I'm considering buying a psp for gaming emulation as I'm sick of the cheap chinese clones, can anyone recommend which psp would be best for running emulation?

This by far is the best snes smulator for the psp i was wondering if these guys made one for the NES??? all the other NES emulators I find for the psp do not support save states or even all the funtions that snes 9x does
@RickReidProductions Try NesterJ. I've tested that emulator and it supports quick states (You press R+Start to quick save, but you can make it any combination you want). It supports many other features, it's a great emulator. Reply for more info.
@pokeplay7 I think Nester J has nothing in comparison to this SNES emulator. I think the guys who made this emu did a great job and wish they would make one for the NES with all the options of the SNES one.
@RickReidProductions search for nesterj 1.11. i have this, and it works very well. there are no flaws (except buble bobble 1 does not work at all, but who cares for that game anyway?) it has save states, you can take screenshots, and so forth! it is a very good emulator, in other words. it even tells you your battery life on your psp! pretty cool, huh? i can't remember where i got it though.

@Tempestes So sorry I took this long to answer you, but I wasn't really sure... the last one I've heard about is Snes9x Euphoria R4. It's an alternative build, since the original developer sort of quit, but it's the latest one (almost sure)! :D
@antonioo498 I don't have my PSP with me right now, I'll have to try it out and see (I've never tried that game before)... have you tried a different ROM? Sometimes that'll solve it. ^^
@ShadowSe3ker397 Hey! Well, I'm really not sure if there's any way to get homebrew softwares on a PSP on FW 6.20. Since mine's in 5.03, there's a custom FW which enables you to install those softwares. I know some Devs are working on newer Firmwares, such as yours, but I haven't been up to date as to how it's coming out.

I don't know many psx games... you have to do some converting to the game images to play on psp, but I don't know much about it. Try googling about it, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
i just did a research, people have said that, using a PSP 2000 is better then 3000 for homebrew games, one person said,,, using CFW on a 3000 involves running 2 separate programs every time you turn it on. With a 2000, install it once and it's good forever.... is this true? do you have to do that every time with your PSP 3000 ??????
You do have to run ChickHEN and then the homebrew to enable ISOs every time you turn off the system, but you don't ever have to turn it off, you can just set it to sleep (that's what I do). Eventually you'll accidentally turn it off, or change batteries, or something, but it isn't that bad... the good thing about it is, when you do, your PSP is brand new, so you don't lose warranty or anything. ^^
BTW, isnt ZSNES emulator the best SNES emulator out there, do you have the snes9x bcuz its meant for the PSP or can i have different emulators, each emulator has its own advantages.
Yes, ZSNES is one of the best there is (in my opinion, at least), but for computer. On PSP you have to use an emulator that's properly made for the device, and not the kind you install on your computer. The ROMs are the same as you use on the computer. For PSP, the SNES9X TYL is the best one.
WOW 5 Stars, my goal right now is to have my PSP EXACTLY like yours, with all the great emulator stuff and games that u have, im scared if i pay a store to do it for me(hacking, emulations and stuff) it might not look so fancy like yours. wow your lucky.
Well, I haven't played SNES as much, I mainly play PSP games, so I can't really be sure. I have played some games, and they never froze! From what I've experienced, it's a great emulator. :)
Hi, sorry for taking so long. Do you have it unlocked? You have to download Snes9xTYL, which is a SNES emulator for PSP, and download SNES ROMs. Put them in the right place (PSP/Game) and that's it! :)
Hey, sorry I took so long to answer... I hope by now you have already figured it out, but if not, when you're in a game, press the "Home" button - which will open the emulator settings menu. Move sideways until you find the Video settings. Select "Video mode" and set it to fullscreen. That's it! :) If you need anything else, let me know!
Ok some one please help me i got chichen r2 and cfw 5; 03 and i downloaded emulator and rom now when i put it inside my game folder it says corrupted file and yes i did use winrar to extracr please help
I'm sorry I took so long to answer, I hope you've solved your problem by now! If not, can you open the Emulator itself and the ROMs are corrupted, or does it say corrupted when you try to open the emulator?
Which PSP do you own? Do you use the same emulator I use (SNES9X TYL)? Do you have the latest version? If you do, try downloading another DK Country ROM, from a different source... other than that, I don't know. I haven't even tweaked any settings.

@9608699 Super Metroid works perfectly for me, you probably need to mess with the settings. Change the Frame skip, make sure you at 333 Mhz

Well, I haven't played SNES as much, I mainly play PSP games, so I can't really be sure. I have played some games, and they never froze! From what I've experienced, it's a great emulator. :)

Ok good! It's fine if it freezes on a game like Castlevania, but if it froze in the middle of Earthbound I'd be mad. I'll try it out!
