  • Good ol Ritchie Valens

  • Good song!!!!!!

  • Great take! Would be better (in my opinion) if the falsetto were mixed a little farther back. But still nice!

  • All of Dion & The Belmonts songs were beautifully sung.

  • @frankiebear7 No Dion on this record, but yes, beautifully sung. I agree with you.

  • I guess you took this right from the original 45? Seems to sound better than the reissue. Too bad it wasn't played at the time to become a hit. I agree it's the best,

  • I love the Belmonts and Dion in all their combinations, but this arrangement is so close to That's My Desire that it comes across as an almost desperate attempt to sound like Dion hadn't left the group. Do you have a recording date for this song?

  • whos is the original The Belmonts or Ritchie Valens?

  • @SupraStringing11b Valens is the original between the two groups. He passed on b4 the belmonts song this in the early 60's!

  • @fitycent93 i knew it!

  • @SupraStringing11b Robert & Johnny did the original.

  • big belmonts fan and dion also but never heard this this is great thanks for posting rod

  • I like "The Epics" version better myself.....

  • I used to have this 45 RPM. Such a Long Way was on the other side. It was the Belmonts' first release after Dion left.

  • I listened to this song after a long absence. Thanks for your posting!

  • Wow!!!! They were GREAT!!!

  • The Belmonts version of this song is the very best. Classic NY slow doo wop.. Great stuff.
