  • @wtfyourafuckindoosh I was actually using the '08 GTR 35- apparently the game has a separate '09 V-SPEC, which I bested with 7:40 (made some errors). The computer on hard always gets ~7:28.

  • Its so amazing to see this, i mean i have been on the Nordschleife myself with a shitty stock citroen saxo (130hp) and even then the g-forces are immense. Imagine this car and all the g-forces it brings and still keeping the car under control!

I'm not really that big of a ZR1 fan, I'm more a Mercedes kind of guy but I posted on this video to comment on the hilarious nature of Nissan fans whose favorite product has been proven time and again to be inferior to it's stated competition.

The zr1 is superior in every way, and doesn't need all wheel drive or paddle shifters to post good numbers. 7:19 with a real manual and rwd, suck on that jap faggots. Numbers don't lie.   • the ZR1 and the VIPER also have higher topends then the GTR R35 so factor that in for the strait away but theGTR is better in the corner do to the allwheel drive but its still quick as hell and has a lot less power then the other 2 cars

  • very good driving. i`m still surprised that the gtr is slower than a zr1, because the guy who drove the zr1 lost lots of time at many corners and was sliding way to often. this driver here got a clear line, alltough at 3:16 he made a big mistake taking the corner from inside. still great drining and fantastic car.

  • sw1000xg - I like how you completely dodged the comment about the straightaway speed which tells a big part of the story. You didn't disprove that so that means I was right. Does your life revolve around this car? By the way I said I liked the GTR. . I noticed somebody else basically agreed with me but said it wasn't relative because it handled so good, which doesn't really prove anything. By the way, the transmission overheated at the track pretty fast.

  • Too bad it's a modified GTR. My buddy has a modified GTR and a stock Viper ACR. The ACR was 2 seconds faster a lap on a tight track. I have driven his GTR and its bad ass but overrated. Nissan is very good at marketing and they know how to play the game. It takes this GTR the same time to go down the back straightaway as the ZR1. GTR 500hp/3900lbs  ZR1 640hp/3200lbs. If that doesn't tell you something nothing will. They could easily up the boost with no one knowing.

    I also believe that this GT-R have bigger boost than stock, but you can't do fake handling, suspensions, tires... simply, handling cost sever times more than power boosting. Many cars on Ring like Koenigsegg 860bhp and 1250kg and still slower than 530 bhp / 1450kg Porsche. It's not all in power, but many other things.

    Most important THING is actually DRIVER. You can put in GT-R; F1 driver, GT driver, STIG and average driver, and they all would have different times.

    When someone spent 6 months of testing and driving same car on same track, he actually knows every secret of this car and track.

  • @kyle330r So Sport Auto's time of 7:38 for the GTR and the ZR1 is upping the boost is it? Then Sport Auto drove the 2011 GTR and got 7:34 so is that upping the boost. People like you need to get a life no-one has proven that it was modified, and the GTR has proven time and time again on the track in independant testers the GTR is faster than most supercars!!! They have built shit for so long and along come nissan with ENGINEERING and make it faster... proving they can't make good cars!!!

  • this car can definitely beat the ZR1 around Nordsleife track if weren't for the momentum build up at the starting point. That kinda defeat the purpose of a real race, & putting the GTR 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds to waste.

  • well, id say its not all about the cars zr-1 and gtr, it also depends on the weather on the day it is tested on the track, the roads temperature, its dryness or wetness, the air/wind pressure, the "drivers" i bet they are pretty nervous when testing and is in a high level of pressureetc. but not trying to insult the zr-1 but i prefer GTR and other tuner's and exotics.. no muscles =p

  • Too bad the Japs lied and this car is not at all stock. It's also running stickier tires. It's also a shame that turning off traction control or taking this car to the track voids it's warranty (isn't it supposed to be raced?). All you asians can talk smack on the Vette, but your supped up GTR (that you cant buy since its not production spec) got beat by a stock Vette. Stop crying.

  • This is fast, I think this is a stock GTR, I don't like very much of the ZR-1, yes it's very fast but only in a straight line, with some curves the GTR smokes it and americans should respect that. ZR-1 has plastic parts to cut the weight and its interior is from far away the worse among all cars I already saw it running against.

    Besides, the trunk lining looks like an old rag. But it also has astonishing performances.

  • @nly8nchz For sure, the corvette is the king of over steer. you need to be a pro. friend of mine has a vette and he needs to drive with the traction control off or else it either wont function as well or shuts off. Thanks GM. anyways it is very difficult to drive. The GTR is very easy, drove one myself and its very sleek and its launch control is awesome but its basically a good traction control.

  • its very important that all cars start at same point, because if it wasn't the best place to start is at the slowest point in the track and that is a huge leg up.

The timer starts by the little right fence on the right, YET it stops by the beginning of the blue little fence that starts by the last turn onto the straight.. Nissan = FAIL!

Zr1 can bearly beat the GTR and 911 Turbo with upto 153bhp more 170lb of torque and they still compare these two cars against the ZR1...

  • Why did these fools keep comparing a GTR to ZR1 the gtr only has a displacement of 3.8 V6 while Zr1 has 6.2 V8 almost twice the engine size of the gtr. if chevy can manage to make an V6 engine with that much amount of horsepower then only then I will give it props.

  • Bullcrap. A V8 designed for trucks will never have better top end thn a V6 designed for sportscar racing. It has nothing to do with the amount of cylinders.

    Depends on the bore and stroke too. If the engine is designed to pull heavy loads or run at a constant rpm.

    Displacement plays a far bigger part than the amount of cylinders. However a well designed V12 and V10 will always produce more power than a V8 of a similar displacement. Development costs are higher though and reliability lower.

  • The GT-R is such an awesome car, it's underpowerd compared to its rivals, it weighs more, but is still manages to beat them and is only .02 second slower than a Zr1 with 160+HP, just imagine the GT-R with 600+ hp around the Ring, it woul murder all it rivals! Nissan did their homework with the GT-R.

  • I defently agree the GTR v6 480 bhp 1,870kg 7.26.7 and the ZR1 v8 638bhp 1,520kg 7.26.4 only just by a tiny fraction it beat the GTR, just shows you how fantastic the GTR is for its size, money and the handling :-)

  • not to burst the Americans' bubble but the ZR1's best lap time at the Nurburgring is almost 0.2 seconds faster (length of the track 13.9 miles = 20.8Km) ... you pay more than 25,000$ for this unnoticeable difference. you also get a crappy interior, an ugly look. and no charisma what so ever.

    my word for you guys. GO FUCK YOURSELVES.
