@mattshane in a way you're correct. Everything is God. God is, therefore the universe exists. All that exists is a continuum, from what we call God, the Original Consciousness, to the universe, you and me and all other varied forms of consciousness. We each represent in some way an aspect of God. It's like a candle flame. If you look at a flame closely, you can see the spectrum around it. God is like the flame, and we are like the broken spectrum of different wavelengths.
