Excellent video Im about to start my webseries on youtube and I need informational videos to provide to my viewers do you mind if I use the link to this video in my videos?
Hey there!! would you check out my channel and video and give me some advice, i have a damo and im really trying to get out there and could use all the help (:
ATTENTION ALL ARTIST AND LABELS. IF YOUR HAVE A LARGE FOLLOWING AND NEED DISTRIBUTION....WE GOT IT MAJOR DISTRIBUTION WITH (INgrooves/Universal Music Group. OVER 300 ON LINE RETAILER..... contact us at: clizark1@gmail.com
What courses, outside of Contract Law, should I take prior to graduating from lawschool? I already have a network of talented musicians, film directors, and athletes at my disposal, but what I want to do is acquire the requisite knowledge and expertise to represent anyone in the Sports and Entertainment field. Please advise. Thank you!
Insightful vid. One thing I have noticed though is that many artists that start on relatively smaller labels almost always seem to switch to one of the big four (Universal, EMI, etc.) eventually. Could this be because major labels offer favorable deals to artists that have already become somewhat known while with smaller labels?
Some law schools will accept any major, however some are given first priority because they are known to prepare you with high quality writing and analyzing skills. Ie: English, History, Poly Sci, and I would say #1 Philosophy. Not saying comm majors are not qualified but your major is a reflection of how well equipped you are to handle the high academic expectations of law school.
im a soon to be college freshman you aspires to be an entertainment lawyer.. but im having a hard time determing what major i should choose.. i was wondering if u could give me some guidance.. please!!!.. lol.. i have spoken to many individuals in the music field and i have yet to recieve any helpful information
@prepgurlkrys I suggest you focus on courses that develop your writing skills and critical thinking because that is pretty much what law school is in a nutshell. Don't focus on the "entertainment" aspect...you have to become an attorney first.
ok we independent artist tryna get out there similar to u so im basicly saying help me help you and the reason why we made a label is because it has good promo and people are thirsty tryna get sighned. we not taken advantage of people nuthin like dat. MENTALITY RECORDS is basicly a group and soon to become a real label. u down?
how do i get a hold of you i am an up and coming artist and i am in need of an attorney you can hit me back here or you can email me at tunk4life@yahoo.com
(cont'd.) through shows like Big Time Rush, or the Jonas Brothers. This way, when a major record label offers a kid a deal, the kid will automatically take whatever the deal is without any thought, just because he was fed the idea that a major label is THE ONLY WAY. That's how the industry is still makin money. Yes, they're smart, but it's ruining mainstream music for all of us. (this is also why you only see KIDS on the radio and big stages these days) put it all together and it makes sense.
Do you know how easy it is to do everything by yourself??? i mean yea, you could always use a producer and engineer for your record's quality, but with the internet and other technologies these days, it's so EASY to record, mix, produce, and virally market your music. BUT... have you ever wondered why shows on Disney or Nickelodeon suck nowadays? it's because the industry has taken over the media, feeding false messages to children. messages saying "you can't be successful unless you're signed"
@dmartinez1982 CAN SOME ONE PLEASE DISCOVER ME!!! IM THE REAL DEAL!!! IM SICK AND TIRED OF WHACK ARTIST TODAY GETTING SIGNED!! IVE BEEN INSPIRED BY LEGENDS MARIAH, MICHAEL, USHER, XTINA,BRANDY, PPL THAT CAN SING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOME ONE PLEASE DISCOVER ME!!!!!
do you know how to solicit a demo? i have family in the business but i really don't want them to think im using them and i want to try to make it on my own but i have no idea how to get my demo solicited so the a/r's don't just throw it away ..do you know how it all works demo wise . the passions there but i still need the knowledge on how the biss works ..

Hey I like ur video but im not interested in getting a record deal im interested in getting a contract to an entertainment firm! how did u get started in it?
you read the contract, you have an entertainment attorney go through it with you, and I'd assume you either take it or dont and keep looking for the label that's right for you..
Enjoyed this tidbit. It seems that if you're a singer that doesn't write then a 360 might be more lucrative for you; but if you write and produce then you'd want to control more of your material from the source.
It's difficult to get seen in any case, but you have to decide where u wanna go and what you're willing to pay for it.
