@mpgomatic Thanks Dan! I was just wondering. My parents got a 2011 AWD Nissan Rogue. Even though it's sitting in our driveway every day, there aren't any decent reviews of one. Your reviews are awesome :)
Hey MPGomatic, you don't look and sound like a city guy, could not you find a better off-road trail than the one shown at 3:07? What is the point of having higher ground clearance and AWD? Even a Tercel can drive there. This video looks more like an ad, than a real review.
@LeadHammer Many thanks for the feedback ... point taken! :) We produce video reviews with a primary focus on fuel efficiency, not off-roading. It would be tons of fun to do in-depth off-road testing, but we just don't have the time or resources to do that well. Maybe one day ...
@DeadofWinter321 Why? by making god awful vehicles that only insane persons would buy or drive? Although there are some nice Infinites, and the fact that every Japanese car manufacturer is protected by Japanese government.
Pardon? Only you say insane people drive them. My Aunt owns her own beauty salon and drives a 2009 Nissan Rogue and people praise it all the time. Also, I don't give a rats ass if they're protected by Japanese government. They are better than GM and Chrysler. On par with Ford. But oh, Nissan's today are American made and Fords are mostly Mexican made... That last sentence from your comment tells me you're a stuck-up, patriotic American car fanboy.
@DeadofWinter321 My dad had a Nissan Primera once, cool car, a 98 model it was a very nice car indeed, but new Nissans are too ugly, even to be used for pope mobiles, their quality is crap much like other Japanese brands these days aswell. Now you could say styling is subjective, but it is fair to say that the Juke is just horrid. I mean it isn't hard to make a car that looks good.
@Theobieze True, with that gaping fish mouth grill it does remind me of the Fiesta quite a bit. I don't really like many Nissan's so maybe I'm biased, but this thing is just ugly.
Wow.. I didn't know Nissan had facelifted the Rogue. It looks nice but doesnt look like a Nissan. BTW I have to disagree with you. I drive a 07 Nissan Altima and I seriously do not think the CVT takes the fun out of driving. If anything, it just gives u better MPG! seriously, all that is different is the sound because you dont hear the gears changing. The car is still fast and smooth, so people should really stop saying CVT's are boring.
@KoolCordell Uhm dude they dont. It just feels like a very smooth auto except u dont get the sound of gears changing and the brief power loss that that means. And if people dont like them can you explain why there are so many cars out there with CVT's??
@datpimpinboy sorry i ment enthusiasts not normal ppl normal ppl care about one thing cost to run thus cvt's help cars sell by giving great highway mpg's.
@NoxNoctisUmbra Yep! I mean, if you are gonna get an automatic you might as well get a CVT and get better MPG all together. If you are an enthusiast, or care so much about sportiness, well get a manual transmission!
@sexyboi142 Whether CVTs are in every car or not doesnt make it true or false. Plus, CVTs are new, and Nissan and Mitsubishi as well as a few others are starting to use mostly CVTs.
@datpimpinboy CVTs are not that new. They have been around since the late 80s, early 90s and they are STILL horrible transmissions. They are plauged with problems. People perfer manual transmissions and 6 speed autos to CVT transmissions. Ppl complained to dodge/chrysler about the Avenger's CVT. When it got refreshed last year they dropped the CVT for a 6 speed auto. And they say CVTs help feul economy..sure, thats why the Chevy cruze uses a 6 speed auto and get 40mpg
I never had even heard about this car before you showed it on here, and I can't say I've seen it here in Japan. I looks like a ford fusion. What does this car start at?
Pretty cheap car to me compared to its competitors. And I never see the krome version, I know this because when I saw the beginning of the video I didn't recognize it for a few seconds. I thought it got a refresh without me knowing, ha.
There's no way my mom can get 29.5 mpg on the highway, she has a lead foot!

Dan, you think you could try to do a new 2011 model? Since the 2011 models have more trim levels and options? Thanks! :)

@hehh543 The 2012 is a possibility, when winter rolls around. The model year flies by too quickly ...

They won't go bankrupt anytime soon if that's what you're really hoping. Nissan is doing too well.
