This is a carrera 4S. 4S means its all wheel drive with power to the front wheels varying from 5 to 30%. The S indicates that it is on the "wide body" turbo platform which means it has a wider rear end than a "narrow body". It shares the same body, brakes, and suspension as a turbo, however, it has the same wet sump engine as any other non-turbo 911. I used to own one of these works of art before owning a turbo...and anyone who abuses this car doesnt appreciate what it truly is.

I saw a review of the 997 C4 on Youtube that claimed raising the handbrake one click disengages the front transaxle. Maybe that works on the 996 too? I have an '03 C4S but won't put the car into a spin to find out.

While the 996 Turbo, with 420 HP, certainly qualifies a supercar, I'm not sure the 996 C4S, with 320 HP and a base price of around 80K) falls into that catagory.

there is no smoke coz it's a 4 WD,although it's devided with more torque in the rear wheels,but in such situatuions,the division is 50/50 so we can't have horrbl smoke,but in a carrera2 or GT3,GT2 it will be amazing
