It's taken from the documentary Petropolis. It is a good warning about what BP is likely to do to the gulf, but it's not honest to say it's the Gulf spill. Why do this? To promote the documentary? This environmental disaster could have been minimized were it not for obama's mishandling of the crisis. Having worked as a GGI artist throughout the 1990's, I find it quite easy to spot the "tells" that this is pure fakery. And not even good fakery.
I'm not saying the spill isn't totally horrifying. It is. It's an absolute travesty of the highest proportions and BP's assets should be confiscated by the gov't, just as in any major crime or terrorist act, such as this is, and the monies confiscated used to fund the direct and immediate cleanup.

@warezdog The first part of the video appears to be taken over land in Alberta Canada. Go to Hulu or type in Petropolis to a search engine and you can see the land part. The last part is taken in water, but it's from the 2009 documentary. The description is at best a half-truth.

Obama should've kept a closer eye on the situation and acted faster but really it came down to BP to fix the insane disaster they caused because of neglect on maintenance and safety testing of there facilities. Bush actually pushed and passed laws to relax regulations and encourage drilling that's the big difference.
