That depends on how you perform the fatality in certain MK titles. On MK2 if you just do Up, Up, High Punch instead of Down, Down, Up, Up, High Punch, you won't hear "Toasty". On MK4 you have to hold down and High Punch IIRC at a certain time to get Dan Forden to say "Toasty 3D!"

Like AgeCousins said, Mortal Kombat vs DC wasn't supposed to be gorey because I don't think people wanted to see superheroes like Superman and Batman being ripped apart. Even thought it might have been funny to see, considering I hate Superman. Why MK chose to cross over with DC, I'm not entirely sure.
