I think people misunderstand what racism actually is. It's not what someone looks like, it's the cultural background associated with those races. In my experience it is far easier to ignore someone's ethnicity if they naturally act and speak the same way you do. I also believe that religion is the greatest defining characteristic in a culture (and that does include atheism) so really it's religion that is the root cause of racism!

As for sub-Saharan Africa, for the past 1-2 centuries, Europeans colonised and subjugated the majority of African populations, forced them to live in institutionally racist societies, did not allow them access to education, etc etc. These countries became independent mere decades ago, shit takes time.

Actually there were many ancient civilisations which were in Africa, such as the Egyptians, Nubians, Carthaginians, to name a few off the top of my head. And many areas of Europe, including Britain, Germany and scandinavia, were considered "uncivilised" until Roman invasion 2000 years ago. If the Romans decided to go further south instead of further north then roles might be reversed.

anyone who uses IQ results to insult, or promote anything, let alone a *race* is in need of a seriously better education! the IQ test only gives you results for the IQ test. That is to say, having a score on it doesn't represent intelligence, it represents your ability to score on that test. Which has no relation to real life. Africans have some of the most ancient cultures and civilisations on the planet, they lived with the world without conquering it like we westerners did... Much smarter.
