agree with rasta, but players don't need to grunt - roddick hits his serve harder than anyone but doesn't - and ferrer hits like a pussy and grunts like he's giving maximum force
i agree. sharapova doesnt actually grunt in training, either does nadal... its beyond grunting though its really just yelling or screaming. grunting is natural and isnt that loud. i grunt sometimes but not very often, i dont believe its necessary and players should get warned about it if it becomes ridiculous because for some its a tatic to put off the other player. and do you ever notice how most of them do it when they starting to lose.
It just depend how you look at it. I've seen some game where he played very aggresive but not net wise. And I seen some game where you used the other person power espiecally on the return of serve. But it your opinion nothing wrong with it : )
Ferrers grunt creeps me out, it changes. starts off as a sort wheeze, then to a roar, then goes silent for a bit, and then starts wheezing again. great player tho :D
He is a great player for sure,he´s got 8 wins over roger, but certainly I agree with you, his potential to achieve greater thing´s in tennis is certainly something lacking..I suppose he must be aware of that.he certainly deserves to make a slam final..
Sure he does! And he lacks of many other things! The way I see it, there's no good french tennis player nowadays (ok, Tsonga reached the final of the australian open but I'm pretty sure we won't see him again...). Gasquet is world's number 9... I wonder how he did it! Everytime he plays a grand slam tournament he never makes it further than the 3rd round, he has the level on an irregular top 20 player, that's all.
nalbandian? he enever gives up , it´s just his concentration can go away at times in the match, then it comes back agian, it´s funny, but nalbandian is definitely a very good competitor..just not a consistent one, for the talent he has
imagine the combination of these 2 players...

Please, bring back the old attacking style like Rafter, Edberg, Sampras, Becker, Agassi, Goran, Henman, McEnroe,
David N. is really fun to watch. Just miss seeing old Pat Rafter and Stefan Edberg coming on those twist serves.

He seems like a counter puncher.
That makes you seem and play good when you play good hard hitting players..
datmevinh 2 years ago
Who are you calling a counter puncher? Nalbandian or Ferrer? I'm guessing Ferrer.
kinglear 2 years ago 2
I was talking about Nalbandian, but both pretty much are. : )
datmevinh 2 years ago
I don't think Nalbandian is a counterpuncher. I think he has an aggressive game just like Federer does.

@kinglear no doubt, he´s a shotmaker, like roger.

ferrer would be the counterpuncher.
