  • I'm really scared now. I'm gonna get my flashlight and look for bolsheviks under my bed.

  • Rand predicted nothing. Pursuit of her depraved philosophy is precisely what has led to the problems we have now. A LACK of democracy has been the problem. THe people leaving the economy are the parasites who sucked the money out of it and ruined it. They did nothing. They should have 90% taken to put back into the system.

  • How do toolbags like this get a tv show?

  • lol

  • Yes, look at all the brilliant minds of the great capitalists, Warren Buffet wants his taxes increased, Bill Gates and George Soros donate billions to charity, Ted Turner donated a billion dollars to the UN. These guys never read Ayn Rand, the four guys I just named put her entire book to shame.

  • just how the fuck can someone confuse welfare with darwin? Is that guy Beck stupid or something? Or is it just that his audience is stupid?

  • Ron Paul Money Bomb! Ready Ames Fire! July 19th! Save the country from the establishment RINOS! ronpaul2012 Donate and stop the same old trash every 4 years! Freedom! End the Wars! End the tyranny! Pro America! Civil Liberties! Legalize FREEDOM!

  • what a ignorant bunch of American Liberal capitalists

  • for some reason, i had it in my head that Ayn Rand and 'Atlas Shrugged' was an Evil Socialist, Marxist plot, plotter... i thought GB was totally against Her / her book???

don't know why or where i got that notion. this guy, Yaron Brook make a lot of sense.

  • Do not sanction unreason, huh? Hahahaha.

Seriously though; ARI is making Ayn Rand a joke...

  • Congratulations Beck, you have one the Darwin Retard Award for the complete and utter ridiculousness that is your shitty little program. Thanks for being a fundie christian shitbag who thinks his opinion means that everyone should bend over and suck your penis just because you are the mighty Glen Beck.

  • The ignorance of the Glenn Beck and indeed alot of (but not all) of the Objectivists on this comments page is extraordinary.

Never have i seen such comments about Socialism that lack so little depth of understanding.

One is free to criticise Socialism... but as I am sure Rand would agree one has a duty to fully understand it. The comments that i've seen from Objectivists on youtube show that there only knowledge of socialism is through secondary sources, interpreted by Rand, Conservatives etc.

  • @evilstormsam "The ignorance of the Glenn Beck and indeed alot of (but not all) of the Objectivists on this comments page is extraordinary." Tell me about it. Most (((GB))) fans I talk to in person give me the deer in the headlights look when I mention Mondragon or the Argentinian cooperatives. They know nothing of left-libertarianism, anarchosyndicalism, or...well, you know...they deserve better--that's for sure.

  • Confusing Darwin and Marx......what a clown!!!!!

  • classic Glenn Beck... not understanding the difference between Darwinism and SOCIAL DARWINISM. just because one believes in evolution, does not mean that one has to believe that poor people deserve to be poor and rich people deserve to be rich. OBVIOUSLY this can be true in many cases - but Social Darwinism (which has basically nothing to do with actual darwinism) is a flawed, and offensive theory which assumes that everyone starts with the same opportunities.

  • It's pretty simple. If you don't like Ayn Rand your prob not very intelligent.

  • lol, im gonna get off and fix it.... the delusion? its so funny yet really sad.

  • what a joke for a human being....no intellect whatsoever.....about as smart as a baptist preacher...and thats being generous!!!

  • I realize Yaron gotta jump on any chance to get a say in what goes on, but Glenn Beck? Comeon.

  • NAZI PIG WHORE SLUT...............I WISH I COULD SHIT AND PISS ON THS PIG

  • I'm waiting for John Gault to tap ME on the shoulder!

  • Just coincidentally finished reading " Atlas Shrugged " alongside the Part 1 movie debut. It's not showing in my area, & when I contacted a theater chain who is showing it in another bigger city, they responded that it didn't do well ticket-sales wise & it probably won't come to my area. There ya go, something monumental in message denied in favor of whatever sells at the moment. Glenn, thanks for spreading the good, and hopefully salvational, word before it's " off to hot place in basket!

  • Beck does not understand what socialism is. His hate of socialism is what created

Wall-Street and rich getting rich economic system. This kind of thinking is what

caused House market bubble and still many Americans do not understand their lack of understanding socialism by glorifying capitalism is where we are now. Unforutately, Beck simply has no idea that he has no idea on socialism just like many American-born idiot.

  • @leotube39

Funny, because socialism and crony capitalism is exactly what created the Real estate bubble, and the subsequent recession. Maybe you don't know what socialism entails.

  • @regelemihai Socialism is WORKER CONTROL OF PRODUCTION. Where in America do we have socialism?

  • @tstruss912

One major ideal of Socialism is government control of production, or strong government involvement, as we've seen with Fascism. Government involvement in the Housing Market created the boom and the subsequent bust. That's what I was refering to.

  • @regelemihai Socialism is what I stated: worker control of production, with or without the state involved. The rest is just nonsense that is spouted in order to make it sound bad. Now, why do you think that anti-socialist propaganda is spouted? It's because the elite on the far right (fascists) understand that human nature has two sides, two modes of thinking. They, of course, want you to pick their side, and they use words to convince you. You should check out Lakoff; he explains it well.

  • Fascism is a left wing doctrine, not a right wing one, much less a far right one. Both Fascism and Socialism advocate a state control over industry; the difference is that fascists don't believe in the dissolution of private property, while Socialists do. Nothing "nonsensical" about it. "Worker control" over production is as vague and incoherent as it gets. It either endorses peronal freedom, or it doesn't. There's no middle ground.

  • @regelemihai Worker control of production is vague and has to be done through the state? Look at Mondragon and the cooperative network in Argentina: one worker, one vote, and successful as all hell. How's that vague or incoherent? Socialism is worker control, and what Beck says about it is nonsense, complete nonsense. Also, serious scholars (as well as most people) OVERWHELMINGLY agree that fascism is mostly a far-right ideology. Let me guess theocracy is left-wing too? LOL Come on...

  • Mondragon is a for profit corporation, with a hierarchical managment sector, that works at a small level, not on a national one. Plus, it competes on a global market.

Socialism's main pillar is central planning, instituted by the "dictatorship of the proletariat."

Someone who holds to an ostensibly wrong interpretation of a worldview can call himself a "serious scholar" all he wants; he's still wrong. Otherwise, it's just an argument from authority. Fascism is a left wing ideaology....

  • ..through and through. It advocates a state run economy, insofar as the state picks winners and losers in the free market--otherwise known as crony capitalism. That is not right wing; not by a long shot. Free market capitalism is adamantly opposed to any kind of intervention by the government in capital markets.

You should read her Hitler's remarks in the 1920s; you'll be surprised.

A theocracy is not left wing, no.

  • @regelemihai Also, you are confounding libertarianism with right-wing. They are NOT the same! Those on the far-right that are not libertarian don't give one shit about free-markets. You said Theocracy is not left-wing, good. Then you at some level know that the far-right can also advocate markets that are NOT free. State control can be from left or right, get it? You really need to think of a two axis system to understand what I mean. Up = state control, and down = anarchy.

  • " They are NOT the same!"

Not to the same extent, granted. Neo-con, for example, believe in more government than libertarians do. However, they share the same view on economics, which are diametrically opposed to anything on the left. But government control of means of production is not a right wing ideal. Anarchism, as you righfully point out, is more akin to being a far-right ideaology.

  • @regelemihai How does your one-axis political view account for left-libertarians like me? It can't. You are totally taking only the best from the right and the worst from the left--demonizing one and idealizing the other. Be a bit more fair-minded....like the founders, eh.

  • @regelemihai Fascism is about authority, obedience, brutality, hero-worship, preemptive strikes for "security"....that all sounds right-wing to me. There are also left-wing elements to it, but they are FAR outnumbered by the right-wing elements. Does Mondragon have one worker-one vote? Yup. That makes it socialist. You really need to get information from more than one source. This lying rodeo-clown/disc-jockey is taking you for a ride....telling you what you want to hear, I guess.

  • " but they are FAR outnumbered by the right-wing elements."

Nonsense. It's almost entirely left wing. Powerful central government, government intrusion into the free market, mercantilism, etc--all of these positions run in complete and total contrast to right wing ideals about the economy.

    "That makes it socialist."

That's about the only thing that makes it socialist. It's a for profit organzation, the managers of which make more money than the workers. Plus, as I said before, it is...

  • ...run on a limited and localized sclae; not nationally.

"This lying rodeo-clown/disc-jockey is taking you for a ride."

It's okay, the left's "intellectual" elite is comprised almost entirely of comedians and pseudo intellectuals who have positively brainwashed a large portion of U.S. liberals (who are misinformed enough as it is). They're buying almost any nonsense spouted by any left wing media just because it suits their worldview.

  • @regelemihai The reason we get shit news and look to Jon and others like him is because the media is not what our fair-minded founding fathers intended it to be. We need to come together as a community and pay for elections and the media through taxes. Until that happens we will have private tyrannies running the country. I suspect that many on the right want that because they fear chaos. Anyhow, if you want to believe that nonsense about Hitler and fascism then be my guest.

  • "Anyhow, if you want to believe that nonsense about Hitler and fascism then be my guest."

    *Sigh* :

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak"- Adolf Hitler, 1 May, 1927.

It remains enigmatic as to why the Nazi party was the National SOCIALIST Party. You can mock it all you want, but that doesn't change the facts.

  • @regelemihai The Hitler thing bothers me a bit because my family suffered under him. I think the least we can do is to admit how it really went. I've talked to my grandpa, who is from Putlitz and was a Hitler youth, many times about how it was transitioning from Wiemar to Nazi Germany. He says exactly what the scholars say: Hitler used a leftist agenda and propaganda as a carrot in order to lure the German people into AUTHORITARIAN REGRESSION and a FAR-RIGHT agenda. That's what Glenn never

  • " my family suffered under him."

So did mine; on my mother's side.

He used left wing propaganda, his party was a socialist party, and we're still skeptical about what were his ideaological aspirations? He did not decentralize the markets; if anything he placed an even greater bridle on it. He wasn't a communist, but to say he was right wing is stretching it. Maybe the right wing aspect that is attributed to him, which is also prevalent among some radical traditionalist right wingers in...

  • ... the Staes, is the hardcore nationlist fervor. But economically he was not right wing.

I agree about the grassroots thing. I don't believe that anything violent and radical should take place, as that usually leads to disaster, but there are grassroots movements that are gaining prominence in the U.S. Partisanship and dogma is ruining it, though.--from both sides of the political spectrum, btw.

  • @regelemihai talks about; Germany was a monarchy not long before the Nazi's came and it SLID BACK! How the fuck does that apply to a country that has been a democratic republic for over 200 years?! It's pure fear-mongering dude. That could NEVER NEVER NEVER happen here. It's ridiculous. And, we don't have to choose between voting and Marxism. Both choices are crap. We're gonna have to get off our ass, come together, and fix this thing the grassroots way--that's how it has always been.

  • @regelemihai I really hope to see you out there, fighting, and not in the voting box.

  • @regelemihai But, why do you think that Glenn even brings that crap up? Because it's his job, in the end, somehow, to get you walk into the booth with your head down and tail between your legs and check the box next to the R. We both know the horrible truth...this system is fucked. The right and the "left" are two factions of the same cabal. Voting won't save this country...not even close. We will have to learn how to work together on the things we agree on, and put the rest aside for later.

  • "between your legs and check the box next to the R."

Dunno about you, but if he did try to pull that maneuver, it didn't really work in the last presidential election.

The last portion of your comment is a tad worrying. Voting is the only way to bring about the necessary changes in the system. Otherwise, we are arguing Marxism--which, as far as I understand from your previous posts, you reject as being violent and coersive.

  • @regelemihai "run on a limited and localized sclae; not nationally." I would never want it to be national; all I want is to be able to have the FREEDOM to join one. Right now they are, for practical purposes, banned in America. I want everybody to have the freedom to join whatever type of company they want--that's only fair. Yes, many on the left are being taken for a ride too. It's a sad state when comedians are looked to for news, and Jon said as much in his last interview on Fox.

  • It is sad, I agree. I saw that interview today.

  • @regelemihai

Are you dumb? The world has been going at a full neo-liberalism throttle for the past 30 years until the real estate bubble blew up. Socialism my arse - Fannie and Freddie Mac were only a small part of the problem. Ask the unregulated Wall Street bankers on why the recent crisis happened.

  • "Socialism my arse - Fannie and Freddie Mac were only a small part of the problem."

I'd like to hear how an ever increasing government is in line with neo-liberalism philosophy, but on the face of it your claim is utter nonsense. The biggest buyers and seller of subprime mortgages were Fannie and Freddie. Close to half of all the mortagages issued were bought by them. It's silliness at bets to claim they had a minor role. The other main factor was the Fed furnishing credit at exhorbitant...

  • ...rates for 3-4 years.

To chalk it up to to "deregulation" is about as simplistic and idiotic as it gets. In order to understand the phenomenon, one must study the full scope of the crisis. It's easy to throw around popular political slurs; any moron can do it. We need to be better than that.

  • @regelemihai

Fannie and Freddie Mac would obviously not have been an issue if lending regulations were stricter, and banks were required to reduce their leverage. Both cases in which free-for-all deregulation did not work.

Granted, it's a matter of wise policy choices, which sometimes mean more or less regulation. But the behaviour of the American finance industry in the last few years clearly indicated a need for more sticks than carrots.

  • "ld obviously not have been an issue if lending regulations were stricter"

House republicans tried to pass regulations on them(both GOVERNMENT enterprises), and were derailed by democrats like Barney Frank and senator Dodd. And yes, their very existance was the problem. When two government corporations assure banks a steadily increasing flow of cash, and an insurance on future losses, you get more risk taking, and leveraging. That and, as I said before, the role the Fed played in giving...

  • ...away excess liquidity to the banks; i.e., the proverbial carrots. Had all of these factors not been a part of the picture, the crisis would've been relegated to the realm of fiction. Gov. giving incentives to private banks to act recklessly is what spurred the the inevitable collapse. To identify these measures as being a part of classical liberalism is simply false.

  • Beck does not understand what socialism is. His hate of socialism is what created

  • These people make me sick. They act like success and wealth is simply the result of hard work. Thats it. If you work hard, you will be successful. Which is of course, bullshit. People are born into impoverished nations, families and societies. People are born with disabilities. People are discriminated against for their race, their sexual preferences or gender. People suffer acts of god, of violence, accidents and natural disasters. This fallacy about success must die. We all need each other.

  • @BadlanAlun so true

  • If you take away incentives for the productive people of America and take away their fruits and give it to the unproductive then you end up with a level playing field that everybody is flat broke! The playing field is even in a cemetary but everybody is dead! This social agenda of Obama is leading to a dead economy! If you play Robin Hood too long you finally end up with no more rich to rob from? Engel's and Mark's was tried for 70 years in Russia! It does not work! Wake-up America! James Sasse

  • @indiajesuslovesyou

Funnily enough, Obama continued the Bush-era tax cuts for millionaires and extended the payroll tax cut over the Republican opposition - what social agenda?

    You are a fucking moron.

  • We should dig Ayn Rand up urinate on her and bury her again~@adeyami

  • @Adeyami1 faggot

  • Ayn Rand is my hero

  • Ayn Rand and Glenn Beck... what garbage.

  • I see that Ayn Rand's followers preserved her shitty accent.

  • @Yupiyeahs And whose to say people like Glenn Beck and Yaron Brook are xenophobes. Get a brain you douche

  • @Xwaxtaxper Xenophobe? Really now? The first video interviews with Rand were taken in the mid-50s. She moved to the U.S. somewhere around early 1920s. It takes a special breed of ineptitude to still sound like a Russian villain from a James Bond movie after living for 35-fucking-years among native speakers. So, please, if you want to call me some kind of phobe, make it a dipshitphobe.

Also, it's "who's to say" not "whose to say", smart guy.

  • @Yupiyeahs Seriously you're not that smart. Why you're banging on about Rand is beyond me as the xenophobia implication is what people who are anti-Beck and anti-conservative usually attach to Beck and conservatism, which in turn is ironic as you're making fun of a person's accent (a classic tactic of xenophobia) just because of that person'spolitical beliefs. You also go on like a monkey about Rand's inability to speak without a Russian accent as evidence of ineptitude which is strange part 2

  • I mean god what a helpful metric of eptitude phonology is when you have an entire philosophical movement named after a book which has sold millions of copies around the world.

As for the spelling grammar, yeah it's also nice to know that you have a chip the size of a dictionary wrapped with Stalin's condom on your shoulder.

I mean all the hate for Rand that ya got, did she molest you when you were a child or something?

  • @Xwaxtaxper Rand did rape my kitten, but that's beyond the point. Aside from being mildly loony, I really don't have any reservations about her. I certainly haven't announced any here.

What I did talk about was her utter lingual incompetence. Barely a xenophobic remark. If an American diplomat spent 35 years in Russia and still spoke with a thick Texan accent, I'd raise the very same point.

I'm glad that you've learnt the word "ineptitude" today. Unfortunately, "eptitude" itself doesn't exist.

  • @Yupiyeahs I'm pretty sure Rand didn't rape your kitten. She isn't into bestiality. She isn't into you either.

But I go back to my original point which is that pointing out the linguistic incompetence of a person is a classic tactic of argumentation among xenophobes. And when that linguistic competency is used to judge the accomplishments of a person whose work has spawned an entire philosophical movement, that person comes off as a fucking moron.

  • @Xwaxtaxper Stalking now, are we? Did blunt truth hurt your feelings that much? Poor little thing.

Once again, nobody undermined Rand's political ideas, although they were little more than an extreme version of Milton Friedman's economics; merely her complete inability to speak and, arguably, write in a cohesive and coherent manner.

Calling somebody a Japanese whore does sound mildly xenophobic though; quod erat demonstrandum, you are a racist pig.

  • @Yupiyeahs "stalking now, are we?" Well you know what they say about cancer: it multiplies very fast. But no worries, the cure is just as powerful. (hence the multiplicity of my posts to your Americanophobia cancer across multiple YouTube threads).

Funny how you say Rand can't write in a cohesive and coherent manner when she's pioneered the study of objectivism. It's also funny how she's can't speak either (with an accent?) when she's been on multiple TV interviews.

    Actually part 2

  • the term Japanese whore does fit you very well, I bet you your the kind of weirdos who hates Rand and the US so much you'd gladly serve your communist masters in Beijing as a court eunuch even though they've openly called Japan a historical vassal state of China and where the people think of Japs as dogs.

    Seriously, you're fucking weird.

  • @Xwaxtaxper Your bullshit generating abilities are truly fascinating, albeit not factual, considering that Objectivism was "invented" by G. Frege in early 19th c.

This is getting so very repetitive now. Call the opponent a Russian hater, praise Rand, then call them an American hater, praise Rand, then call them a Japanese whore, praise Rand, then call them a Chinese communist eunuch and again praise Rand. Is that really all your feeble, racist mind is capable of, moocher? How utterly pathetic.

  • @Yupiyeahs Yeah no really look it up dumbass, Ayn Rand virtually founded objectivism.

Remember you sorry fuck you were the one who thought it's great to mock the English accent of Rand and a guy who praised Rand. I bet your just some high-school graduate who thinks he/she's hot shit, but in reality your just a low-life coward. Please do me a favor and fuck off now, go do something more productive like beating and sodomizing your kitten to show it just what a manly YouTube warrior you are.

  • @Xwaxtaxper A high school graduate? OMFG. Is this your beacon of academic achievement? I must give you props here. Out of all the idiots and failures I've met on YouTube, your aptitude (not "eptitude") for character self-assassination is undeniably the all-time number one. Not only did you manage to contradict yourself several times, make racist remarks while calling someone else a xenophobe, but also admitted that you're too dumb to pass GCSE. Well played, Sir, well played. A true moocher.

  • @Yupiyeahs GCSE So you're a Jap in Britain, which leaves me wondering why the fuck you'd put on your YouTube page that you're from Greece.

Get real you sociopath, you're foaming at the mouth now. I'm not even American, so I don't know where I said I'm too dumb to pass the GCSE. I think you're starting to hallucinate now you needa stop getting off your medication or your indolence is going to end up killing you.

  • @Xwaxtaxper This is just getting more and more amusing. You're not denying it, which, according to Glenn Beck logic, only reaffirms the notion that you've failed at school. Congrats, you're a certified moron.

Interesting how a non-xenophobe is so intrigued by my nationality. It's also intriguing that you support Rand. Have you actually read Atlas Shrugged? Somehow, I doubt it, considering the fact that it's a book about those who know how to spell committing genocide against those who do not. :D

  • Comment removed

  • Reaffirm the notion i've failed at school how you ignoramus? You're the failure here for thinking that I've failed at taking the GCSE

Actually you're right that I'm intrigued by your nationality and how you're willing to prostitute yourself for another nationality that calls your nationality dogs, scum and cockroaches. But then again I'm not surprised given how you suffer from schizophrenia

Yes I have read Atlas Shrugged and yes it's better than your bedtime novel of Mein kampf. Fucking weirdo

  • @Xwaxtaxper Look, sporty, you can't accuse somebody of being a communist and then state that their favourite book is Mein Kampf. That doesn't even qualify as trying (yes, even for a high school drop-out). At least you could accuse me of jerking off to Das Kapital, praying to the Communist Manifesto or, if you're really creative, imagine that my cat's name is Stalin or something.

Then again, one can't expect all that much from an cretin, who thinks that Mein Kampf is novel.

  • @Yupiyeahs Yes you returded fuck a communist can be a fascist too; the two are both sides of the same totalitarian coin. And yes Mein Kampf is a novel it's quasi-literary-esque narration on a person's warped philosophy on racial supremacy, lebensraum and anti-Semitism, etc.

Seriously you sound like a paranoid sociopath. First you ridicule a person's accent just because of their political beliefs, then you accuse me of failing the GCSE when I don't even live in the UK. I wouldn't be part2

  • surprised if your farmyard parents tried to commit bushido after knowing what a failure they gave birth to.

  • @Xwaxtaxper I think you mean seppuku or harakiri. Bushido is a warrior code, you can't commit it. You might also want to look into the definition of the word "novel". A narrative text is not necessarily a novel. While you're at it, look up communism. While "communists" (e.g. Stalin, Mao, etc.) can be totalitarian, communism in itself is authority agnostic. Any political sciences freshman can tell you that.

This is starting to get tedious. I suggest finishing high school, sporty. Then we'll talk.

  • Comment removed

  • many aspects of fascism in its operationalization.

You kind of people are the reason why I think it's a pity we killed the wrong people when we dropped the nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

  • @Yupiyeahs If it's starting to get tedious for you, why do you keep responding to my comments you turdbag?

Yeah bushido, seppuku harakiri I really don't give a shit if I get Japanese terminology right as I'm not even Japanese. As for the novel thing, yes I'm aware that a novel need not be narrative (though a narrative it usually is) it has to be a narrative usually in some literary prose. As for communism, it's only authority agnostic IN THEORY, but in practice (and in theory) it draws on part2

  • @Xwaxtaxper is just a Taiwanese Chink SHIT-EATER who is impersonating others in order to avoid losing face by showing how inferior he is to the rest of the planet, in fact he is a Taiwanese dog that eats dog feeces at every meals of his life. He is on Youtube busy trolling 24/7 365 days a year sometimes 366 eating shit all the time and showing how stupid and retarded he is :) #LOL

  • @Yupiyeahs Notice how the stupid yellow bitch troll known as @Xwaxtaxper (aka, Taiwanese Chink SHIT-EATER) likes to laugh at it's own non-existent wit? poor troll, just too pathetic for words... #LOL

  • @DemocracyGIadiator SO MUCH FOR CHINESE PEOPLE TAKING OFFENSE TO OTHERS WHEN THEY CALL EM CHINKS

  • People take either of these idiots seriously? Neither of them know anything about socialism.

  • Did he just lump Darwinism and Socialism in the same sentence??? Has he hear of Social Darwinism? Brilliant...

  • Ayn Rand supported Socialism

  • State control is the best solution, taking care of the poor and everybody being the same is morally correct. The rich are the facist, selfish bastards it isnt fair living with the minimum wage while the rich live life to the fullest. The goverment has the power to control the coporations if they want to leave to China or mexico; lets see if those selfish pigs could go through the military.

  • @MrEricenriquez Yeh because state control's working out really well in North Korea. Get fucking real

  • the more things change the more they stay the same, all this talk is just entertainment solves nothing

  • Does Glenn Beck realize that Ayn Rand was an atheist?

  • Beck should read more of his Bible, particulary the New Testament, AKA the most socialist piece of literature ever written.

    - Acts 2:32-45

  • @Keysteeze But you are encouraged to be charitable not the gov stealing it from you then redistributing it for you .Its not how much you make as much as what you as a person give .When gov gives you everything they can take everything

  • @truckdawg43 I agree with you sir. Of course the preferential option would be to have them give willingly. Unfortunately this is not that case. As is evidenced by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet only getting a handful of billionaires to donate half of their wealth upon death. I acknowledge that it is a form of "theft". However I believe that the more one has the more unacceptable it becomes that they do not help others.

  • @Keysteeze But who are you or I to say what to do with a persons own money .Theft is a different matter of course they cant keep it they stole it .A man earns it , it is his ! pure and simple .Bill Gates and Warren Buffet earned it and are giving back God bless em both. If the other billionaires dont want to give and figure the 60 % they already pay is enough well God bless them also .They earned it its theirs .You know the most charitable are children of billionaires

  • @truckdawg43 Look at Trumps kids

  • Why do Conservatives keep pretending the Government is the reason companies move over seas? The real reason is cheaper labor, less regulation(which actually is meant to protect you dummies) and in some cases incentives and exemptions. We get shitty products from over seas. Less of it. Higher and higher prices. Profits at all costs and the consumer will suck it up still. Why don't you demand some damn patriotism from them as well. Glenn your a Mormon conspiracy theorist neo-con fool.

  • @MikeNitro94

Regulation is like a fence to alot of companies preventing them from expanding and controlling aspects of their operations. You need SOME regulation to keep companies from spying on eachother and sutff.

  • @MikeNitro94 TAXES moron

  • @truckdawg43 You really blame it on taxes? What an asshole you must be. I'm sick and tired of Americans complaining about taxes. Do you idiots like roads and bridges and school? What about cops and firemen? What about highways and hospitals? You idiots claim to love this country, but seem to not want to contribute to it! We have a higher quality of life here, so we must sustain it. Pay your fucking taxes and shut up! BTW, I'm sure your not wealthy, so you cant be Republican. U don't have enough!

  • @MikeNitro94 I am not wealthy I an a truck driver unemployed right now And I am very Republican. The taxes I am talking about are the ones that go to pay for earmarks .Tea cup museums Bridges to no where. Dont assume that our taxes are in the hands of capable responsible people cause they aint .I believe our civil service can not be matched and are woefully under paid for the jobs they do .Oh and yes I am an asshole when it comes to lib dem whinners I am what us hillbillys call Pure D asshole

  • @truckdawg43 The Bush Tax incentives that Dems so dearly want dropped I know of Six companies it helped and 30 jobs with our company alone .My Dem boss used them to buy a machine that cost over a million and was able to hire and create more job thus more people paying more taxes .Its a wonderment how some dems can not figure that out. What do you think ? and isnt it amazing how the economy took a dive when the Dems took over the house's .Maybe a for telling of things to come .

  • @truckdawg43 Ok, now we get some meat with the potatoes! Your an unemployed truck driver? Well how did your state senator vote on your unemployment benefits? Buddy, believe me earmarks are the least of your concerns. So is the national debt. Your guys want those tax cuts so bad , they would starve your family to get em. You may be an asshole and proud of it, but it doesn't make you more American than me. You're not working because Republicans destroyed our economy...for greed. I Am The Truth!!

  • @MikeNitro94 Ok see if you can follow along jr .the upper income the dems talk about are those earning aproc 200 to 250k a year .Which basically is the small business man all the way up to those dastardly billionaires ,who by the way pay 60% of all taxes .DAMN EM !.Now what incentive have I got to maybe go and start my own business ? if I earn too much I get penalized .I have to purchase more equipment but I cant because the tax cuts are gone and I wont be able to write the new equipment off

  • @truckdawg43 Now then if i had the tax cuts I would be able to write off all my equip bought new or used .So I go used and am able to buy more trucks and put more drivers on the road .That is what my boss a dem if I havent mentioned it did.He bought brand new equip and put 30 guys to work .That equip now sits rusting.

Now lets follow the the unemp line .Us truck driver are down we dont haul the product, the people who sold us part for all the different equip are standing next to me .

  • @truckdawg43 The people who used the product are standing next to me .Guess what we aint paying taxes, but wait a tick the dems gonna save the day Raise taxes !! wait no one is working .Obama give us gov jobs !! lots of gov jobs ,wait who pays gov jobs THE UNEMP TAX PAYER !! Well that wont work .Pres Obama keeps the tax cuts in .Earmarks National debt not our concern ? Tell that to yer kids ,grand kids etc.Republicans at fault ? There was a 4.8 % unemp under Repubs 4.7 or 6 is full emp

  • @truckdawg43 There is your fuckin meat and potato's aint hard to see .Its pretty simple actually .All I have to do is talk to my friends that used to buy, work ,associate with .The business is solid we sold sand simple plain ole sand our sand was so good we sold it to Texas .Can you believe that we sold sand to Texas

  • Glenn, Yaron Brook is a champion of the fascist Pinochet. But Glenn Beck is so unbelievably stupid he doesn't know this. Yaron also believes that Religion is foolish. He's a secular atheist Glenn. Yaron Brooks philosophy is the ultimate goal in the true meaning of progressive fascism. Oh and by the way Glenn, Rand's objectivism philosophy is applauded by satanism. Yaron also believes in no restrictions on dumping, or child labor.

  • @jrmsher33 You're an idiot who understands absolutely nothing about Rand. Religion is not just foolish, it's dangerous and stupid and evil and immoral and disgusting and child molesting and should be put in the dust bin of history.

  • The Ayn Rand Institute believes that the middle class is a nothing but an ignorant robot to serve progress. If you aren't rich and have no means of competing against huge corporations, you are basically a tool in which industry can use however they see fit. If a corporation feels fit to pollute a and kill a human being that human being was stupid for not competing with that entity. It's economic Darwinism in which the handicapped and retarded are left to die. The old you are worthless

  • 0:36 Unfortunately all the productive people are still sticking around today. o.O

  • "Give it to everyone"...

  • Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Weetawded.....

  • Dear Socialists,

I don't want to pay for your healthcare. I'm just not gonna work anymore. We can all just go on welfare and eventually collapse.

  • Glenn Beck...idiot ...second only to Yaron Brook....

  • HA HA HA! The guy said the productive people are sticking around, and then Beck talked for thirty seconds and the next time he talked he said "exactly, they're all either leaving or they're giving up!"

Glenn Beck will soil Ayn Rand's work with his selective interpretations.

    Everyone read Atlas Shrugged!

  • Our economy is no longer an industy based economy. Professionals and Wall Street dominate the majority of our economy. Wall Street used to allow for industries to grow. Now they trick people into buying homes and hiking up the interests, then the bank combines the mortgages, sells them as a package to a trader who tosses them to someone else and then toss them to an insurer and then who ever ends up with it loses. AIG was fucking around with 597 TRILLION DOLLARS! The world GDP is 61 trillion.

  • @HearingEveryRhyme uhhh...wrong 597 trillion....go back to school

  • If the true entrepreneurs and creators pulled an "Atlas Shrugged," how the collectivists would howl.

  • they can't. They just can't. I know a lot of people, that have personalities just like the characters in the book, and pulling a galt is something they cannot do

Its not in their nature, I hear them say things like, "even if the taxes are high, I'll find a way to build my future the way I want it"

They are like work horses that work harder the more you take from them. They just can't help it. They will not "go galt" until the taxes are so high, they can't build their future, period

  • Glenn, what would you rather have: 5 winners and 995 losers, or 1000 equals?

  • huh? I don't get it. I mean, do you really think there are that many losers, that are completely incapable of doing anything for themselves?

I don't even know what point you're trying to make, clarification?

  • @LordVigeous666999:

Well, 5% of the population own 95% of the wealth. What do you mke of that?

  • yeah, because owning a factory and an office building, woo hoo, I wish I could get me some of that action

I mean really, would you prefer before capitalism, when a SINGLE person owned 100% of the wealth?

Remember, as King, you own everything, literally; every building, every hammer, every piece of of armor, every horse, and every square inch of land, and people paid tribute to king, for permission to be on HIS land, and use HIS assets

Sounds to me like we're gaining ground

  • Also, just remember who is in that top 10%, we're talking small business owners, mom and pop shops, and yes, the super rich. I know you said 5%, but I don't know who all is in that, I do know, in the US if you make more $80K a year, you're in the top 10% income earners, and a lot of that wealth, is the land and buildings used by small businesses

I mean, should we redistribute the small businesses to the Smallest Businesses? How small before its small enough for you to leave it alone?

  • @LordVigeous666999 If you call an increase from one person to 5% in divided ownership of the wealth in 200 years progress, good for you.

Why don't you let them trample on the other side of your face too.

  • well, also in this time, people have went from being one bad harvest from starving to death, to one of the biggest problems being over eating, along with many other examples I wont cite here

4 the first time in civilized HISTORY; 5,000+ years of absolute destitute poverty for virtually every person. For the FIRST TIME IN HISTORY, poverty is being removed, and you're not happy with how fast its going?

So I guess you should tell me, what is the correct amount of time for progress on this scale?

  • @SecretHolder Glenn, and anyone w/ a brain would rather have 5 winners. The only way for everyone to be equal is for some entity(let's say government, shall we?) to make it so. And the equality would be a greatly degenerated standard from what liberty would allow in pure capitalism. Socialism has failed society at every turn. It is bringing the US to it's knees.

  • @kickyerass

Why would nyone want only five winners. Please do tell

  • Glenn Beck interviewing Elmer Fudd about a book by an apolitical outspoken atheist! the US political system isn't how the right wing claim it is, the left being the mystics of body and the right be the mystics of spirit.

  • not a nightmare...more wars and possibly a draft...for women too; the elite still lives well regardless.

  • The way I see it, this just leads to slavery. People end up working hard to make a paycheck, %70 of it ends up going to the government or more... But hey, thats okay, because the government then provides for you what you need (Health care, food, etc...). Essentially, they're taking your money from you, giving it back, and expecting you to be grateful. You're working FOR the government, even if your in a private sector job. It may not be like that now, but if we let it grow... well....

  • Wish Ayn Rand was still alive. Would love to hear hear her first hand opinion on Glen Beck's plagarism (and Televangelist-mixing) of her ideas for fun and profit... Wonder when old weepy Glen is going to discuss her belief on the "monstrosity of Original Sin".

  • no matter what ,,the government and big coporate owners touch the money and get the most while dey wipe dey ass wit our tax dollars ,no matter what economic system u support the workers will never get what dey deserve and the ones left out to hustle for whatever possible can't get a chance with out playing the game of POLITRICKS...its the truth look at the past 50yrs it explains itself....life is fair we just can't get over the dependecy of materialistic things in our society instead of values.

  • Ayn Rand was right on a number of subjects...

  • Ayn Rand - The Best

  • It's simple. Socialism has become the new scare tactic. It's the new and improved killer bee, nuclear bomb, criminal illegal alien, Marylin Manson cd, terrorist threat, everything that could ever be deemed non-americana. Of course non of which has anything what so ever to do with socialism...and of course, that's the whole point.

  • Socialism is all about Human Rights ,well those that suits the regime of course, like you have a right of healthcare ( want it or not doesnt matter ) or a right of a job or a right of a home, there is NO place for your god given rights, because you know ,they know best whats good for you,oh and yes this excludes you right of free choice, you right of personal freedom, freedom of speech,so on

  • Gotta read "Atlas Shrugged"

  • Socialism sucks. Everyone should pay their fair share. There are a few blue states in America footing the bill for everyone else. NJ, NY, CA, etc. These states pick up 80% the tab for every federal program including the wars we are fighting. Let the other states go bankrupt. These goddamn welfare cases like South Carolina and Alabama, wipe them off the map already. Why do I have to work hard and pay taxes, so some redneck kid in Tennessee can go to school? Damn redneck socialists

  • @GGstrikesfat You do understand that the vast majority of the welfare state is paying out to the inner cities. Blue states that live off the consumerism of their urban areas are the ones going face first into bankruptcy before any other state.

NJ, NY and CA are among the states deepest in the red when it comes to unfunded liabilities and crippling public sector union pension payments.

Unless you're being ironic, my mistake, it was lost on me, you can never tell these days.

  • Yes you are right and this is because these states get little back compared to what they give to the gov't. I live in a small town in NJ, and we get about 3% of what we pay back from NJ, who also gets a small amount back from the gov't. Of course there is always corruption here, but ignoring that still most property tax money goes to poor urban areas like Newark and Camden, mostly for education. The state aid for education was just cut by 89% in my town by the man I voted for.

  • @GGstrikesfat Well unfortunately, if entitlements (throwing more money at a problem) solved it then there would no longer be a need for entitlements. All they do is promote a servile subsistence at the pleasure of the State.

I'm going to assume that being in NJ and talking about state aid you mean Cristie, what I understand about what he's attempting is to lean down government pension nonsense rather than spare it like a favorite child from belt-tightening that the rest of gov't and us have to

  • Corporate welfare--over $1.5,000,000,000,000 per year.

    40,000,000 illegals

50,000,000 legals get SSI, DPA, AFDC, WIC, HUD credits, Food Stamp, Fuel Stamp, Medicare, Medicaid etc. combined

    $2,000,000,000,000 per year.

  • You guys who mentioned the USSR should understand why it failed. It is a system that assumes an erroneous view of resource production and consumption, political regulation and distribution. There is no impetus to innovate; the fools had to steal factory plans and technology from freer countries. It simply cannot work in reality.

As for Alan Greenspan- his statement is worthless given the context. He was man-handling a mixed economy, it was regulation that failed.

  • glenn beck is the truth

  • One of the smartest acolytes of Rand, Alan Greenspan, admitted that his Randian inspired ideology (i.e. that free markets will regulate themselves) was wrong. If he has admitted defeat, then Beck and Brook should as well.

  • Oh, of course, because Greenspan has proven himself to be a great economist.

  • LOL. Yeah, he's the BEST!

  • When people say Rand is a crap stylist my response is Dostoevsky.

  • ayn rand fled the USSR in the early 1920s because of the tyranny she saw. this tyranny is often mislabeled as communism, socialism what have you, when in reality it was leninism. lenin distorted some of marx and engel's most fundamental steps (i.e. revolution in a modernized, capitalist country), and he and the USSR consequentially stumbled, never coming very close to actual communism.

  • Socialism doesn't work period. if you don't like this country and want socialism please get out and go to a socialist country, we don't want you here.

  • @xelf

Well, #9, the argument that because a person is anti-Beck, he is automatically a socialist is not a winning argument. Do you favor legal immigration? If you do, you are a traitor and you are the one who should leave out. And looking at capitalism, i.e., the ultra-waste, (we have the retail capacity for 1.5,000,000,000 in the U.S.), we see we shouldn't be bragging.

  • This IS a Socialist country.
