  • brill love this song

  • fab

  • Love haha

  • Thanks for playing at the Queens in Cleveleys back in the day when fun was fun!

  • I so love this, I was a little girl when this came out and still love it today.

  • brilliant

  • In 1997 I was on holiday with my parents in Devon and saw these guys performing. They did a spoof of queen's 'Killer Queen' about Camilla Parker Bowles called 'Will Camilla be Queen' ('face just like a runner bean'). The lyrics were all about her relationship with Charles and how things had gone wrong with Diana. A couple of days later of course, Diana was dead, and I thought back to that and found it really spooky.

  • @Bizarronumber4

    . . . "and now 'C' block as well" (block 'C' in the Prison, I think !)

I hadn't heard this for years and I can still sing almost every word - love it !

  • @KAF128 Thanks!

  • I really love the 'Rivers of Babylon' and 'Smurf Song' parodies. What's that line at the end? It sounds like 'and a Nazi block as well'!

  • ive been looking for this song on here for years Thnx for the upload

  • Had this on a BBC childrens compilation album (cassette) when I was a kid, lost the tape and have been singing it from memory ever since. Thank god I found it now I can get an MP3 :)

    TY for posting. :)

  • I saw them in company with a girl who didn't give a hint of a smile the whole act ? Given that I proposed to her when I was 6 yrs old it just goes to show that sometime waiting is of benefit - lol - ;-)

  • Cheers hugely for uploading this, it really takes me back to a time when things were just more fun, less commercial and people who could entertain a live audience.

  • @lostthe80s :)

  • @lostthe80s

Could someone please explain why this is blocked in Germany?

  • hahaha

  • The fact that this was a big hit shows the mentality of most of the British

  • @TheKenfig Why are you listening to it then,Dickhead....

  • @TheKenfig FUCK YOU

  • @FourJamLions Mmm, as I said

  • @TheKenfig as you said what ?? . You have a sweeping generalisation & that makes it true you racist Fuck Hammer

  • @FourJamLions Mmm, just as I first said. And what makes me 'racist' ?, Lol

  • @TheKenfig go fuck yer nan ya fuck tard

  • @FourJamLions see ? what did I tell you ?

  • @TheKenfig your mum tells me she's that tight because your head was so small.

  • @Dave83C Is THAT what you're saying ? ; is it Dave ? ; is it ?. THAT'S clever isn't Dave ?

  • @TheKenfig - If you know the originals which they parody in each case, they are quite cleverly done, but I admint it may sound weird if you are not familiar with the original works, e.g. Boney M, Brian and Michael and the Smurfs (or else you just might not understand . . .).

  • @KAF128 Well I know all of them, but I just don't think the parodies are funny that's all. If people like simple humour like Russ Abbott etc., then it's up to them isn't it ?

  • @TheKenfig Oh, OK. I didn't think you understood the parody. Fair enough. We'll have to disagree on how similar they were to Russ Abbott (I don't like him much either) ! I thought the way they got close to the wording of the orginals was quite clever, but . . . in that case I understand why you don't like it.

  • @KAF128 Well I just jumble them together from what I know of them. I dont know to what extent they're similar but I meant that kind of childish unsophisticated humour. Not that I'm a humour snob either ; I like a mixture of humour including Laurel & Hardy and Morcambe & Wise. I think JUST intellectual humour on it's own without slapstick gets a bit too heavy. That's why in MOVIES the brilliant Peter Cook got a bit bogged down after a while with BEDAZZLED for a LONG movie, but Python mix it right

  • @TheKenfig you're right about their kinda lack of variation, I grant you. Most of their later material is along siilar lines, but I think they were a "straight" singing group in the early years. I agree with you on L&H and M&W and Monty P, and I think Pete did run out of steam, but a lot of them do, e.g. Ronnie Corbett. Seems we're not so far apart !

  • @KAF128 I think that Cook, possibly the most naturally funny person without having to work that hard for it, along with the likes of Milligan and another one of my favourites, Viv Stanshall, WAS at his peak of creativity during the 60s when they made Bedazzled movie, but I think the script got a bit repetitve after a while for a long film, although it looks superb and IS funny. But then there are a few things which go over many's head in the script whereas Python has that but also pratfalls

  • @ollie501 maybe cos the germans wouldnt get it , as they have no sense of humour ? :D

  • I remeber this song well, always remember the scene on Top of the Pops (or was it Crackerjack?) in the dentists chairs where they spat in the dentists face!

  • lmao i just had my boy hide behind behind a fence and when i found him he said "damit" to which i replied a mild cigar found under benches and hedges lol, he said what? i explained about the baron nights then sung the matchstick and smurfs songs to them i remebered from when i was a child over 30 odd years ago, yes i even had the lp lol how great it was to find this and play the real song to them and see them in laughing fits.
