this is probably gonna sound offensive but... FUCK YOU! its people's rights to drink as much as they want. if someone gets into a car accident because they dank too much, they'll go to jail or at the very least, pay the damages plus a fine. Its not as detrimental as to stop society and certainly never will be so banning it or establishing parameters to prevent it are not really necessary.Drinking is a freedom that the US has deemed important throughout its entire existence.Thats my take anyways
I suffered through this for about 7 years tryign to mask my "issues" gave up drinking and wrote a song about my struggles with it titled "I'm Sorry" check it out on my page I"m sure a lot can relate :)
I would not worry much about binge drinking. It is the times I start drinking and wakup with a hangover 3 days later and wonder where the time went, and what I did :)
Oh my, it's the ultimate source of all evil... Come one, you demonize it too much and that's precisely why people won't take you seriously. And your "solutions" don't solve a damn thing.
I believe the strategies listed will not necessarily prevent people from binge drinking, it will simply make it mildly difficult. i know from experience that if a binge drinker wants alcohol he/she will get it at almost any cost. (my spouse is a recovering alcoholic/he was a binge drinker)
do these people need help (and what kind)? why are so many people binge drinking? the answers to these questions might provide for better strategies at preventing the negative effects of binge drinking.
Binge drinking is defined as "consumption that raises blood alcohol content to .08%" at :38 and then as "4 or more drinks per occasion for a woman 5 or more drinks per occasion for a man" at :54 Well which is it? Those aren't even CLOSE to the same definition! Then they throw around all these stats about binge drinking. Without even a consistent definition of what that IS! Loose stats and definitions (and nonsense video description) makes the CDC look bad.
Why do these people always intend to enforce the prohibition of substances that people willfully ingest?
