@BiggNEO You buy the game, this is true, money to the team that made the game. But MMOs usually have content added continuously that people spend time and money creating, things that expand upon your game experience. Why should you get all that extra post-release content for free?
@DarkSigiles: You shouldn't get it for free. It should be released as DLC. Make it an option for you to buy it. Like that game BURNOUT PARADISE. It had 2 or 3 diff DLCs attatched to it and if you didn't buy it, you could not go into that part of the game. You could see it ( visually in the game ), but you could not gain access to the expanded area. Note that DLC is not the same as a monthly fee ( like with an MMO ).

It will probably be advantages to owning the DLC and people might feel pressured to buy the DLC to keep up with others. But of course this is a matter of opinion, I myself prefer the monthly fee solution.

Generally MMO's have only been on PC because of the keyboard/mouse thing and most consoles probably couldn't handle them. However, there is nothing about a MMO that makes it PC specific I believe a PS3 could quite easily handle an MMO.

But, the problem IS: Mass Effect has a short history. KOTOR 1 has more story then ME... AND Kotor 2 put you with more than 30 hours of game... u put all that together... its too many hours in front of a PC. Now, u imagine KOTOR 3,4,5,6,7,8,9... It will be months of hours... So, they need to work fast AND good.

It would only be too big for xbox and wii.. Seeing how ps3 can handle blu-ray discs.. Which can hold up to 25gig each and 200gig on test plates..
