  • Their 2nd album was the better.

  • this has never left my main rotation since it came out

  • SKA. Oh yeah baby ! Check them beats.

  • Album number one, standard 2 tone fare, Prince Buster covers and a few ska by numbers tunes, Album number two, Work of genius ( and a good sized bit of Norman Watt Roy).

  • Great song. Terrible video.

  • I cannot wait to see The Selecter alongside Ska Cubano live on the 15th January in London!!

  • best album was 2 much pressure, jesus, too many pop farts on here,i love the selecter, not selector, bit popishy

  • aah..ultimate version. Too bad this wasn't on US TV back then.

  • Brilliant clip. Too often, bands get a bit too carried away when doing live gigs, and can't bring any soft/hard contrast to the performance. Not here! They bring it all. One of the best tunes of the 80's and certainly of the 2tone bunch.

  • she was sexy in the 80s and fuck shes sexy now

  • CTB album was very underrated, great production great songs, cant say the same for more specials, that first album was just classic, the jap import had gangsters on as well.

  • This song evokes such a mood

  • This is a song about unrequited love and suicide.

  • when i was a youngster i broke up with this hot chick which i regretted doing, and this song reminded me of her voice. this was the first ska song i heard and i loved it, ironically my friend got shot twice with a semi-auto shotgun a few blocks away when i was listening to this song. thankfully he didnt die. celebrate the bullet.

  • yeah right, likely story dream on dreamer

  • can one of you please bring me a beer? I can't be arsed to get up and grab one myself.

  • There you got mate nice cold strongbow

  • champion! tnx! :)

  • Pauline looks amazing here.

  • Oh dear Zer770 what a silly thing to say about a multiracial band.

  • the music-industry-propaganda-agenda in the 80's and 90's was ska & skinhead = nazi !

therefore there was no place for bands like the selecter.

  • you stupid ignorant twat

  • Maybe you're right but Pauline followed a carrer on Theater.

  • even though it was the exact opposite!

  • amazing

  • My first Ska band: The Specials. My all time favourite Ska band, The Selecter! This takes me back. Great album; wish I had seen them live.

    Ska Rules!

  • Always loved this to bits, and the rest of the album, never understood why they never really hit the big time, well on par with the Specials musically, Lyrically I adore Selector

  • Great band and a great song. As a young skin in Ireland it always reminded me of the bad stuff in Northern Ireland.

  • It's a song about unrequited love and suicide.

  • Selector, Never made the big time as much as they should have,Loved the first LP (as we called it in "the day") 2nd one far superior, still an all time favourite, Was luckey enough to see them live on several, occasions,

  • A very impressive song.

  • My fav.. Selecter song............. Saw Ms Black live recently and she's lookin' fit as fook......... The album version is 100 times better so please hear............. NB11

  • SKA rules!

  • thank you for posting this, it was always my favourite, shame its a poor quality

  • this is business!

  • Second album is still a total masterpiece after 28 years.

  • Oh yes, why don't other people hear what we hear? Pauline was always my favourite throughout my teenage years, lucky enough to see them when I was !6

  • AWESOME!!

  • One of my favourite bands)

  • Great drumming!

  • i like this version of the song a lot better than the album one

  • great! wish her vocals were louder

  • a great rhytm and ambience .

it touches the senses smoothly and gives me a

    blur into magic

  • of everything two tone this album is the only one i didn't outgrow or get bored with .. it's still on of my favorites.. this song in particular.. still have the albums.. autographed by pauline in 1991

  • I agree with you, it was much deeper and soulful than most of the stuff in these times

  • I remember buyin the 'celabrate the bullet' album at the time and at first wasnt that impressed, didnt like the cover and thought it was too slow compared to the 'Too much pressure' album , but once I listend to it a few times I loved it. Top Band!

  • I thought the same, also with More Specials, and The beat wha'ppen, very different style these follow up albums, but the more I listened to them, the more I liked them!

  • This song and this band are extremely underrated. Even many self-proclaimed ska enthusiasts are unaware of what an amazing and influential band The Selecter really were/are.

  • I am so glad I discovered their second album, none of the tracks on that album are on any of those 2 tone/ska revival compalations I don't know why.

  • one a my all time faves...love how they often changed up their arrangements drastically and always pulled it off.

  • I remember the official video of this song, showing a vintage television......

  • Got it on vinyl.

  • Fantastic long lost under appreciated band! Brilliant track - no chart band now would even dare to go where the Selecter went and we're all poorer for it.

  • agree

  • awesome - lost vagueness of brilliance......

  • dang i had to fav it with shit sound quality, cheers anyway, any chance of fixing sound quality?

  • Celebrate the bullet!

  • Haven't seen this since it was first showed in '81.....they did Washed Up and Left For Dead as well, i remember.....a lost classic....and Pauline looks lovely.

  • Such a great band. Love this song.

  • Cracking Vid..... loved this song back in the day.... still do

  • Great performance!
