  • LONG LIVE OF THE REPUBLIC OF BASQUE.

  • The Basques are Greeks not Irish. They have ancient Hellenic blood in them and the researches shows that they have similarities with modern Greeks! The ancient Greeks had colonies all around Europe(and not only of course) so a lot of people now may have and share the superb ancient Greek blood! But the DNA of the Basques is almost identical with the Greek one.Greetings from Greece! :)

  • @AZOR555555 that is the dumbest thing I ever heard. were you fed paint chips as a kid?

  • @patrap Where did u learn about this Trojan Horse coming in March?

  • being British myself i am proud how we have a connection with the basques

  • @TheCharlieHoltonTV you mean youre welsh? not the same as english

  • @SummernlightningUSA no im British which means i have ancestry from a number of nations in Britain

  • @TheCharlieHolton TV people in wales and scotland have the basque dna, the english not so much.

  • @SummernlightningUSA and you would know all about that wouldnt you with the internal immigration from the past its hard to tell and you say all this when your nation does not have the Basque dna much either

by the way a little bit of info for you when someone says they are British does not mean they have a complete amount of English DNA you bigot

  • @SummernlightningUSA for example on one side of a British persons family they could have Scottish and English in their ancestry does that make them Anglo Saxon only ?

by the way you dont realize the Norse tribes either that changed ENgland Scotland Wales and Ireland so none are 100%

not only that your country made more or those with Basque dna move to England when you helped in the Irish Revolution

or do you like to pretend that did not happen like the war of 1812 right ?

  • @TheCharlieHoltonTV british is an ineffectual blanket term. My Irish cousins in the uk who married english or scots dont use british as an ethnic term, british is more accurate in describing welsh people.

  • @SummernlightningUSA well that's your view but its not always the case if anything the English call ourselves British the most but it does not mean that someone who is Scottish cant call them self British as can the welsh but Northern Ireland is a Part of the UK this is basic stuff you should already know

  • @TheCharlieHoltonTV you call yourselves british because your government tells you to. your soldiers stand around with guns in the country of my ancestors because your government tells you to. The tyranny injustice, murder and rape your government has inflicted on the world has lost much of its power, and will continue to die as time goes on.

  • @SummernlightningUSA you really are a nasty peace of shit

im British because i choose to be

and by the way is that not the pot calling the kettle black

with the war mongers you have had as your president

and as for continuing to die isnt the USA in nearly 16 trillions of dollars of debt ?

and as for losing power the same could be said about the USA again with china about to overtake you as a superpower you are fading you sad prat

  • @TheCharlieHoltonTV and as for being told you can be From what ever home nation and still be British like in the USA for example lets pick California a Californian can call himself an American as well as a Californian why ?

because they live on the same continent as the other states like

for me i am British because i was born on the island of Britain its not that hard to know that

anyway im bored about talking about that crap

  • @SummernlightningUSA and as for ancestry there is such a thing call national heritage which is something which several people regardless where in the uk they are from have from which mean they can be from one and have a heritage from another

the problem with people like you you type without thinking you see things in black and white without looking up the stuff first now i think being from the uk i would know just a bit more than someone from the outside dont you ?

  • the basque and the irish people are brothers we have the same dna and we are fiercely independent victory to my basque brothers and sisters from ireland most of the spanish people are just basques who speak a latin dialect 55&of the spanish people have rb1 same as the basques the basque language was spoken over a much wider area at the time of the romans

  • @1969203 yes indeed, spanish is a latin dialect wiht basque pronunciation. Therefore, if anybody is listening to somebody speaking basque, he could think it´s spanish if he don´t know the language !

  • Freedom!

    And freedom for catalan countries!

  • I am from New Orleans, 52 RH- A neg Blood, and my life has been tied to here,as a Caucasian, Iris, English, German, and Jew. A great change is coming. When the World is presented a Trojan Horse in March, reject it. It is a ruse to maintain the veil, which is lifting as we approach the Eschaton that awaits us all.

  • Very beautiful! Thank you !

  • My grandmother view the whole thing of Gernika, some of U dnt know what te F**are u saying, the vasque people is a miracle, we preserve our traditions, un Euskadi, and in all the world, Gora EUSKAL HERRIA

  • Gora euskadi!

  • There is no mystery here. I was hoping they discussed their origins which evidence suggest were cro-magnon or atlantean.

  • cro-magnons=

    I1 = northern europe

I2 = southern and western europe

    aryans =

R1a = the entire east (slavs)

R1b = the entire west (celts)

  • I am a Basque living abroad already for many years. Miss my country so much! Thanks for the video!

  • @SummernlightningUSA seriously, i'm just baffled. why are you assuming so much about me? i sincerely do not understand. first of all, i'm gay, and second of all, it's against my beliefs to look to "get laid." i'm not a casual sex person. when i find the right person i'll bang!! really, come on. i've had relationships in the past, so there's no need for me to worry about repeating the process to get into relationships for the future. don't assume so much about strangers.

  • Did population explosions cause all the waring and migrations of the tribes in Europe?

  • many of them look irish, the irish welsh and scots are supposed to be decended from people who came from northern spain there to the british isles in the stone age according to scientists

the dna is very similer many of these people have faces like irish people I know

  • @SummernlightningUSA actually that goes for all of the spanish iberian since the havent got much foreign genetic influnce in probably the last 10,000 years what has changed i that region is the language and culture. with the exception of the Vasconians aka the basques

  • being proud of being born in a race, is a bit like being proud of the sky for turning blue. there is nothing wrong with being happy the sky is blue. But you dident make the sky blue. You did not ask to be born into an ethnic group, so why should you let them tell you how to live your life? What you say yes to, and what you say no to, are all you have power over in life, thats all we can really be proud of.

  • @SummernlightningUSA Apparently when the soul chooses to reincarnate, it chooses a specific life that will benefit its mission, ie it looks for the closest most suitable body in the most suitable living environment. Therefore that means it does very much choose the race and ethnic group for that specific incarnation. And since the you or the I or the person is the soul it means it asks or chooses it's ethnic groups in which to live that life.

  • @WhiteWorldLord that is interesting, because my soul tells me you are mental

  • @SummernlightningUSA What purpose drives you to insult?

  • @WhiteWorldLord ask your psychatrist, before you kill again.

  • @SummernlightningUSA Since your first thought went to psychiatrist that's what I'd say you need!

  • @SummernlightningUSA did u comment back or something cuz i cant find urs

  • My last name is Basque and I'm really interested in my roots!

  • I'm saying why do you single the English out? Welsh MP's in the UK government, Welsh leaders in the armed forces etc.

  • A DNA study would be interesting to do on the Basque people. I suspect that it would show that you have Celtic DNA, since they inhabited that whole region before there was a France or a Spain.

  • Check out the swastika @4:05.

  • @1robinsong it is lauburu, not swastika

  • @1robinsong and?

  • @1robinsong It's a Celtic symbol called "Lauburu" which means "Four heads" in Basque language.

  • @1robinsong it's not a swastika idiot. Does it look like one? no.

  • LOL

  • @IAXE692 It's called TXALAPARTA.

  • Arraroa benetan. Espainarrek gure nortasuna ukatu eta gainontzeko herrialdetako jendeak gure kultura txalotzen. Espaina desegitearen beldur dira ala?

Really curious: Spanish people denying our identity and people of other countries claping our culture. Are they fearful of undoing spain?

Curioso de verdad: Los españoles negando nuestra identidad y la gente de otros paises aplaudiendo nuestra cultura. Tendrán miedo de que España se deshaga?

  • basques vs gypsies. romano zakono forever. I curse everything from your stupid berets to your whale song language to your funny ball game. just kidding. gitanos like basques.

  • basque are descends man of neanderthal

  • @russianmusclegod we are running out of room for russian prostitutes in new york city please stop sending them!!!!

  • They seem pretty fucking sound to me.

  • there neandethals apparently

  • @englandareus you spell like a neanderthal.

  • Comment removed

  • They have Spanish accent therefore they are Spanish people. And that guy is a such of moaner!

  • @vitu69 You clearly didn´t understand anything.

    Try again simple- minded!

  • ¿Cual es el titulo de las canciones que cantan en el documental?

  • aupa gu ta gure kultura!

  • I'M LEARNING BASQUE!! it's super fun, and to put things a little bit into perspective, i'm an asian-american 16 year old. i love languages! and basque culture seems interesting by nature of what it is... basque country is a unique "island" in vastly indo-european europe... something unique, it seems. i don't know much about the culture yet, but i'm going to have to find out more as i continue learning the language!! i'm excited! the website i'm using really makes it fun.

  • @phr4nk3rd00d13

    What website are you using?

I´m Basque and it´s great to hear that a 16 year old asian-american is studying Basque out of interest! Zorionak! Laister arte!

  • @phr4nk3rd00d13 what website are you using?

  • @rocketshipToTheArtic i'm only using a very very basic one right now. it can be found on ikindalikelanguages (.) com. after i finish that rudimentary course, i plan on searching for more material. however, i feel i need to push back my ambitions for basque and finish my italian learning first. i'm too scatterbrained in language learning.

  • @phr4nk3rd00d13 I am a social worker. At my job I have counciled asian american males that have great jobs but are 27 and still virgins because they dont learn to socialize when they are teenagers. Many of these guys have high paying jobs too. But they go home and play videogames, rarely make many friends. Sometimes its because of strict parents and alot of theese guys end up at top notch colleges. The point im making is you need to get out there and learn to make friends before its too late.

  • @SummernlightningUSA :S it was a bit atypical of me to point out my race but really i just wanted to emphasise the globalisation that is occurring with the internet and really, in a way, i considered it rather novel... whatever though. i understand the point you're making but really... :S the stereotype is just a stereotype... of course, it came about for a reason and it's true in many circumstances. but not always. i don't even like video games for one... two, my parents

  • @SummernlightningUSA (cont.) are stricter perhaps than typical white parents, but not "too strict" in most cases. i don't work my ass off in school. that's basically heavily due to my unique sociopolitical views... i'm heavily libertarian and i disagree with many concepts that schooling and education involves itself in. but i do manage to make good grades (over 4.0 in weighted gpa). i happen to be very introverted but i do keep a circle of close friends. and i am not really

  • Hey, I enjoyed listening to Basque, and as a Scotsman, respect the age of your heritage, as Scotland is one of the last cultural identies of Celtic. Here, we call the pre-celtic people that lived here, "Picts" who were probobly related to the Basques, and we still have stone circles made by them and place/personal names.

  • @xWHITExEAGLEx Gaelic (Celtic) people have lived continuously in Scotland and Ireland for 2500 years, whereas Basque is more like 10,000 years. So we both survived latin :P

  • @xWHITExEAGLEx

All the peoples that invaded England also invaded Scotland, Highland Scottish are Norse lowland Saxon, no Celts in Scotland not even a Celtic Culture it's a Scandinavian Saxon one, people crossing the land bridge settled in England first then spread out eventually reaching Scotland, so Scotland wasn't the first, DNA tells us if your grandfather was born in England you have a 75% chance of being descended from hunter gatherers who came here just after the last iceage

  • @hetrodoxly No. After the last ice age 10,000 years ago the British Isles were settled by hunter gatherers "beaker people", then they were also settled by the bronze age Celts 2500-3000 years ago, Gaelic tribes on Ireland and Brythonic tribes on the Mainland. The Romans conquered the area that is now England ~1800 years ago. Some Gaelic peoples took over the Western part of Scotland, mainly the islands. They were good at sea/pirating the Romans (Scot is latin for pirate or scotti - to plunder).

  • @xWHITExEAGLEx These Gaelic peoples, Dalriata, eventually got control over all the remaining Brythonic (Pictic) lands to the east and the country was now called Alba (Scotland). Scandinavians had taken over Shetland and some of the other western isles but we eventually kicked them out. Meanwhile Roman England got conquered and invaded by Anglo-Saxons and Scandinavian/French Normans. Scotland captured some of the Anglo-Saxon northumbria so we have some Saxon in the lowlands yes.

  • @xWHITExEAGLEx So you were wrong in saying that all the people that invaded England also invaded Scotland. The Saxons never got much farther than the River Tweed and the Scandinavians never got more than a few Islands and the far north. Most of the country remained Celtic. All the Scottish kings and queens down the royal bloodline traced their ancestry from Celtic McAlpin and David I, even the British Queen now is directly decended from them through James VI.

  • @xWHITExEAGLEx

Normans also invaded Scotland, Bruce was a minor Norman knight, actually you had one more invader than England, The English themselves the most common surnames in Scotland are English or Scandinavian, if you want to believe in a Johnny Come lately Celtic invasion do so but my DNA is that of the original hunter-gatherers who came here before the Celts had left Asia.

  • @hetrodoxly The Normans did invade in 1072 and our king submitted, Normans migrated here and married into noble and royal families and set up their own noble families, however we still ruled ourselves and later on we cut any ties of owing allegiance to England (Scottish Wars of Independence). My DNA is the same/simmilar, most Britons are decended primarily from those hunter gatherers, the same as Basques. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?

  • @hetrodoxly Robert the Bruce; his mother was as Scottish as they came, from an old Galloway family (Celtic/Gaelic). His father was born in Scotland, with Scot/Norman heritage, as was he, and he could speak Gaelic fluently. He claimed the Scottish throne as a fourth great-grandson of David I of Scotland.

  • @xWHITExEAGLEx Your posts are a jumble of Archaeology, old defunct archaeology and speculation, Lowland spoke Scots, Lallans a form of Saxon, Scotland is abound with scandinavian place names there's some evidence that when "Celtic" was being invented in the 18th-19th century there was attempts to change place names, Romans invaded Scotland found nothing worth taking or no one worth taxing so built walls to mark the northern boundary of their empire.

  • @hetrodoxly I've never taken a history course (I didn't fancy the topics they did at school and I did science) but I've always been very interested in it and read about it, so sorry if my posts are jumbled. The romans built the walls because we were constantly raiding them, they couldn't subjugate the northern clans, they tried twice, Agricola and Severus, they also did it as a symbol of their power "look we can build a massive wall".

  • @hetrodoxly

dna scientists say to the scottish are decended from people who came to the british isles from spain in the mesolithic period. they are the same dna as the irish welsh and basqes. some vikings settled in the orkny islands but no scandinavians or saxons ever made any impression on scotland. there are no scientists who would take your claims seriously. do your research before you make up false information.

  • @SummernlightningUSA I am Scottish, and my clan fervently believes in a Viking heritage.

  • @SummernlightningUSA the vast majority are R1b, as am I, and that marker can be found everywhere from Spain to Norway, Ireland to Turkey, so the norsemen and saxons that may have settled probably weren't to different from the Natives in the first place, making it almost impossible to say with certainty that all Scots descend from this tribe or that.

  • @mothman64 there are scots with predominatly viking dna, and they are mostly in places like the far north islands, or sutherland, the isle of man is a bit of a split between viking and earlier "celtic" intermarrage. The majority of scots seem to be largely decended from pictish celts, and us irish who taught your ancestors gaelic and gave you that pesky clan system. There is a bbc documentary called blood of the vikings that will tell you exactly where the vikings hung around in scotland

  • @SummernlightningUSA My clan is Clan Maclean, they are from the Isle of Mull. I watched that show a while back. The Picts may not have been entirely Celtic, but no one can say for sure, seeing as none of us were there. Maybe if you believe in reincarnation. I am well aware of the history of my ancestors nation.

  • @mothman64 They contributed to the Galloglaigh, witch means foreign Gael, I.E they claim to be descendent's of Norsemen who were left behind from the Viking age and 13th century failed Norwegian invasion of Scotland.

  • @mothman64 But I also descend from Picts so wether they were Norsemen or not doesn't matter to me, they were all Scots ;). The Clan system was Scotland's biggest fallacy, pesky indeed!

  • Comment removed

  • @MyNodrama The Klu Klux Klan isn't even worth mentioning.

  • @mothman64 Darlin I was trying to bring some levity on here. It was getting way too serious.

  • @mothman64 | the 'pictish' ('pridish' in their own tongue) were a mixture of I2 cro-magnons and R1b 'kymric' (british) celts, same as the rest of britain.

  • @SummernlightningUSA The original Scots came from Ireland.

  • @MyNodrama | ONLY THE GAELIC SPEAKING SCOTS CAME FROM IRELAND AND THEY FORCED OUT THE NATIVE KYMRIC SCOTS (THE PICTISH) FROM THE WEST OF SCOTLAND!!!!!! IRISH GAELS IN SCOTLAND ARE JUST THAT!!!!!! IRISH GAELS!!!!!! NO BETTER THAN THE FUCKING ROMANS OR THE NORWEGIANS OR THE ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!

  • @dljc1979 Interesting information. Why are you angry?

  • @MyNodrama | why is anyone on youtube angry?! cos other people are dumb... but don't take my word for it, everyone can learn for themselves...

  • @dljc1979 First of all you posted in all Caps & you used exclaimation marks. That's anger. You don't know me. Whose dumb? Chill out.

  • @mothman64 | it is certain that R1b was everywhere in the west/centre of europe at that time and that norwegians peoples would have had a degree of R1b population amongst them however the main difference here is the cro-magnon element of these populations, the british would have been strictly I2 and the norwegians strictly I1 so norwegian I1 peoples were going into lands they were definitely not native to by invading britain and ireland.

  • @mothman64 | same with the tribes from denmark/nw germany/the netherlands (jutes, anglos, saxons, frisians) invading what is now england.

  • @SummernlightningUSA

Another know-it-all yank (plastic jock) you haven't got a clue, scientists told me.

  • @hetrodoxly hmmm. I detect I hit a nerve. dude cmon. dont lash out at me because some girl dident text you back. Im a happy guy with an awesome girlfriend and I learned that being successful with women has nothing to do with being a jock or an asshole. Its about developing your confidence and masculenity not staying inside playing call of duty on saturday night when some other bloke is chatting up that girl you were too shy to talk to. go to davideangelo. com if you like, cheers.

  • @SummernlightningUSA I know you were defending me but he means Jock as in Scottish person. In America I think they call people who play sports Jocks?

  • No, science says that R1B is young in the Basque country and in Europe in general. it was the Indo-European invaders, because of population explosion, caused by agriculture around the Black Sea, and this is the theory of Kurgan. And I think that the Basque language is young and was invented by the Basques to the Romans or the Franks and the Muslims could not understand them, and they keep the language until today

  • @xWHITExEAGLEx

white eagle? what are you a skin or something? after the nazis bombed the shit out of scotland in ww2 I certainly wouldent be getting any swatztica tatoos on my arse if I was scottish

  • @SummernlightningUSA 1: I hardly understand what you're on about "are you a skin"????? 2: The Nazis didn't bomb the shit out of us, we were hardly touched in the grand scheme of things, it was London that really got it. 3: I don't have anything to do with "swatztica"s. 4: my name is White Eagle because I have white hair and like birds.......

  • @FranSoldier oleeee tu! soy vasca jaja! :P

  • Genetic studies have shown that most Basque people belong to Haplogroup R1b, most Spaniards also belong to this Haplogroup. So for him to say that they're not latins, it's simply racism and arrogance, they're exactly the same as most Spaniards. Estudios geneticos han comprobado que la mayoria de los Vascos, pertenecen a Haplogroup R1b, igual que la mayoria de los Espanoles, el decir que no son latinos o diferentes, es simple racismo e ignoracia.

  • @MrNeoGay "Latin" in this context most likely refers to a cultural linguistic identiy. Meaning of Roman or Latin-speaking cultural heritage. In that frame the Basques are certainly not "Latin" regardless of genetic similarities with other Iberians who adopted Roman culture.

  • @MrNeoGay Mutil, ixilduai. Mila gauza esan dira orain arte... horregatik esaten da misterioa! Gainera, naiz eta extrapolatu ezin, badira ikerketa batzuk zure aipamena ezeztatzen dutena.

  • Mi pregunta fue que si el apellido Elizarraraz o Vazquez viene del pais Basque? Gracias.

  • I'm sorry, but there is no mystery of the basques. Basques are simply are one of the caucasian peoples. their language is a fine example that their origin come from the caucasus.. mostly related to the todays georgians

  • freedom for my land, freedom for the basque country!!

  • AUNQUE HAY QUE AÑADIR QUE SON MUY BUENAS PERSONAS

  • EL PAIS VASCO ES ESPAÑA COMO BIEN DECIA UNAMUNO.

  • @cocotena No existe la identidad vasco y español. Edo Euskalduna edo arrotza.

  • basques are caucasian nation

  • Respect to the Basques from England.

  • @ajwills27 Fuck England. Cymru am byth!

  • @RapperWar Agreed!

  • @Bloodmoon17 Welsh?

  • @RapperWar American Indian. I support Cymru, however. I see the English as a bunch of inbred imperialist swine.

  • @Bloodmoon17 Oh.....what tribe?

  • @RapperWar Apache.

  • @Bloodmoon17 Oh,,, badass!!!

  • @RapperWar I suppose so, yes. Haha!

  • @Bloodmoon17 Do u live in AZ?

  • @RapperWar I did, yes. In San Carlos.

  • @Bloodmoon17 I live near Tucson

  • @Bloodmoon17

Why do you single out the English?

  • @hetrodoxly Why not? =P I just don't like them. For rather personal reasons regarding experiences, history, and modern-day politics.

  • beraz, izarrekin zen i checking negatibo odol mota (delako mine) eta vids da batzuk said Euskal duina RH neg ohikoa da. beraz, egiaztatu i vid honetan, pertsona horiek abesten eztabaida ikusteko. I do that quite often myself :D My kids for the longest time talked about my chinese singing pizza. It's like what I do when I'm cooking or cleaning and need it concentrate. I'll just start singing my words and rhyming them improv.. I am too weird....

  • I'm very proud of having a Basque surname (Gurpegi) :D

  • The ancient sumerian god Enki (Greek god Poseidon) is attributed to have created the basques. This is shown by the fact that the basque have a high prevalence for Rhesus - factor blood (Non-monkey blood) and this blood is the blood line of the British royal family. Even their personal chariot is adorned with two Golden Poseidens.

  • @MSCompuServ For your information most of the English have Spanish blood like or not and the Irish are descendents of the Basque but they are so ignorant that they don't even know it.

  • Half the population of the Basques have Rhesus Negative blood , which is very rare in the rest of the world. Im Rhesus Negative too, there are lots of theories about where it came from , but it is just as mysterious as the origins of the Basques.

  • im proud to have Basque blood rushing through my veins!

  • @MegaCaracolillo what is that in english please? thor smashed stone etc

  • The basque people are not megalithic, they are modern culture, Unless they show us megalithic ruins or petrogrliphs, etc. However, the basque have something that noone notices. Enter Bolivia. What does this have to do with the basque.. Plenty, Bolivia a south american State that was named after Simon Bolivar. Simon's parents were basque and he fought against the Spanish Crown. The basque r not really impressive. See the Puma Punku & tiwanacu if u want to be impressed by ancient people.

  • @HelmetVanga ????

  • Euskalduna naiz, eta izateaz arro nago

I'm basque, and I'm so proud

  • @ekaitza13 i'm ainu, and i'm so proud too.

  • @toki1221 you ainu ? that's cool =)

  • The moors washed the basqeds ya smelly cunts lol

  • @cathbhar1

I was going to troll you my man. But I saw your page and had second thoughts. Peace to you sir.

  • Go back to Atlantis, you Basque scum.

  • Basque pride Orgullo vasco from Mexico

  • @xza14 Orgullo Vasco from USA

  • An excellent book to read is 'The Basque History of the World' by Mark Kurlansky.

  • It really is quite striking, border line unnerving, to see the similarity between the dance & sports of the Basques & the Gaelic Irish.

It has since been proven through D.N.A. finds through the Y Chromosome that the Irish hold between 80-92% similarity with these people, it is the highest similarity in Europe, it really is amazing to know where our people came from finally.

  • To nelsonvandyk : Why do we (the Basques) "have to recognize the Spanish government"? Because you (and others) say so? We would prefer to decide for ourselves what we are and how we want to live. People voting and deciding for themselves is a basic pillar of democracy that unfortunately is denied to us by Spain and France. As an old Basque proverb says: "Before God was God and bouders were boulders, the Basques were already Basques".

  • @ilialaful by looking at you basques half of you are nordic and the other half latin

  • @NORMANGODS There wasn't nordic or latin people when we started living here. Our language, euskera, it´s said to be 20.000 year old (look it up if u dont believe me).

  • @ilialaful Para nelsonvandyk: ¿Por qué (los vascos) "Hay que reconocer que el gobierno español"? Debido a que usted (y otros) lo dice? Nosotros preferiríamos que decidir por nosotros mismos lo que somos y
