Ho sentito dire da alcuni che Prey non potè affrontare Verdi per limiti vocali ben precisi...basta solo mezzo minuto di questo video per smentirli!

Veramente? Non ho mai sentito o letto qualcosa di simile. In un altro video canta un'aria di Don Carlo (La morte di Posa)e mi sembra buono anche li.

Dear Herur22 - please note a little mistake you´ve made :-)) It was not Sena Jurinac in the recording with Gedda, it was Grace Bumbry.

Prey recorded excerpts of this opera with Jurinac and Gedda (while Gedda recorded the same opera with Prey and Bumbry). I wouldn't know that, but I saw it in the video. There Prey presents excerpts of his various operas - like excerpts from La forza (including Jurinac singing Pace, pace mio dio, which is also here at Your Tube), Eugen Onegin and from Don Carlo. At the beginning he shows the LPs with titles and names, serving as music background.
