I'm just curious, if I remember correctly (mean no offense to anyone!!) but was this a benefit concert or something to do with social reforms? It seems the bio mentioned that.
This song was the highlight of his early 80's shows for me. Not as flashy as most of the songs he played but the grunge level is over the top. I am hard of hearing in my right ear from the dozens of shows I saw him play in Dallas standing by the stage in front of the amps. Seeing him play all night for free or 3 dollars. Those were the days my friend.
@MsSmokestack Yep. 1983. Saw he and Double Trouble in Normal Illinois for $1.50. Where have all the Greats and the good times gone. Go see a show these days and it costs you $25- to park. Thanks for the post.

I am a latecomer to the Stevie Ray Vaughn Fan Club.
He knocked out every song he played.
What a force of nature.
He must have been a blast live!

@MsSmokestack
Hi there
I agree 100% with you about this SRV song. Bluesy AND grungy at the same time.
As you say so beautifully and succinctly, "THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND". I'm 59 and I know what you mean. Well said, my friend.
