I'm not a mechanic, myself, but I am a motorcycle enthusiast with concern for the environment - ATWA. I'm just wonering what kind of changes need to be done to a standard engine to get it "up and running" as a (functional) biodiesel? Can, say, an older HD panhead be transformed like this? Or is it a whole new motor that is required? A lot more people are thinking about treading lightly on the Earth, so these questions will become increasingly valid. F. ex., lots of vegans building choppers now.
The motor we are using in this bike is a 2 cyl 20hp Diesel motor from a small generator. Because of the compression pressures needed for ignition in a diesel engine, you can't simply modify a gasoline engine to run on diesel.
