if anyone has the estes ELECTRON BEAM black starter , how hard do you have to push in the safety key and how long should it take for the light to go on????
Safer than flying a kite in a thunderstorm, but, yeah, it's certainly not wise to launch a rocket in the rain. Everything gets wet and the high winds don't help.
It was a combo, I have done this as a hobby for yrs, that one only goess 600-800 feet so you can follow it easier and still time to run far enough. I had to run a little over 1/4 mile. Fun hobby and great rocket to buy
Im a proper camera guy and I use bigish broadcast cameras and I tried filming rockets the other day and its buggeringly hard. Following something so small going so fast against the sky is not easy....
Hey thanks. I think the filming could have been better with most of these but it is a 11 yr old filming some and even if it was me I cant follow just perfect either, site is lost at times
The launch after this one chute didnt come out and crashed in the middle of the high traffice street so lots of work. The 2 or 3 launch days these were recorded it was 11/12 yr olds filming and me chasing. These are posted mainly for their friends to see, far from expert movie recorder though

Great rocket. Mine flies on 12 C6-5's in a cluster(equiv to G72). Had to add weight to the nose as well as put a bigger chute on it.

True. But the "Big Daddy" is hard to find. After all else fails, try eBay!
