  • wtf, this isnt K - swift

  • MC K_SWIFT IS OFF THE HOOK...

  • I'm confuse by your state of mind...what are you thinking...

by the way he is on point..

  • 5 Stars.

  • isn't K-swift one of the rappers in the alkaholiks crew?

  • Ok seriously... I mean no disrespect by this, this is a simple observation (I'm sure it won't be perceived as such, though)... African-American Poets REALLY need to find a NEW way to present their poems. I'm tired of hearing the exact same tone, tempo, and beat for EVERY poem... Seriously.

  • maybe you should expand your exposure to black poets

  • I've watched well over enough in my lifetime, I used to be a huge poetry fan. And I'm sorry to say, but every time I see a black poet, it's the same style. It's a sort of... Slowed-down, sub-rap... And I'm just tired of it.

    Deal with it.

  • I saw this rapper's OTHER video where he was rappin' fo' McCain and "reasons to vote for McCain". He didn't go by K-swift in that video, instead he was MC BUTTPLUG.

  • ^^^^^^

Free Youtube Templates at my chanell.

  • I just created an account with youtube today because I really enjoyed watching your spoken word video. I've been to a few poetry slams in Toronto, so I have others to compare to. Not only are you cute, your words are meaningful and you know how to put on a performance. Keep it up. I'd appreciate some more original spoken word postings on youtube. Also, if you're ever in Toronto, let us know!

  • crazy how ppl cant appreciate free real spoken word but will drop a buck fifty to listen to fake ass rappers talk about money bitches and gettin silly lol

  • A negga with words is just a negga talking! Look at the white folks pass him straight like he ain't even there. Give'em a mic and a beat or shut up.

  • Word homie! we'z just good for entertaining...

Oh and sucking up tax "dolla'z".

  • Freaing awesome

  • U don't know real hip hop if u dont see the talent in this Cat

  • that was helly cool but i can rap more good than that. it was a hot joint though, holla

  • wats good my dude, thats was a Hot joint..holla at your boy Raks...

  • Im sorry that this comment box is full of just bullshit. Its the message that is what matters. close your mouth and open your mind.

  • Its SPOKEN WORD, not rap. Look it up, and listen to content.

  • i can rap mor beter then that is

  • yeah yeah single white female

  • 'bout time we resumed droppin' knowledge.

  • BAHAHAHAHA this guy BLOWS.

He ha time to write this rhyme (not even freestyle) and THIS is the BEST he could do? Sounds like a mentally challenged kid having a spitting fit.

  • shit!

  • that was good...

  • he should change his name. k-swift is already taken.

  • he should lighten up a bit. Why ain't hip hop fun anymore eh? JedSaint, there's some good hiphop out there but agreed most of is muck and its mostly muck thats featured here.

Check out Ugly Duckling or Jurassic 5.

    Good hiphop

  • Linkin Park are good...

Rap/Rock is great. I have no problem with hiphop fans but I do have a problem with crap like this being featured on youtube :-S

  • Is it possible that the first two lines are from something else? Or at least that I've heard them somewhere other than in this youtube video?

  • Don't talk shit about something you know nothing about. Mainstream rap has gone to hell but the underground is better than ever. P.S. slipknot sucks.

  • hey

  • you suck.

  • listen to his lyrics they are very deep and pwerful. there IS other rap besides 50 and weezy i hope u know

  • strong message

  • that was good

  • well :)

  • weelll

  • freewebs.c0m/traviss30

  • That shit was DOPE!!! your lyrics are mad deep man and u got a good flow keep that up. 95% of people here dont know what real hiphop is but that was it

  • That wasn't Hip Hop, it was spoken word. It was heavy though.

  • Spoken Word poetry is apart of hip hop...

  • That's news to me.

  • The poetry of hip hop is 'rap', a complex lyrical delivery of clever, playful and allusive rhymes in sophisticated rhythms. It's just a difference in style, but that's where "rapping" evolved from... Rappers follow the same rhyming pattern that most poets follow. It's all good though, fam... Peace

  • Yes RAP is an element of Hip Hop, not poetry. I think if the guy didn't look so 'Hip Hop' and his name wasn't 'MC K-Swift', you would think differently.

  • hiphop is a culture...a lifestyle. besides its elements, it also consists of the way u have yourself perceived: how u dress, talk, act, etc.

  • What does that have to do with anything?

  • it has a lot to do with everything. all im saying its thats how i personally perceive it...

its not really exaplainable beyond what i said its just what i think. spoken word CAN belong in the culture depending on the person who delivers it (like their intentions). i have no idea what his are...as i said its just my opinion. im not saying you're definitely wrong lol.

  • Exactly. Rap is closely related to the Sonnet. But it's musical, while Sonnets are rhythmical due to iambic pentameter.

  • yo marklo I dont know if you know this but 99% of your favorite artists(probably lil wayne)there freestyles are pre written or at least pre thought out, shut yor mouth this guy might not be great but at least he givin it a shot support all hip hop

  • assholes all around!

  • what an asshole!

  • yeah, it was hip... what are you trying to say?

  • if that was a freestyle then chill if it was pre written thenits pretty lame

  • asshole don't get me started fuck off and take your whore with you

  • Truth be told if lyrics sold you would be as rich and famous as Jay Z. For more conscious hip hop check my page.

  • If lytics sold truth be told you would be as rich and famoud as Jay Z

  • i seen this dude live.. he was better live.. im not the one to digg rap.. but it was pretty hip

  • Funny thing is, he IS from BK. However, at first I was upset about the stupid comments. Then I realized, stupid comments come from stupid people. The man is dope, point blank. How many people can relate with these words, vs. "I got 20 cars worth $1 million bucks, diamonds, houses, yeaahhhh." Seriously people.

  • Why compare? The two styles you are comparing are totally different things.

  • you are a moron. the K-Swift who passed away was DJ K-Swift...NOT MC K-Swift. And if I remember correctly she was a local legend in the Baltimore area. Its very likely to have a similar name if you're not known world-wide.

  • fag

  • idk what you guys are talking about that was mad good

he actually rapped about legitimate stuff and made good points

sorry that you guys don't like rappers to make rational thoughts

  • yep he was awsome. very legit to my point of view. very good points too. problem is theres just too many dumb people out there who don't like good rappers like him.
