  • i just made a duck tape wallet with a thin sheet of aluminum made into it

  • Strange... the same technology hobos use to protect their brains from government brain scans works as an RFID protector...

  • after i watched this, i bought a Mighty Wallet, just got off amazon :)

  • This is a wallet? Just seems like a well folded piece of paper.

  • @ReepsOneLondon it's a super compact wallet made of a material called tyvek, and it is essentiall tear and water proof

  • @ReepsOneLondon google dynomighty

  • I love ur videos but one question how can tin foil be used for an RFID blocker

  • @BRAVEKangroo by creating what is called a faraday cage. its the same reason why carnival lighting tricks like driving a motorcycle in a steel ball cage dont get struck.

  • knowing me, this would take me forever just so i could get it perfect...

  • I just got my mighty wallet yesterday and im a big fan but how do you keep the flaps from sticking out?

  • Just RFID proofed my Mighty Wallet. Thanks for the (How to) Easy to do.

  • The technology that protects these cards is super sophisticated and even if people can lift your credit card numbers there is very little anyone can do with the numbers. The AVS system protects cards from being used to buy and send goods to another address than that of the card owner. Every time you use your RFID card a unique digital key is created in the host bank and copied to the card. For every transaction the bank verifies the key. Some serious hackers have tried to break this can can't.

  • @tkelleman youtube.com/watch?v=vmajlKJlT3U

The card's information such as name, CC number, expiration date is unencrypted...

As you can see from the video, the 'sophisticated' protections is BS.

Also, here is an interview by Adam Savage with regards to why RFID myths were never done mythbusters youtube.com/watch?v=X034R3yzDhw

Answer: because it's not protected and the CC companies will sue if you disclose the truths of the vulnerabilities.

  • @tkelleman

If you believe they are hack proof then you need to look up "Mythbusters banned from talking about RFID" He couldn't go into great detail, but was saying how hackable these cards were and they was gonna air the show, but credit card companies were all over it and Discovery backed down and did not air it. Remember this If man made it man can break it. For instance look at Satellite encryption. Nothing is hack proof NOTHING

  • 2:54 Why would they do it in the first place if they don't know how t use it?

  • lol does this mean you can steal things and put them in the wallet and not set off alarms? ;D

  • cool, cause i have card that have that tap and go crap on it.

  • Awesome!

  • wtf is "RFID PROOF"

  • @MyNameIsZura RFID is a way to steal credit card information

  • @MyNameIsZura Yeah - MyNameIsZura got it right and a lot of people are concerned about this new feature in many cards but its not as prevalent in the US as in the UK.

  • @tkelleman you didnt even answer his question.

  • @tkelleman I just looked up what RFID is and I'm not really fully understanding how someone can "steal your information" through this process. According to what I read, RFIDs can be extremely small pet identification devices to simple toll-automated paying pass thingies. Could you please explain how someone might use this to steal other's information?

PS-- Thought of mine off to the side. Are you saying that people can steal the magnetic data from a credit card using RFID data "transferring"?

  • @MyNameIsZura @lolzalot666 RFID means Radio-frequency identification. People can steal your credit card information by carrying around a machine that reads the magnetic strip on cards (Credit, Debit, Gift, etc.)

  • nope

  • FIRST

  • dynomighty is so amazing. period
