Been listening to Chris LeDoux songs since I was a little kid. My dad being a cowboy, played Chris LeDoux and Bob Wills as far back as I can remember. Some of the best years I can remember with my dad.
I don't know if it's true. But my Uncle knew Chris personally. Overall he was a great man. Owned a ranch in Wyoming, my home state :) God bless Chris Ledoux , country music, wild spirits, and the land they live on!
well i grew up a cowboy. worked on many ranches.. i use to rodeo for a while... spent many nights going down the lonely road with chris ledoux.. my uncle won the world in 95... i meet chris in 1996 a hell of a man... god bless you chris... i use to ride broncs 1989 to 1996
Chris Ledoux... To me, an immigrant to this country, Chris Ledoux epitomized the American spirit.
Rugged, Beautiful, modest, good-hearted, bigger than life, kind, adventurous, polymorphic, courageous and gracious.
I still mourn him all these years after his passing. I think America lost a little bit of soul with Chris' passing, but thankfully his music remains to remind us to walk a little bit straighter, to smile a little bit brighter, and to try a little bit harder.
great vid great song i listen to it all the time they play it at rodeo i play it in the truck shark needs to see this and then they will understand rodeo
No words can be typed in this box that would even come close to doing justice to Chris LeDoux, but I will say thanks for influencing my life with such a powerful force.
If a man is going to give a part of his liver to save a great man like Chris....well I have to have respect for Garth. I don't like his singing, but I have to like his loyalty to a friend!!!!
2 years after I quit the ranch I got another fever again, I quit my job, sold everything that wouldn't fit in a 10x10 storage unit, bought a new dodge Cummings, goose neck horse trailer, loaded up my 2 horses and hit the road for 6 months. when it got to hot in AZ&NM I went to ID&MT. In MT I got a job with a outfitter and lived in the Bob Marshall wilderness for 3 months and I learned about Mules and packing. The only thing that stays the same is change !!!
I always wanted to be a Cowboy. I bought my first horse from a ranch in NV. He was a bronc. The young cowboy who sold him to me said " You better keep him here so I can show you how to put the saddle on. I said good. That horse buck me off every time I got on his back. Within 3 months of never giving up or not knowing better I learned to ride saddle bronc! Make a long story short I ended up going to work for the ranch making a living on horse back for three years. The best of my life at age 40.
He's my favorite country stare and let him rest in peace. He rode bareback broncs and played country music, the he died, way too young, of liver cancer. I hope he had a good life, and rests in peace!
I was lucky enough to meet this gentleman a few years ago when I booked his concert for the club I worked for. I was never a great fan until I met him. He was absolutely the nicest country star I ever met and it was an honor to meet him. One of the band members was a little obnoxious and Chris put him in his place real quick and made him apologize. I've been a fan ever since. I got my picture made with him, which he autographed, and it's kept hanging on my wall. What a gentle-man!
I always wanted to tell him how much his music effected me and my life.....I forever love his music and hope to someday shake his hand in heaven and say thank you for your impact on my life...
damn I miss the days when I was able to ride the rodeo circut this song is so true its still how I feel I miss rideing the bulls and bronks what a life God bless Chris Ladoux Rest in peace you are trully missed

Not may singers sing their life. This song is what Chris was and will always be remebered for. My biggest hero not because of riding horses or bulls but just being all he could be and telling the world about it. He belongs in the country music hall of fame.
God Bless You Chris Ledoux!
