I really want to become a music teacher...my music teacher changed my whole life because he had these qualities you speak of in your video and he cared. so now i'm spreading the love.
I would like to know when teachers became substitutes for parents. Yes these are problems, but when you go to college to become a teacher, you don't learn how to deal with any of this, teachers are intended to teach content. The civil servant tag just gets put on everything else so parents and communities don't have to deal with it. You want solutions, look at parents, not teachers.
The most thankless, responsibility filled, exhausting, draining, abusive, unjust, broken job in creation is teaching. Be prepared for a huge let down if you think it'll be anything more. The system is officially broken.
I am so saddened to hear you feel like giving up. This is a normal response to the overwhelming task of teaching that college does not prepare you for. But it"s an AWESOME calling and a wonderfully fulfilling career.
Wouldn't that be an ideal world if all parents actually acted like parents and no children were neglected by their PARENTS. If there was a social system that supported the education of parents and the rights of children for a safe and healthy life. Unfortunately it does not exist. If you are going into teaching for the holidays or because you like the curriculum content, you are not meant to be a teacher. There is so much more to it than academics. It has ALWAYS been this way.
I am a teen who is seriously thinking about being a teacher in the future. As I was watching this video, I was thinking about whether or not I would be able to watch out for these things, and change children's lives! I came to the answer of yes, I can! This was truly inspirational, and has only increased my longing to become...A Teacher!
It's good that you are thinking about this stuff because it does happen. More so in some schools than others but it is a big part of the job. Anyone who says that teaching is about the content and not about relationships, should never be a teacher. If you are thinking about this for a career just realize the rewards are often unseen, the money is not great, it is hard work and draining emotionally at times, and the impact you make on a child my not show up until they have long since moved on.
That's amazing. I have to say that really touched me. I self injure... And song speaks to me. The video totally does too. So many of my teachers I will NEVER forget. They've been there for me more than anyone else has. I'm so happy they cared as much as they did. Some people have no idea how a simple "I care about you" or a simple hug can truly change your life forever. Thank you for sharing that video, it's beautiful in a very deep way.
I am a teen who plans to be a teacher in the future. I am so impressed by this. There needs to be more teachers in the world who realize what's happening to their student and not their personal lives or the lives of their bestfriends!
I am a teacher in training and after watching this video, it only strengthened my reasonings for choosing to go down this path. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. I hope that it will inspire many!

it has brought me tears. How many children are suffering without help? let us lend our hands to at least few.

I'm so glad that you like it ^.^ I'm showing it to an introduction to education class, so I hope they react as positively as you did.
