i ask cuz i can hear the slightest bit of distortion from the styrene pressing. Get a conical stylus for those. Trust me, i burnt up a pressing of Mtume' Juicy Fruit using an eliptical stylus. Never again!
@ginsud Sadly, the inner groove distortion was already present to this copy before I came to own it. I know conical styli are optimal for the job, but I can honestly say I've never had issues with an elliptical on styrene pressings. I normally track with a microline stylus but unless they're perfectly aligned, they can carve up styrene pressings like a hit knife thru butter. Unless I've recently checked my alignment & tracking force, I may just go with another tip & cart instead.
You just uploaded two of my favorite songs from the 70s. I'm such a vinyl head. Again...great audio. the bass sounds awesome on my tricked out computer speakers with sub-woofer. YEAH!
