V8 will always sound better than a V10, too. No other amount of cylinders arranged in a Vee sound as good as a regular-crank 8 - it's that simple. Where as the Viper is 8.2L and the Corvette is 7.0L. The DB's are created by flow, and the frequency of the sound is created by the displacement/RPM's. You want to argue louder but clearly the Corvette in this video IS louder then the Viper. AND an engine revving out to 9K rpms sounds AWESOME! Much different from that lub dub trucky sound we've associated to muscle cars. I dig the hi revving sound of true race motors.

Technically a Wakel engine (what the RX7 has) with a Race Port and an open down pipe is one of the loudest sounds known to man. They can approach 170DB uncorked and it's a very shrill sound.

Another thing, that 1.3L displacement figure for a 2 rotor is measured on two faces of the rotor at any given time, considering there are six faces total, all of which fire.. I think that's how displacement SHOULD have been calculated which puts the 13B much larger than 1.3L.
