Yeah and Tae Kwon Do came from the Chinese when the Chinese taught the koreans. TKD was a bunch of martial arts in Korea put together. The only one that didn't come together I think is Hop Kee Do.
the hapkido founder was a korean immigrant who went to japan during the japanese occupation. he attended an aikido dojo and brought back the art to korea. the characters for HAP and AI are same in chinese
there is not suck thing as good or bad -_- only practice can make any technique better. there is no such thing as which martial art is better or not its like this a begginer muaythai is sparring with master of tae kwon do. but the master would win. and when a master of muay thai and begginer tae kwon do sppars master would win. the master wins because they had alot of practice of the marital art. peaceB-)

People think of Tkd as just an art where the movements are memorized and not completely used. Those people are wrong. Tae Kwon Do originated as a military art, only taught to the soldiers, for hand to hand purposes.

I defeated him because he did not train diligently in his art, I am not a fighter, I am just a student of the way of peace, I am a student of many arts, including Muay Thai and Tae Kwon Do. I train my body to fight for when I need to, but I do not consider myself as a fighter. It is people like us who much spread the true word of martial arts throughout the world, and to other younger martial artists. Alot of people like the people here know very little about other arts but talk down about it.
And yes it quite sad to see other martial drifting away from the beauty of the traditional arts. Like kickboxing for example, UFC and XMA its sad they no longer use the traditional meaning of martial arts and dont practice it.
What I like about kungfu tkd, karate, these marital arts adapt to time, as new ways of defense and more effective ways of destruction are developed, people incorperate it into the style. TKD has brought in things from juijutsu, concepts from judo, kendo, hapkido, and so on, same with karate, what people dont understand is that just because you add a new way to fight does not make it a different martial art. This is especially for kungfu, which by definition is already broad in itself
