  • pepys1633 the same in your country and in other nations hahahaha, the crimes is high in many places around the world

  • enjoy life that philosphy what you have is quite important. because life is short and the best richness what you can take with you is to have lived. well done good mentality

  • You british are said to let your island being invaded. What is sure is that there's nothing more unable than you to speak properly another language than yours, which does not prevent you from arriving massively in european countries. Many local people are not sure at all to appreciate. Where you are, anything is more expensive.

  • we don't need more people thanks

  • I lived in Spain for 3 years but I had to go back so im ready for my gcse's.

  • Spain had been a paradise before 2001, 9 years of massive ilegal inmigration destroy our land.

  • @svidding

Well..after living 5 years in Spain I think that it's a shithole. Definitely there is something "magical" about Spain.... it make you hate the place so much so quick than it must to be "magic".

  • Now we have problems with islamic inmigrants, but well...

  • I wish live in Spain were connected to quality of life, polite people, many work, good politicians... not to "fiesta", music, beach and alcohol.

  • I understand your position, but Spain is not that you are talking about.

  • Hi Steve, I must be great to move to Albox, but why do Spainish people assisted with ex pats take your money and lie through there teeth.

    ????????????????????????????????

  • Hi Jim, still no joy with JF? You know I left there don't you? I understand why you are pissed off. I can't talk for anyone else but I certainly never lied or assisted in any lying to you. I do remember whilst I was there recieving hoax calls and emails claiming to be a buyer and then it turned out to be you..... so, maybe it is just a thing we British do? I know JF made some promises to you that he was later unable to keep. Just keep on at him.

  • Check with your lawyer where you stand and if you have grounds to take him to court then do it. If your lawyer says that you comitted to buy and you want to pull out... that is a different thing, in that case you will have to be patient and hope that he gives you your money. Good luck.

  • Sorry for triple posting. My grandmother has lots of family in Almeira.

    Beautiful place.

  • As a Spanish person (who doesn't live in Spain mind you) I would encourage British looking to take a holiday to go to the southeast coast and the south coast. British tourists are very highly regarded in Spain because they're considered to have much more proper manners than tourists from most places. No need to try to speak spanish. Spanish consider it offensive. Dunno why. Everybody understands some english there and many signs at supermarkets, and restaurant menus, include english.

  • British think Spain is a tropical country or what? nah, really, soon there'll be more British than Spanish lol

Actually Spain has more stuff to offer aprt from sun in the Mediterranean (I hate massive tourism by the way)

I'm proud to live in a city in the North were it's raining all the time and where you'll find tourists who want to find out about the history of the city, instead of sunbathing till they get cancer in a beach where you can't move without hitting someone

  • hi steve, nice to see you in here ... and you are right it´s good to be out of the rain ... c u

  • Spain ROCKS!

  • If you have a new property built there is a company that will employ you as part of the work force to build it... So you get a job for a year. Your wage is effectively money knocked of the price of the home... So your family has social security cover. When you finished building you have effective had an apprenticeship. Your heart and soul is embedded in the property... and yes... the glorious sun is shinning... almost all year round!!! Uk will continue to get worse... Spain has levelled out.

  • @DJSteevSpain who would say today, with 4 million unemployed in just 3 years: (

this video is ridiculous in this day, I'm Spanish

  • Ok, so it's now nearly a year later and is it still worth moving to Spain with kids?

Things have changed, the recession in Spain along with the UK, the poor exchange rate from Pounds to Euro's. There is the hype regarding UK gun, and knife crime (Glasgow has had knife crime for decades so nothing new!)

With the rising cost of fuel it is a matter of time before airlines raise the prices.

Still, there is the sunshine, and after the poorest, wettest UK summers I've known, that can't be bad!!!

  • hi i am norwegian and 18 years old and im dreaming about moving to spain do you think could have a chance getting a job and property down there at my young age. i just cant wait anymore ive dreamed about this since i was a little kid.

  • crime in Spain has doubled in recent years, racism and xenophobia is rife in the big cities. All in all Spain is a wonderful country with genuine, hospitable and friendly people.

  • You know you are right but at least the government are over there actually do something. Here it is a waste of time and totally useless. I'm sorry but I really hate the fact that British people are starting to ruin Spain it is not the Spanish and I hope they start being a little more selective when it comes to letting some English people in.

  • Racism is usually centered toward Latin Americans.

  • and how do you know racism is centered towards latin americans?

  • what is the cost of living in spain because when i move i will be going for good

  • nice video do a video of what kind of jobs is there!

  • There is not a lot of work at the moment in the construction or property market, however depending on what type of work you are looking for there is always something going.

  • nice vid steve.I came back to t England 4 years ago but goback to benidorm tokeep myself in touch as Im going back asap. within 3 weeks of being back we had our van nicked /goods stolen and the van torched.the plice made me pay tohave it towed away 120 quid gave me a crime number and that was that!we had 2 new mountain bikes nicked yesterdaywe dont go out incase we get done over and a chinese restaurant costs 30 quid a head. cantwaitto get back keep the vids rolling! thx

  • Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Its not just the robbers under cover of night... its the daylight robber of the government, the bbc etc. Taxes, taxes, and more taxes.

Things aren't as bad here as its made out in the UK media, especially the lying BBC. They are just scared of losing all the licience money... and then they rob the Blue Peter kids too!

20 quid is a great night out here... including all the drinks! No TV licience. Fuel almost half the price. No council tax... And its sunny!

  • Will do

  • Nice video, I know what you mean about the uk at present and I know what you mean about Spain. I spent the last five years going back and forward to the bassque country. I had chance to get out there and live with my girl but never went. Instead I decided to follow my career!!! From this I have learnt that I will still get to Spain one day. Glad you are enjoying it...

  • Never too late to go for it.... Its great here.

  • I have been wanting to move there for a while now :) Thanks for making my decision an easier one...what city do you recommend?

  • What are you looking for?

What is your age? family situation? Are you looking to work if so at what? What do you do now (if that is relevant?)

Madrid is buzzing, Almeria is nice all year round. Don't recommend Alicante of Malaga Marbella. I live in Albox - its great!

  • Well, I'm 28...Have 2 kids....I do Public Relations here in Los Angeles....I would love to do something like that over there. I speak Spanish Fluently...So thats a plus!!! But I have been wanting to live there for a while now..have lots of friends there.....In Madrid and Barcelona. I never heard of Albox...I'll check it out...

    Thanks for responding!

  • We could do with some Americans here in Albox to help us with the coming challenges...

  • Beginning was good, but then you started talking way too long.

  • Good point... I'll make them shorter. There is a shorter version on the "reasonstomovetospain" channel. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Are well.... not so bad.
