  • thanks mate.

  • you got this patch from 'the widdler' he gave it away free in a file a while ago

  • @Remdon4x4 Come back to me whn you've been producing for a year and your ear is properly tuned in to sound, then let me know if you still think its the same sound. Also, check the date that my video was posted. Now fuck off noob.

  • @Tasbo1982 lad iv been producin 4 years and it sounds like youve changed maybe some eq at the max an osc and he posted the file around 2009 2010 so dont talk shit, just admit where you cheated, it sounds exactly the same as a bass my friend made go look for dub-z and remdon an youll hear

  • @Remdon4x4 OK, if you've been producing for 4 years you should know there's many different ways of producing similar sounds. Why dont you check out my latest video and see how close my sounds are to other producers like datsik excision and skrillex. I've got a pack being released on loopmasters. You think I got those as freebies too? Still dont beleive me, why dont you directly compare this patch to Widdlers patch, which i've never even seen by the way. Then come tell me its the same.

  • Thank you for the great tutorials, I made a video in order to show my appreciation for what you do on my youtube.com account page...PlOt...OuT...

  • This is a bit sloppily done man.. not well really. Not the synth the tutorial. I couldnt really follow it... half way through when I made my equalizers i gave up.

  • @romelloWilliams11 lol noobs will be noobs

  • not datsik sounding at all

  • I used this on one of my creations and I must thank you for it with all my respect.I am not really good at making high quality wobbles so thanks a lot really.

  • when i download the file what do i do next after its on reason

  • dude this sounds nice...how do u do it in fl studio please?

  • @rjisreal

You don't. Unless you get a copy of Massive or something.

  • @itchydez i do have massive, but I would rather do it in albino 3, cuz I want to learn to use albino

  • WOW thanks man that was so cool, that definitely has opened my mind to some new ideas, and I love the sound, I'll post some soundcloud links at some point. Thanks!!

  • Wicked Patch mate. I tweaked it a little to my own tastes, and programmed the combinator to control the LFO Rate, a portamento on/off switch and amount control, and the same with the delay Dry wet on the 3rd split channel.

Got some tidy noise coming out of it now, thanks to you tutorial. Nice one, cheers!

  • @ThatsMistaTwistToYou

Thanks mate, yeah good technique isn't it!

Send me a soundcloud/youtube link some time.

  • @Tasbo1982 Nice tutorial! Picked up some cool techniques :)

  • Hey. Just to say.. SICK tutorial!.. just one thing.. when you were hooking up your LFO's 1, 2 and 3. What were the destinations of the oscillators. are they going to Osc1 Pos? and Osc2 Pos etc? or to the Frequencies or to Pitch or whatever? that's the only thing I can't really make out on the video.

  • @joepbailey Thanks,

I think they are the osc wavetable positions, but why not just download the exact patch? There's a link in the description.

    Tom.

  • @Tasbo1982 .. haha.. shit :-P didn't realise that!!! cheers man.

  • I cant stress enough how great of a deal this was for ruffly $16 US. Not only does it come with amazingly constructed wobble lines, that for someone who doesn't have the time to tinker and fine tune Reason's labyrinth of synth possibilities. It also comes with pages of insane sound engineering tips and tricks, that if you have a decent understanding of the mechanics behind Reason, and a few ounces of creativity will change the ways in which you produce.

  • @IAmThinkTank Wow!

High praise! - don't give up on fruity though, you can use it as the master to rewire reason into - so you can use both programmes at once!

  • @Tasbo1982 been tryna do that hoow!?? i wanna make the drums in reason and bass in massive i got ableton and cubase but cant get it workin in cubase and am a total novice at ableton>>?

  • @MagmaticisParallax Its really easy, and there are loads of tutorials on youtube on how to do it. Check them out! Rewiring is great, make sure you invest the time in learning how to do it. You won't regret it I promise.

  • @Tasbo1982 thanx man will do

  • @Tasbo1982 , hey thanks again man that was freaking sweet, and yea rewiring is whats up i have logic, and a little home studio so now boredom is a way less frequent thing :)

  • @MagmaticisParallax Damn, im in the same position as you. I want to use Cubase or Ableton and run Reason and Massive through it but im a noob. FML haha

  • this would have been a great tutorial if u would have just told us the numbers...

  • @djfractalify Good point. Next time i'll bear that in mind.

You can download the exact patch. Link in the description.

  • WHat are the chorus settings at? You don't need to redo the vid, just lemme know numbers on knobs. I would appreciate it!

  • @MichelleSuxMyD If you download the patch in the description its all there. But mess around with the settings yourself mate, you will be able to tailor it to your own tracks, thats why I dont give the exact number, it doesn't have to be exact...

    Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks for the tutorial learned a lot, i dont know if you take requests but i would love to know how to recreate the bassline from skrillexs scary monsters and nice sprites.

  • @gingerdude9876543 I'm working on a Shrillex pack as we speak, stay tuned.

  • Great tutorial mate! and thanks for the patch gonna go blast it in the Studio lol!

  • @Adzbo20 No problem.

  • @Tasbo1982 This is the only vid on youtube that shows how to make well produced grimey basslines in reason. These tones sound like they came out of massive. Great tut!

  • @pentagram715 Thank you. I really appreciate your feedback mate. Hope you learned a couple of cool techniques.

  • Great tut man, and yeh I agree this is definitely for those who are experienced with Reason before hand, is there anyway you could save it as a patch and upload it somewhere, for easier purpose. Nice vid anyway, dubs the way.

  • @XstatikDubstep My bad :') I didnt see the download

  • @XstatikDubstep Its in the description - there's a link. Check out my advert for the pack too.

  • THIS IS NOT CLEAR! IM A NEWBY N U NEED TO START FROM NOTHING AND OPEN EVERYTHING SLOWLY N EXPLAINING! THIS IS A WANK TUTORIAL M8 . DONT JUST ASSUM PEOPLE KNOW THIS SHIT

  • @phillfenn This is an advanced tutorial for people who know how to use their software - if you want to learn how to use the software there are plenty of other tutorials - If I walked you through everything it would be an hour long, so people who actually know how to use it would think it was "wank". And there are a lot more of them than you. I gave you a freebie as well you cunt, so stop fucking moaning.

  • @Tasbo1982 GET FUCKED ITS NOT A TUTORIAL IF UR SAYING IT'S FOR PEOPLE THAT KNOW THIS SHIT ALREADY... AND DONT FUCKING CALL ME A CUNT U FUCKIN ILITERATE PIECE OF SHIT!

  • @Tasbo1982 dont call me a cunt

  • @phillfenn

I don't need to start from scratch, because i'm not catering for newbies, I don't have time...If you need to learn how to use your software then read the fucking manual, and stop wasting other people's time.

"Illiterate" is actually spelt with 2 ls...OH THE IRONY. I'm not illiterate, I've got more Degrees than you've got GCSEs you child...I called you a cunt because that is precisely what you are. #

    Now fuck off.

  • @Tasbo1982

    rtfm

    nub

    Letts hear some fatttt basss

  • @Tasbo1982 I just checked out phillfenn's comments - I have to say, congratulations. I thought you might have been over reacting, before I read their comments. You handled them well.

Some people think there is no difference between a tutorial, and a walkthrough. It is also ironic, like you said, that someone who is software illiterate would say you are illiterate. I'm not experienced with music production software, and it's up to me to figure it out. There are plenty of walkthroughs on YouTube.

  • sick bass man, anychance u can send me some .wavs at 140bmp that i can resample, ive already followed one of your tutorials on massive and made it into a tune would love to mash up these sounds. peace

  • @Joshtheball Not sure what you mean. You want like a sample of these sounds? I would be happy to send you one, but I reckon you'd be better off getting reason 5 and downloading the freebie to be honest. Its hard for DAW users top make the transition, but think of reason as a set of awesome synths and awesome vsts- the quality of reasons effects is mindblowing compared to vsts - so if you are already into resampling you can bounce audio into reason and vice versa. Money well spent.

  • @Tasbo1982 Yeh man just any samples of those effects that i can have a play around with, we cud do like a colab tune? ive got reason 4 but like you said it's hard to get into reason as im used to DAW's like fruity and cubase. i do need to start using reason thru rewire at some point tho, or just simply for creating basslines.

  • @Joshtheball I recommend you just download the freebie then you can sample the sound yourself using something like audacity - but why bother sampling it if you've got the patch? - you can make your own sounds then if you want can resample them - much more creative that way... - and it should work absolutely fine in reason 4. I'd be up for a collab at some stage, very busy at the moment though. Yeah rewiring is fucking brilliant!

  • what is source 4 set to on the far left on the bottom of thor ? you didn;t talk at all about that mate, great vid tho

  • @KdNiNjA83 Thanks mate,

Its set to the mod wheel, which is modulating lfo 1 rate.

  • sick sounds dude.. you in reason 4.0.1 or 5?

  • @DjGounJa Thanks mate,

I'm using 5 but the patches should all work in any version that has Thor. Did you download the freebie?

  • @Tasbo1982 im in reason 4 right now, tryin to figure out how to set up this stuff :P new to reason.. you can set up templates right?

  • @DjGounJa Not really sure what you mean...can you elaborate?
