1) Do you necesarily have to use hairspray, if, as you said the one you used was not mainly about hold. can you substitute with moose?

2) what if you have a front fringe? does it work the same way. and can you do the tease thing all the way around the head, and leave out those little side bit thats you cover?

2) If that is your goal it would be more like a "feux-hawk" look instead of the hive.
