When a birds wing flaps upward, it bends in a downward arc creating little resistance, when the wing is pushed down, it expands outward naturally and collects air, forcing it together creating a high pressure and then it exits through the back of the wing. It is much like a cupped hand.

your pitch control power is low. A quick fix might be to shift the cg but due to the unsteady nature of flapping flight it might just be that you don't have enough flow attached to the tail.... that would imply redesigning the entire thing..... Pretty cool project tho...best of luck!

just dont understand how the wing of a bird works. useless invention but still it is an art to shake the wings that hard and have no lift. giving the bird a head ake.
