  • First, only and ever man who gave me the thrills all over

  • GOD BLESS THE CHEROKEE NATION. AMEN

  • Just a couple days after this and he had a drug collapse

  • I am a latecomer to the Stevie Ray Vaughn Fan Club.

He knocked out every song he played.

    What a force of nature.

He must have been a blast live!

  • Yes there Is live footage of SRV in the headdress

I have an old copy of a VHS tape.

    It is live in Japan.

Don't know if it is still readily available but it should be .

  • Is there any live footage of Stevie playing with the Indian headdress? I've been looking but can't find it anywhere? Help anyone?

  • You're hard of hearing in one ear because you saw SRV play live?...Wow! I wish I was you!!!

  • never loved another man so much. SRV rests in the stars up above. need to name a constellation aftr him

  • completely badass my band's gonna cover this

  • I'm just curious, if I remember correctly (mean no offense to anyone!!) but was this a benefit concert or something to do with social reforms? It seems the bio mentioned that.

  • thats a badass hat man

  • This song was the highlight of his early 80's shows for me. Not as flashy as most of the songs he played but the grunge level is over the top. I am hard of hearing in my right ear from the dozens of shows I saw him play in Dallas standing by the stage in front of the amps. Seeing him play all night for free or 3 dollars. Those were the days my friend.

  • @MsSmokestack my friend u were blessed to see that

  • @MsSmokestack

    Hi there

I agree 100% with you about this SRV song. Bluesy AND grungy at the same time.

As you say so beautifully and succinctly, "THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND". I'm 59 and I know what you mean. Well said, my friend.

  • @MsSmokestack I can imagin.

I am afraid that I am going deaf from listening to his music wayyyy to loud, but hey, thats the way he would have wanted me to listen to it. . .

  • @MsSmokestack im 15 years old and i already have tinnitus on my right ear, from hearing to loud music on my headphones

  • @MsSmokestack May I hate you now?

  • @MsSmokestack Yep. 1983. Saw he and Double Trouble in Normal Illinois for $1.50. Where have all the Greats and the good times gone. Go see a show these days and it costs you $25- to park. Thanks for the post.

  • Thanks

    SJG
