I was there opening day for a band competition! We were actually on the pirate ship in this vid. We fit most of the band(we're only 55 strong) and held a screaming contest on the boat to get us pumped up for the award ceremony.
I absolutely LOVE the noises the Raptor makes... going down the first hill. Just reminds me of bad I want to ride it, and can't wait til it opens this season.
Thirteenth- Forgot something? No need to worry- They've got all of your needs in the park. From sunglasses to hats, to sunscreen to even clothing items, even little things. But watch out- Prices might scare you. Fourteenth- Have fun! This is the best park in the world, so enjoy it. :)
Ninth- Spending money for the kids would be great, too (Shh, there's multiple arcades.) Tenth- Don't worry about the shows and entertainment; there's absolutely no cost. The only expenses you have to worry about are food and shop items. Eleventh- Lines are long on weekends, and they're cut in half during the week, but the park still does have a quite a few people in it. Twelfth- In Sandusky, during the summer, when it rains, it pours. Long pants, rain jackets, and ponchos are necessary. (Next)
Fifth- This is a warning- Prices for food and goods are HIGH. I suggest bringing a few hundred dollars. They also raised prices there this year; I looked on their website. Sixth- Take advantage of the lockers there if you have a lot to take in the park; they're not expensive, and some of them you can re-use. Seventh- You have to speak clearly to the employees, some of them are foreign, from all different countries. Eighth- Bring a towel, bathing suit/trunks. You will be glad you did. (Next)
Third- They do check baggage at the gate, especially large bags. Be careful what you bring, they have been known to confiscate items or tell you to take them to your room or back to your car. Fourth- As I said in the second comment; they will let you in the park before 10 (they start admitting guests at around 9:30). It is really smart to have a Platinum Pass, if you're going to the park more than once, because you get free parking, early admission to the entire park, and free Soak City. (Next)

Info on Cedar Point, in case you're planning a trip; I live here in Sandusky; I'm there almost every other week: DO NOT take US 250's bridge on the weekends or on Fridays, you will be in HEAVY traffic, it's only one lane on the bridge for Cedar Point. I suggest taking US 250, then turn onto E Perkins Ave, follow E Perkins Ave, turn onto Remington Ave, follow Remington Ave, turn left onto Cleveland Road, and follow until you see Cedar Point Drive. The first time i went i rode my first roller coaster which was the raptor. It was supposed to be a 2 hour wait but they shut it down for like 1 minute and 80% of the people had already left. It only took 10 minutes to walk through the line. The whole 10 minutes was just walking without stopping.
I want opinions, should I make a small modle of raptor (4 feet) and magnum xl 200 out of knex or should I make an exact replica of maverick out of knex? Please reply!!!!!!!

@sdlax12 The lines are usually shorter on weekdays. In June, I waited less than an hour for MF. In July & August, even weekday crowds are large and those lines can be 2 hours or more. Sunday is sometimes a better day to visit during summer. Just my experience.
I went to Cedar Point on my birthday May 19. I'm 14 so I had school but my mom took me anyway since it was my birthday. It was awesome because the lines were short. I waited only a half in hour for Maverick and 25 min. for Raptor. I was lucky with Maverick because they put me in the front seat and about 5 min later when I got in the line for Maverick ALOT of people came into the line so I came at the right time.
@metallicamaster1234 My friends and I rented cottages and a cabin last year. The lakeside cottages are kind of small but nice, especially in the evening. They're pretty expensive though -- whew! And bring bug spray.
@robertpattzluhver If you can, arrive early and stay late. I always head for Millennium Force first. It's a great adrenaline rush to start the day! On the way there, if I see that Raptor or Blue Streak have short lines, I ride them. Try to hit Maverick, Magnum and Gemini. Dragster is great, but if the line is over an hour you may want to skip it. Mean Streak rarely has a line but it's a rough ride. I like it. Hope that helps and I hope you have a good time!!

@jdybata Thanks! I use MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 14 and save videos as Windows Media files. I lose some quality too, but it's not too bad. I like using MAGIX because it's fun & easy to use & packed with cool features. If you can learn multi-track editing there's nothing you can't do. Other than that, take time to play around with all of your software's features, and try combinations of features. Make a short Rock on the Range montage!

@cbull49 I've seen some videos of it and it looks intense. The first hill reminded me of Millennium Force, then it turned into Maverick with all the twisting from side to side. I visited KD a few years ago and plan to go again soon.

Chaos is one of my favorite non-coaster rides, among a few of them. As their saying goes "Welcome To America's Rocken Rollercoast". I have that stuck in my head from when I worked there. LOL. Still kinda sad that they took out Demon Drop. :o{
@lost164 If you're going this summer it'll probably be busy, especially if the weather is nice. There are still plenty of things to do if the lines on the major rides are long. If you stay until closing, the lines are shorter late in the day. Other than that, bring a jacket, pack some snacks and Tylenol, and have fun!!
I'm going to Cedar Point tomorrow, I sure hope the lines are not too bad. Rule of thumb I think to avoid huge crowds....go early or late in the season and avoid weekends at all costs. What are your thoughts?

@TopThrillCedarPoint As far as I know, you're allowed to film at the park as long as you're not in people's way and not filming while riding (with a few exceptions.) I asked if it was OK to film aboard Paddlewheel Excursions and they said it was allowed. The train and Space Spiral are OK too. Sky Ride and Giant Wheel, not so sure, but I don't do anything stupid.
