I have to say I much prefer Robotech over Marcross, I really dislike how Marcross ride on the power of music to be the main theme over and over again. (One main reason why I hate Marcross 7)
Macross and Robotech are like filet mignon and hamburger steak. Hamburger steak may taste ok when you don't know anything, but when you start developing some taste why eat that when you can eat a filet mignon?
I gotta admit though, Robotech's theme song gives me flashback of me being 5 y/o, glued to the TV, fixated on the VF-1 Valkyries! But, after watching Macross and DYRL, I realize how much Robotech was garbage.
