Technologically, the current show is superior to this one. Plus, Roger isn't as miserable as he was back then, so today he actually interacts with fans and doesn't wear these gigantic headphones.

However, the current show is not Pink Floyd. That's a big drawback.

Therefore, I cannot pick between this show and the current tour.

I was at Roger Waters: The Wall concert in Toronto last night and it was breathtaking. The visuals were beautiful and intimate as you'd expect but also eerily relevant to the current political climate. The girlfriend inflatable that came during this song was just crazy. If you were lucky enough to get tickets to this this concert, you'll have the time of your life!!!!

The reason they didn't release it in the first place was because the quality of the video came out badly. Maybe if Roger releases a DVD of the current tour, he can include the 1980 show as a special bonus. But on its own, I don't think they could get away with charging $30 for a poor quality video.

There is a difference between "great music" and "great music that truly means something". The Wall is not only the best Pink Floyd album, it is one of the top ten albums ever made in my opinion. Dark Side is timeless perfection and a joy to listen to, but it doesnt have the soul and raw emotion in its totality that a single song off The Wall possesses. Dark Side is a Jackson Pollock painting...The Wall is the same thing done in the artist's own blood.

We all have our own walls, and to see a story we all can relate to was more of an experience than a concert. The music we all love is secondary to the tears shed during 'Bring the Boys Back Home.' All Pink Floyd albums have their differences. That's why they appeal to almost anyone (though it should be everybody). All albums sound unique and seperate from eachother in rhythm. Not every band can say that and still succeed philosophically and emotionally, despite Roger being a bit of a hog ( no offense)

I love all members the same. Without one all would fall. That also includes Barret. He started the band. He is as much important as all the rest

Not correct. He "quit" after The Final Cut, which came directly after The Wall, and I believe he didn't quit but was rather fired because of his inacceptable controlling behaviour, including how he fired Wright for not contributing to the writing. Gilmour has also stated "that the music no longer was about music but about political criticism accompanied by a few chords to fill up the album", or something like that. Waters even sued the band for continuing with the name Pink Floyd, but failed.
