When I was living in Los Angeles I read somewhere that Tyrone's best friend paid for and made all the arrangements for his funeral expensise. Tyrone is buried next to a pond on Santa Monica Blvd.and his grave stone is a little bench to sit on. When asked why he choose such an odd idea his friend replied "i made it a bench so Tyrone would have people sitting on his face for all eternity". Funny story.
Best looking man in Hollywood. He has the looks and the talent. Much better than the male celebrities we see today. There is no comparison he is so classy.
@miltsar Alain Delon looked alot like Tyrone Power. I think they both were extremely good looking men. Although Alain Delon is still living. But I think Alain Delon would have been a perfect actor to portray the life of Tyrone Power.

He was rehearsing a sword fighting scene with George Sanders. They had been going at it for a while. Suddenly, he stopped, laid on the floor and died. His father, also an actor, died similarly many years earlier.
I always thought Tyrone Power was a vey good actor, but it seems that in real life he was very dissatisfied with his career and he thought he was a much better actor and deserved more demanding roles. He showed what he could do in the film "Nightmare Alley" but dying as he did at forty six, he didn't get the chance to "grow into" more character driven roles. Thans for posting ths great video and bringing back s many memories!

See him tomorrow 2-4 on TCM movie channel in the Eddy Duchin Story (1956) at 11:15 AM (ET). Playing Eddy was a great role for Tyrone. He once commented about how young Eddy was when he died, then died himself at the early age of 44 two years later in 1958. He was a very handsome man, real movie star looks.
Stunningly handsome actor, the male equivalent of Elizabeth Taylor and like her, a great actor as well!!!!
