@urerebobu2 Good lot of British, German and American custom makers can do big bore rifles...or go to gun shows, cased big bores come up regularly but expect to pay over $10k.
Germany still is fighting for world Control. It failed twice openly waging war but never gave up the idea.Today it is using snitchers to infiltrate foreign countries and manipulate their population and their government.Preferably against each other. And they infiltrate the economy of other states. They are using brainwashing and steering techniques abroad to get rid of people not being pro german. As somebody said:We dont have nukes,we have to do this.Thumbs up if you want the BND to stop torturing
@drewnickel - What u talkin bout? a foot pound is a measure of torque dude. put a 1 foot long wrench on a nut, and hang a 10 lb weight on the end. voila: 10 foot pounds. I believe you're confusing torque with force (massXacceleration).
@brickdawallz when your standing firm on ground it's recoil is managable, but yes if you were in the air with nothing to support you, the 150lbs of recoil energy would more than likely make you land on your back.
@hilers72652 recoil is measured in foot pounds. foot pounds are a bit different than normal pounds. a foot pound is the energy given off when you drop a 1lb lead ball from 1 foot, the gun weighs 22lbs so the recoil is like dropping that gun on your shoulder from about 7ft in the air. it's alot of force, but hey, I shot a rifle with nearly 180lbs of recoil when I weighed 145lbs, it's managable.
@Talshet Its the size of the barrel measured by how many lead balls that size it take to make a pound. So a lead ball the size of the barrel on a 2 bore/gauge weighs 1/2 LB, a 4 bore/gauge weighs 1/4 LB, and a 12 bore/gauge 1/12 LB.
how much that that little baby cost? the rounds gotta be expensive as hell too! someone had a box of 25 4 ga shells from Eley on AA a while back and starting bid was $400!
arent the shells like 1 inch? thats one big fuckin bullet. wat are you tryin to kill with this thing? maybe they named it the t rex because it could easily take down a t rex. idk lol
it could kill a brontasaurus with that kind of energy/bullet size. and the bullet's technically not an inch, but it's very close at .995" and even better, the shells are about 4" long. if you want one then just get a job as an anesthesiologist and try to get promoted till you get to 500,000/year, that way you can spend about 85,000 on the gun and the other several thousand on it's beastly ammunition
it is pretty practical cause when you can't handle the recoil of heavier game stoppers and can't get a headshot, this thing makes up for it with haveing such a massive bullet so it can kill with a gut shot on an elephant, and it still has less recoil than most other elephant guns, other than the 458 win mag and 460 weatherby mag, but it still hits about 5 times as hard as those
hell no, get a 2-bore, the same recoil, if not less, but more than twice the power. or if you like guns that kick, get a 950 jdj, it's about 5 times as powerful
Drew your statement makes no sense, a 2 gauge is twice as powerful as the the 4 gauge, yet it has the same recoil or maybe even less. That makes absolutely no sense, newton's third law my friend. Mind explaining your reasoning behind this?
well, a 4-bore fires a 2000gr bullet at 1600fps through a 15 to 26 pound gun, a 2-bore fires a 2600 to 3500gr bullet at 1,000 to 1,300fps through a 20 to 45 pound gun. so even though it's bigger, it has less recoil, plus the lower speed of the 2-bore means slower recoil, unlike the "punch" you get from a 4-bore, a 2-bore just shoves you back really forcefully, just lean forward and a 2-bore is nothing, but a 4-bore takes practice and the right person to master shooting
I understand your reasoning and it's exactly how I thought you would play it, although I don't prefer it. Think about it this way, would you say a .300 Winchester magnum has less recoil than a .22 long rifle because the .300 winchester magnum rifle weighs 1000 pounds? I sure don't, your just playing with the weights. I perceive the 2 BORE has having much more free recoil than the 4 bore, felt recoil one could argue.......
well, weight decreases free recoil energy because past a certain point it's going to lower the recoil rather than hitting harder, and if a 300 win mag weighed 1000lbs, that would be overkill for weight, I mean a .22lr has .45lbs of free recoil energy, in an average 7lbs gun, while a 300 win mag in a 10lbs gun has like 30, in a 1000lbs gun it would have more like 0.05lbs, or less recoil than an average bb gun
are you a redneck or somthing. the 3rd law is force comes in pairs so when somthing exerts force on somthing then it exerts the same and opposite force.... so if you punch a brick wall at 50 newtons the wall is going to punch you back and knock you to the ground?? i dont think so.... so think before you say somthing hahaha.
@gunsgalore762 I did think before what I said, and I understand what I'm saying. If you have a rifle with muzzle energy capability of 5,000 ft/lbs, it's going to have much more recoil than a rifle with say 1,000 ft/lbs. I understand it doesn't push back with the same force, but it will result in a recoil increase.
a 54 caliber black powder is .54" projectile which I have so learn about what your talking about before you comment on it. A 45 ( aka 45 caliber ) is .45 inches. can I explain it any more for you simple folk ( I would figure folk would be the proper term but people of that time would know what caliber means )
no. caliber is different its not like usualy numbers where .100 = 0.1. whith caliber the zero's behind the decimal place actually mean the bullets blahblah is larger
I remember being in the military seeing a gun of equivalent caliber. 1 Inch is 30 Millimeters. If not then very close. I know a 12 Gauge is around 20 Millimeters.
Yeah, everyone knows that. Thanks. BTW, whenever you someone refering to a tractor as a "cat"...there's a good chance they know it's a tractor, people just like to refer to things by popular nick-names.
@LWRCftw if you want bigger why not use a rifle that is actually intended for hunting which this rifle is try something like a .600nitro or a .700nitro
@BAMFplatypus the .950jdj is powerful, but ultimately it's a rangequeen, it has no use off of a lead sled, and has no use in the field. it's over 100lbs, so it's very impractical to carry, and it's bullet weighs half a pound and will likely carry on for several miles at that speed, at least 3.
how much did it cost and where can i order one. how much gunpowder in a load because u have to load ur own i do not know where to get bullets for a gun like that.
You must have a shitload of money to I assume own that 100 gran rifle? One lucky man you are. I figure you're a big game hunter as honestly.. by just looking at you, it shows. Not meaning that in a bad way.
