He is in jail and has to serve 30 years! Now you know that one person can effect more than one person if its just towards one person.

One night, he stole my entire paycheck and left. It was worth every penny because now- after much counseling & 4 years later-I am alive and in a loving relationship. I almost waited too long. This is very sincere. My husband who I have a restraining order against and he went to jail last week for the first time; however, not the first time but since (2009 December) I have lost almost all of my friends for going back to him.

I never was in a love realtionship with someone who was abusive to me, but they were like a brother to me. And I talked myself into just brushing it off saying that he olny acted that way when he was high. But, he acted that way when he was also mad with anyone or anything, I made a good punching bag he once told me. He died a few years ago.

I am scared for life by one memory of my dad drunkenly hitting my mams head against the door. I was only four and i am so glad it was the one time. My mam did not leave my dad but that was what the argument was about. She was going to leave him becasuse the did not get along ell that night. My mam and dad are still together tot his day and i know how much my dad regrets it. for 2 years i was with a guy who was wonderful. after the first 6 months i got to see the ugly and abusive side. it was mostly verbal and mental abuse but there was some hitting inbetween and he cheated. all my friends tried to pull me away from him but it was like he had a leach around my neck. but then i found the love of my life and he helped get away from all the abuse.

I was physically abused by my father, I had keys, lighters, and even kitchen chairs thrown at me. I was also sexually abused at the age of 4 and again at the age of 10 by two diffrent men! Never once did I hold it in and not talk about it, and both those men AND my father were sent to jail for their crimes. Holding stuff like in damages and changes people!

this is exactly what happened to me. i'm 12, and it's totally messed up my mind, seeing my own dad hit everyone i love. this video brought tears to my eyes, as my mum recently split up with another abusive partner <3
I love this. It shows the exact response anyone would give in a situation like that. Anyone who has been in an abusive situation can relate to how she defends him, and always thinks of the good, and the contradiction of not feeling like she deserves it but secretly thinking maybe she did.

I was in an abusive relationship throughout my entire pregnancy. I thought it would get better when I had the baby but it never did. It got worse the day I had her. We were in the hospital and he'd beat me. When I was moving her baby bed when we get home he hit me in the ribs repeatedly with a metal pole and then hit me in the head and knocked me out with my baby girl, who was only a few days old, in my arms. That's when I finally decided to get out. I've never been happier now that he's gone.

And I talked myself into just brushing it off saying that he olny acted that way when he was high. But, he acted that way when he was also mad with anyone or anything, I made a good punching bag he once told me. He died a few years ago.

I found a man that treats me well, and who loves me..And life sucks sometimes because the man that abused me is fine and the one that is wonderful was in a wreck last week. He's in critical condition in the trauma unit. He wasn't wearing his seat belt..

I am scared for life by one memory of my dad drunkenly hitting my mams head against the door. I was only four and i am so glad it was the one time. My mam did not leave my dad but that was what the argument was about. She was going to leave him becasuse the did not get along ell that night. My mam and dad are still together tot his day and i know how much my dad regrets it. for 2 years i was with a guy who was wonderful. after the first 6 months i got to see the ugly and abusive side. it was mostly verbal and mental abuse but there was some hitting inbetween and he cheated. all my friends tried to pull me away from him but it was like he had a leach around my neck. but then i found the love of my life and he helped get away from all the abuse.
i feel so much better now with a man that truly loves me, your mother is lucky to have you and i hope she gets better =)

@zeronagirl Hunny everyone has their own stories! Seriosuly? 75% of women are physically and sexually abused before reaching the age of 21! I was physically abused by my father, I had keys, lighters, and even kitchen chairs thrown at me. I was also sexually abused at the age of 4 and again at the age of 10 by two diffrent men! Never once did I hold it in and not talk about it, and both those men AND my father were sent to jail for their crimes. Holding stuff like in damages and changes people!

I was in an abusive relationship throughout my entire pregnancy. I thought it would get better when I had the baby but it never did. It got worse the day I had her. We were in the hospital and he'd beat me. When I was moving her baby bed when we get home he hit me in the ribs repeatedly with a metal pole and then hit me in the head and knocked me out with my baby girl, who was only a few days old, in my arms. I had to leave my husband too. he is very abusive in all ways but sexual to me and my kids. I moved on and others should do the same. Kids don't need to see stuff like that and women don't need to put up with that. I hope other women in this situation gets out before it's to late.

I can't begin to understand how your mum or even you feel about this issue, I myself was badly hurt by my ex boyfriend. I won't say how but I was extremly hurt over it, guys that do that to women or even gay men or anyone else, anyone that does that should be shot, I know it's bad to think like that but noone deserves to be hit by a man, no way. if anyone gets hurt then they should get up, kik the shit out of the guy that done it, keep your head held high and walk into a new life. xx.
