  • Thanks for this... What is the benefit of using the 3 Multibands versus 3 EQ3's, clicking away the Low/Mid/Highs?

  • thanks :)

  • Really useful! thanks :D

  • Wow. I feel like I've learned more functional knowledge in this one video than I have in every other ableton video I've ever seen. I'm just about sold!

  • Is there a reason you use the multiband dynamics effect as opposed to simply an eq3?

  • @djstory Yes :-), the cross over points are already set up very nicely in the multiband dynamics and also the EQ3 heavily colours the sound and this is not always desirable.

  • @QuantizeCourses Thanks! The crossover points can be moved in EQ3 easily as well, right? What would be the colorization like with the EQ3's?

  • thx a lot for the tut...

  • @QuantizeCourses thanks keith i got it after all just a little delayed, all good :) also delayed in my reply but thanks for your speedy one :):)

  • @QuantizeCourses Can you explain the difference between the different compression models. I never understood the reason to change between them and i was hoping you would explain why you changed from ff2 to ff1 on the compressor

  • @nick20200 Hi Nick, I changed to FF1 because the compressor reacts without clicks and pops (usually!!) when setting very fast attack and release times. This is ideal for side chain compression when ducking a sound to make way for the kick to reduce the conflict in frequencies.

  • very helpful

  • Amazing!! omg!
