  • Great quality man.

  • You UK guys love to troll on the US so here's a taste you your own medicine assholes

  • "Stromberg" is kinda German version of this series, but way diffrent. Its also made like a Mockumentary in a Office but the characters are totaly more awsome, also the Humor. I wish you guys could understand german. You would see that the Office is ........ not so good.

  • Conclusion: We need this generation's Hugh And Fry or Fools And Horses for British TV.

  • And Ricky continues his copy and paste humour in Extras and Life's Too Short. Predictable and becoming less funny by the second.

  • Recent UK TV is total shit, Eastenders wouldn't pass for a school play anywhere with good sense of quality. The reason I mention that is that's why Office UK got such an amazing reception. Big fish in a shitty pond.

In saying that, it was good, but not as good as it was made to be.

US Office jumped the shark around S5-6 (can't remember, they all kind of melt into each other with how much random shit goes on each episode).

  • The problem with the american version is that, the whole show is based around jokes. The office and the people in them come second to that. I feel the UK one was more at depth with the character. I felt bad for brent when he was in his hotel with his whiskey or on the road as a sales man.

the US version will constantly keep the jokes rolling. Its boring.

  • "do you remember what the question was?" - "no"

    aaaaalways cracks me up XD

  • Both are awesome in there own way, the British one is a bit more smart

  • I'm British and I think the American version is better

  • why do british people always think that their stuff is better?

  • @JeRseybOy251 they don't. the brits made it first and ricky gervais helped make an american one too. They're both pure genius though so everyone should top complaining

  • @Roxiiz9797 just because it was here first doesn't mean it was better, the only funny part about the british version is keith, that guy is hilarious!, the american one is so much more fun to watch, the british one is just so gloomy and boring.

  • @JeRseybOy251 i understand what you mean, and i've actually only watched the first UK episode before deciding that the US was so much better - to me. What i'm saying is a lot of people enjoy the british one. I love rainn wilson and ed helms on the US one sooo much and i'm australian btw so it's not a county thing or anything

  • @JeRseybOy251 We don't. Just in this case we are! I've grown up in the UK watching US tv and I adore it. It's great and a lot of our culture is based around US tv. However, in this instance it's blatantly obvious that the UK Office is a true masterpiece which pioneered a lot of shows since.

  • @mulanruggio i tried watching the UK version on netflix, but i just can't get into it, theres not much going on, like the US version has so much fun situations.

  • @JeRseybOy251 This is a "Documentary in a Real Office" that is the whole concept of the show. If you ever worked in an office you would know that breaks from tedium happen once a day not every 5 minutes.

  • @JeRseybOy251 BECAUSE IT IS

  • get the fuck out of our country

    limey golden globe award

    /watch?v=dmWxUGStTj4&feature=related

    2012 treats people like 2033

    liberal douchebags

  • Can't we just say they're both good in their own way? Geez.

  • If you have ever worked in an office there's always a Keith . This is comedy of the highest order . Every character is superb . Makes you laugh and cringe in equal measure . Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant deserve every credit for this show .

  • I think this should just be "The Office" and the American one be "The Office US" Makes much more sense seeing as this is obviously the superior of the two.

  • i dont see how this is funny in anyway shape or form

  • @WhiteMaleRights ya same, sum ppl are stupid, i was watching the whole vid wit my face like this --> -__- didnt even smirk a bit, this is such a retarded show...The Office (US) is the opposite of this hahaha i loooove the US one! :D <---thats how my face looks like wen im watching the US version hahaha.... americans kno how its done. woot woot

  • @SJGSpook I'm American but I love Monty Python, though I've only seen the Holy Grail. :D it was comical

  • This humor is much more silent. This one seems more boring so I prefer Fraiser to UK The office but the american office is way too annoying and awkward they rely heavily on michael scotts inappropriate remarks and he is such an idiot it sometimes annoys me. There is no way he could be a boss for that long with the stupidity he pulls.

  • Better lighting?good point,

  • The American office has better lighting. They are both really funny in their own way though.

  • As much as i love the office it is a complete rip off of operation good guys

  • Gervais and co would be pissing themselves at the flame wars going on in the comments.

The Ukrainian version is without a doubt the best you CUNTS

  • Obviously the British sense of humour is too intellectual for some Americans. Just because the jokes aren't written on a fucking Big Mac they don't understand it.

  • @SlyDog1314 LOL. Agree.

  • WTF ??.. This diddnt even put a grin on my face Fuck UK.. US Office is the best there is !!

  • Wings of Redemption

  • I hate when europeans calls us americans because im pretty sure there's more than 1 country in america and not all speak english!

  • @mrIpodmagic umm, the actual demonym of the United States is American, so when someone says american, they refer to a resident of the United States, not the landmass, comprising 2 continents.

  • I wonder what Americans think of other classic comedies like Blackadder and Phoenix nights. It seems that the humour sails over their heads and they might miss a subtle look at the camera or maybe they don't appreciate the perfect timing and delivery. The American version is very obvious and loud but this does not make for great comedy. I love American shows and they have done some great comedies but I find the American version of this to be pretty average.

  • Do you remember what the question was?...No!

If you dont cry tears at that then your missing the humour neuron. Big Keith is one of the funniest chraracters.

  • Offices ARE boring.....it is supposed to be a fly on the wall documentary of an office..I first saw Steve Carrell when he was on the John Stewart show 10 years ago and found it funny....seen him in many things .....he has never changed yet and stopped being funny when he went into films.

Americans fall asleep because there is no laughter track BUT there would not be becausze of what it is.

  • I'm sorry, i love ricky gervais but I almost fell asleep watching this. The american version is the only show I watch and its constantly funny

  • *falls asleep*

  • I didn't find this very funny. The jokes seemed a but bland to me. I didn't hear a single "that's what she said" joke, and those

    Make everything hilarious.

  • UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version UK version > US version US version > UK version blaaaah
  • Steve Carrell DOES NOT act he is always Steve Carrell.....

  • @gnwillou False; you have never seen Steve Carrell in anything else. Fact; Steve Carrell changes his characters in many motion pictures.

  • This is PURE CLASS.....it explains why Americans do not like it....there is no one telling you when to laugh ....this works on so many different levels.

If you ever worked in an office you would understand what is going on...

  • @gnwillou Seriously, shut up.

  • @gnwillou you are an idiot they dont que laughter in the american one either nitshit.

  • @gnwillou Funnily enough the American TV show Curb Your Enthusiasm started the year before this hugely influenced it. Probably explains why Gervais idolizes Larry David. Have you ever tried to watch Seinfeld? The greatest example of British audiences not being sophisticated enough to 'get' a comedy that I've ever seen.

  • @gnwillou No, there are jokes with punch lines here. It really isn't any more clever than the American one, it just feels a bit more British.

  • @gnwillou the american version has the same style, no one tells you when to laugh, this one is just boring, keith is the star of the show. face it, the american one is just so much more fun to watch.

  • @gnwillou Many americans love the british version, as well as the american version. And every other combination (hate both, like only one). Stop with the incorrect generalizing to make yourself feel superior on what is, ultimately, a subjective topic, you dope.

  • @gnwillou It's a comedy show. What you'll sink to in order to try to scrounge up any self worth and significance is pathetic.

  • @gnwillou american version of Office tried that in first seaon, it wasn't working

  • @gnwillou From the states mate, it's bloody hilarious. What are you going on about?

  • I think the british office is better and im american

  • @ALLIED7621 false

  • @tantheman6254 so youre saying my opinion is false, so apparently my own personal mind is a lie? And I must use doublethink to correct my error...got ya big brother!

  • @ALLIED7621

fuck that man american office is wayy better, and im not american.

  • @MrTuffgongrecords No it fucking isn't!

  • @OllieMunoz

yea, yea it is. this version suck hairy balls.

  • @MrTuffgongrecords No, you're not American - you're an idiot.

  • @FormulaVid

i am Jamaican and British and i still think that the american version is not original but its funnier, its just a different sense of humor.

  • @ALLIED7621 of course it was uk who did it first, americans just copied the idea, cant escape the fact that ricky is a comedy genius and the humour is very uk

  • @realityexplorations

wow Ricky Gervais a comedy genius? David Chappelle is a comedy genius, Louis CK is a comedy genius, Larry David genius, Seinfeld genius, Monty Python cast genius but Ricky? he can be funny but he's no genius.

  • omg stop comparing the two.

  • I'm Canadian. I live by America and my country has loyalties to Britain, so I'm not biased in saying this. In my opinion...

US The Office Season 2-6 > UK The Office > US The Office Season 1, 7, and 8

  • Eh... I don't get the humor...

  • @nAthaNkco

Not enough people slipping on banana skins?

  • Best scene ever of the Office, remember to watch Ewen MacIntosh next week on Lifes Too Short playing a character similar to Keith!

  • My favourite scene fro the whole show

  • There's NO SUCH THING as 'British' or 'American' humour, different people find different things funny. Capish?

  • well, this is original and the best as per me and I love it and as far as the US one go, no matter how good it gets it will always be a copy.

  • @quietriotish Well the show has definitely already peaked and is on a downward spiral. They were very stupid thinking the show could go on without Steve Carell. I think both Steve Carell and Ricky Gervais did excellent jobs playing incompetent bosses in their own unique way. However other than Michael Scott, the American version has nothing on the UK version. The UK version is written much better, generally funnier, and had enough sense to end the show while it was still good..

  • Comment removed

  • lol good

  • Gervais created something so special on this show. The Office is incredibly finely observed. So many little things that make it the best sitcom ever seen.

  • I hate this fat slob cunts voice on the Drench water advert. Office is fucking class though

  • emm...

  • The UK version is genius, a sort of subtle humour which is a far cry from the slapstick dumbed down humour on the US version. Irish people are quite divided as to which one is better, but personally I far prefer the UK version.

  • Apparently UK didn't really like this show because it got cancelled.

  • @Sept0pus That's an ignorant comment. Ricky Gervais intended it to be only 2 seasons from the beginning, so it didn't become stale and lame like many sitcoms do. It lasted 2 seasons because it was designed to; that's part if its genius.

  • @Sept0pus Cancelled lol, It's arguably the best Sitcom of the last 20 years, do you really think it got cancelled? In Britain we just prefer quality over quantity.

  • This is so boring compared to the US version

  • Question 2...

  • well... ok

  • Do you remember what the question was? .. No.

  • guys, both the UK version and the US version are written by Ricky Gervais therefore they are both good!!!

  • I watched the UK version, liked it and therefore did the logical thing of watching the US version. Try not to compare them as the second season is where it picks up.

  • Sweden prefer the US version! Just saying. ;)

  • to me this is THE best/funniest scene from the entire UK show. i laughed so hard first time i saw this. i can only imagine how many takes it took them to get through that lol

  • The us version has killed it, 5 seasons of shit when the uk version only has 2 and they are masterpices. and im american.

  • Comment removed

  • Da nah...

  • the british version might as well be called 'the gervais show' or 'gervais does his pompous boss routine and has all the camera time show'

i admit that gervais is better than carrell but the american office has alot of characters the british one basically has one (well keith rocks in this scene but tahts it)

  • Sorry, but this is sooo much better than the dull american version!

  • 3:04

  • 2 cents here. I enjoy them both, I just feel the american one was better cast.

  • even David Brent's smarter than some people.!

and i would very much like to go to an office video and not see all the comments battling over which is fucking better US or UK. it's never gonna be solved so leave it alone

  • I am in america, born in america, and I have to say, the US version is THE WORST. Uk office has best believable acting and I cannot stand US version. Please all you hicks learn something k? ^_^

  • the british one is the original.Much more believable. The US version is not bad either.

  • This is retarded. The real thing is the American Version

  • @ItsTheSperminator even though this came before? and is and always will be funnier and more original?

  • @IHarlequinity the American Version is shit!

  • @IHarlequinity ever consider that the american office LASTED for more than 14 episodes in total? i think that says a substantial amount about 1. the quality of US vs. UK, 2. the US has more originality because its lasted longer.... and its funnier because obviously audiences find it to be so. sorry, facts outweigh opinions in this case...

  • @tantheman6254 or maybe it says a substantial amount about Americans audiences which include many dumb fucks like you, who are too stupid to appreciate subtle comedy, and allow shows as hideously unfunny as friends to run for a horrific 10 years..

  • @ItsTheSperminator your a bit special really aren't you?

  • The US original office is so much better than this cheap uk copy ?! Why can't ye come up with your own stuff instead of copying us.

  • @monkeysnatch1 Hahahaha what? the UK one was out first. WTF retard.

  • @Ally1502 He's probably trolling. No one's that stupid.

  • @monkeysnatch1 are you being serious? lol. im HOPING this comment is British humor at its best. lol.

  • This makes Life's too short look so amateur..

  • "Under weaknesses...you put 'exema'." lmao

  • do you know what the question was? no lol

  • "do you remember the question?"

oh my god i was dying when i first heard that part. i was hyperventalating.

  • im from the UK and i think both are brilliant. i do love the UK version because much of the humour is about knowing what the characters are thinking, despite them not actually saying it. its almost as if they use silence as a form of dialogue.

all the people saying 'US are lame for copying our show' need to get over it. watch season 1 - 5 you cant deny that the writers are very talented

  • Performance reviews are complete horseflop! At one company, they screwed up and gave me two reviews, by two different managers. The two managers couldn't agree on my strengths, weaknesses, or what skills I needed to work on!

It was on that day that I realized I should follow Keith's model, and put the least amount of effort humanly possible into the process.

  • Both are great and very different shows. Get over it

  • British people in general will prefer the British version and Americans will probably prefer the US version. Its a culture thing and Brits and Americans have very different sense of humours.

However saying all that the UK version is a masterpiece and the US version is just another run of the mill easy viewing dumbed down comedy, just like two and a half men or friends, which amazingly America seems to love.

  • @Hittingitstiff Friends is amazing. I'm british.

  • @MaverickJimBob Lol in fairness i've probably seen every single episode, but it's not really funny is it, sure it's very easy viewing and Rachel and Monica are hot but it's not exactly a comedic masterpiece.

  • @Hittingitstiff I've seen every single episode, and there are some hit and miss bits. Oh, and Rachel and Monica are hot indeed.

  • @Hittingitstiff well im Australian and the UK version is much cleverer. the US is great but is more simple.

  • @Hittingitstiff im english and much prefer the US version, i love both american and english comedy but i have to say on average the uk creates much better comedies, but when it comes to the office steve carrel makes me roflmao and ricky gervais is just alright

  • @Hittingitstiff The US version is loved for its dry, random humor. It leaves quotes that stick in your head for years. However, when Michael left, it went downhill. The only good show left on American television is The Big Bang Theory.

  • @Hittingitstiff Just out of interest, is Monty python "Nerdy" in the US?

  • it's not that the UK version is better it just that UK people are better :O)

  • the UK version is thought provoking, obviously that wont go down well in the usa

  • ricky Gervais makes the UK office, all the comedy is through him,

without him it would be like a real office

The US version is fine, but I don't find Ricky alter ego funny in the same way or don't understand him

  • Not even funny

  • @LittleSkittlex ... in your opinion. Do you always watch videos of things you don't like? Knobhead.

  • @rafazii

Oh yeah definitely bro I just search everything I hate up and troll all over that(:

    For real.

  • @LittleSkittlex life must be boring for you, not having a sense of humour and all

  • @FukCommando

    You better believe it!

  • "Do you know what the question was?" "No". Love it!

  • love Gareth holding up the form at the start

  • not funny

  • @jizzy2k have you ever worked in an office though?

  • "We're gonna LEAVE that there."

  • The uk office is funny but I think the American one was better... now it's trash since steve carrel left :(

  • "Under weaknesses, you've put eczema."

  • @TheLike11 maybe its the fact that im still growing up? im still a kid, so get over YOUR self

  • @2601andrew well too bad

  • @2601andrew stereotypes much? I just watched this entire video AGAIN and I couldn't understand half of what they are saying

  • @kocejam Don't watch the video then. It's too bad you'll never be able to understand us without a translator... we've got some cool stuff over here.

  • @2601andrew but their bloody accent. its a tichy bit hard to understand

  • @kocejam An English accent is easy to understand, it's clearer than a yankee accent at least.

  • @2601andrew HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. OH god, don't make me laugh so hard. LOL

  • @kocejam What don't you understand? I'm American, and I can make out every word. I grew up in Chicago so I know what unclear English sounds like. Get over yourself.

  • Superb-the american office is rubbish (garbage) never bothered with it

  • now if i could understand what they are saying..... ide actually give a shit

  • @kocejam They're speaking English, your native language...

  • When the news emerged that Gervais and Merchant had sold the rights to the US to make their own version it was reported that Steve Merchant's "eyes bulged with imagined riches".... no, his eyes bulge anyway

  • The uk is the original and the brain child of the 2 genius's Merchant and Gervais. What happens when you license out the shows format to another country, many more people get their hands in and take it to a place where they see fit, to appeal to their own market. The US show is slightly different to suit their audience, the German Office will cater for the German sense of humor. The original will never replicated exactly the same cos whats the point? its already been done!

  • Original The Office is awsome!

  • the u.s office is so much better

  • @dshannon24 You're american, aren't you?

  • Everyone ready for this??? I am American and I prefer the English version. Everyone ok? Alright then, I also enjoy the American version. We still good? No British or American heads have exploded at the idea of actually enjoying something that may have originated in another country? OK, good.

  • @calebshu CANADIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

  • @calebshu DAMN right our American cousin! I am English and love both versions! I think my countrymen forget, that working offices in America are different - thus, the difference in humour. In your version, I like Dwight best - sinister guy! GREAT STUFF!

  • @calebshu You've been talking to some weird people, mate

  • @MrGroogly Almost exclusively

  • @calebshu Objectivelly one is better than the other,of course that doesn't make the other shit.It has plenty of good jokes but what makes the office great is the awkard moments. Don't understand why brits should not enjoy something originated from another country?Don't get it since as many shows it got exported to US. As for the issue itself it seem Ricky Gervais has some problems too-if you remember the golden globes.

  • Thats fine with me . I am British and most of my favourite shows have been American eg seinfeld, sanders, sopranos, hill street blues, babylon 5, northern exposure... but some great UK ones too.

  • Comment removed

  • @calebshu Mine has.

  • one of the best if not the best sitcom ever between this fawlty towes , father ted , curb your enthusiasm , garth marenghis darkplace and alan partridge lol

  • keith just doesn't give a feck.

  • From dont know to very much soo ....hahaha genius

  • This is the greatest scene in the whole series.

  • everyone's fighting about us vs. uk on these uk office videos. ... on the us office videos, people are just posting happy comments. calm the fak down, uk
