I've worked in the custom Harley world for over 20 years for J&P cycles and the owner of CCI and I gotta say 2 thumbs up in my book anyone can write a check for a billet whorehouse or bolt together chrome but you did this yourself with no off the shelf crap and I bet had a ton of fun doing so. It sounded wicked I love it if your ever in Iowa I'd love to see it up close .

hell yeah!  Does it move faster without all the crap on it? I know its prob not much weight lose but still. and how does it handle? I know they setup the steering geomotry to be easy to balance all the weight of gear and stuff. not that you have nothing there how does it handle? any different or still easy to ride. but bitchen chop man!

I'm not a fan of loud bikes (espesially Harleys) but that Honda motor sounds great! I wish I could make my GL1800 louder without sacrificing horsepower. I'd like to be able to "feel" the engine a little more while riding with noisy bikes.

Hi. Your stock exhaust are very restrictant - the silencers restrickt airflow a lot, by bouncing it, filtering it, and changing its direction, to make soundwaves eliminate each other. The great amout of scilence (if you know what I mean :-) comes with power loss - physics law. Try googeling exhaust for your 1800, there are some exhausts out there that will make your engine breathe more easy, and therefore also sacrifice the sound filtering from the stock exhaust.
