Jon is a smart singer now, he changes the way he sings to suit what his voice can only do. Your voice changes, sounds rougher and deepens with age which makes it hard to sing, unless you had a voice like MJ :)

As a singer myself I have to agree with OnlyLonely.There are songs from the beginning day of Bon Jovi that are amazing. Jon has a great voice to this day I look at his talent for my own singing. He sings with such passion that is hard to come by.
When your singing you loose yourself in the songs and some songs are very hard to sing, thats what makes them great, But its really takes it out of your voice, and your body.
As we get older as singers sometimes we just cant sing the same songs as we use to be able to. People with such great voices like Jon's its is very hard to keep your voice in top condition to be able to keep singing the same songs in 10 years.
jon actually messed up his vocal chords pretty bad in the late 80s performing on the slippery when wet and new jersey tours, lasting about 2 and a half years altogether. They kept pumping him full of steroids to keep him going, and since then he's sung in slightly lower keys to preserve his voice and stop it happening again.
Sometimes I think its probably best I wasn't conscious of my surroundings during the '80's. Lord knows, had I been around this hotness, I woulda been a groupie too.

I never heard this song before but I love it. I can understand why Bon Jovi would never sing it live though... They have far to many huge hits already on their plate. I love the wind in Jon's hair ha. I don't know where you got this but THANK YOU :)

And they didn't write this song. some guys from Tico's former band wrote it, I think. Jon hated playing this song but the record company made them. So after the conctract is expired, they never sung it again.
