To Charaht, Thai government had pushed Khmers back around 1979, 1981. There were hundreds of buses full of Khmer people dumped at the Phnom Dongrek mountain where they stepped on landmines, faced robbery, shot and raped by Thai soldiers. Without the UN intervention Thailand did not want to help Khmers. I was a child refugee at that time.
