@supermortalhuman True but background streaming is not possible with Unity. Anything you load is going to block the main thread so this system uses some tricks to try to mask that. Only recent Unity 3.4 has support for proper texture streaming.

they wouldn't hiccup if you background streamed them before you actually need them, yea?
