Just a quick question, was your wonderful rendition of garryowen ever released on mp3? If so, where can I get/download it? It will be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot for your time.
This friggin' rocks, I was there that night, (I'm in the crowd on this vid). Do you have this recorded on CD? I'd love to have a copy too! 7th First! Out Front! Garry Owen!
this vid rocks, glad 2 see our troops can ROCK as well as they protect and defend our country and values ! thanks 4 sharing . my dad was a marine in WWII fought on okinowa . i still have his purple heart . God bless
WOW!!! I love this!!!! Add me to your list of people wanting this on disc. I was 4/7 Cav in the Army. Would have loved to have this playing in my ears while I was gunning out of my Huey in Operation Desert Storm!! ROCK ON!!! Garry OWEN!!!!
who were your guitarist's? or the one in the white shirt? Just kinda of curious even though this is old the kinda... and the club papaya isnt there anymore.. its an upstairs club ontop of a club called sportsmen.. the club is closed and sportsman uses that part now for pool tables.. i know because sportsman is where i met my wife when i was in korea
it closed? man- that sucks!!! the band consisted of a 2LT fom the artillery unit on casey (can't remember his name), one of our PFCs that was in the FST, and an E-5 in the support platoon was the guy in the white shirt. sucks i can't remember their names, but i am under a lot of stress right now.
we played this in a bar called the Papaya Club on the main club strip in TDC. What a dive- we fit about 300 cav guys in a bar built for about 60 people. Drank it completely dry in about 2 hours. all the beer and hard liquor. YEAH!!! CAV!!!
Noone told me about it!! One of my fav moments was being on stage at the Club in Munsan singing to the crowd, I forgot the name of that club! Damn. Anyways, I would have loved to relive that moment again at the Papaya! oh well, I guess it's too late to get mad about it now
