I know about Zheng he. The Chinese didn't rule the sea they traversed it. They didn't try to rule the seas. The Chinese used huge 300 foot boats and only travel around Asia and Africa. The Europeon's on the other hand traveled around the world in 60-80 foot boats and circumnavigated the most dangerous seas in the world like the drake passage.
You can display pride without trying to diminish others accomplishments.

China's Armada makes the Spanish and English navy look like peek squeaks and far more advance !
