  • bullets bouncing of the leaves ?

  • @19x130mm

What happens with tracers is that the filament gets separated from the actual bullet.

  • see the weird thing is that the kid goes woah at a lefty shooter....

  • Пуля через несколько сотен метров сильно вилять начинает(уходит в сторону). Как это объяснить?

  • Shut your kid up, please. "WHAOHAOHAOHAOAUHAOHAOUAAHO!"

  • very interesting. I have never seen this before

  • this is how real men play laser tag...

  • way to shoot right past the house dumbass

  • tracer rounds dont cause fires dumbasses

  • @thejanitorlol tracers absolutely start fires ive seen it happen, if it hasn't rained and the underbrush is dry its guaranteed...

  • @njginz oh well i guess i learned something new ^_^

  • can the tracer not set a fire in the woods you are shooting in?

  • why are people giving thumbs down to the vid? i thought it was exactly what i expected to see. it was cool and informative.

  • it really tells u how fast the 556 bullet is

  • NATO spec for 5.56 is 1:7 twist...

  • so this is where smokey the bear comes from.

  • do the bullets hit the trees when they curve or do they just do that?

  • You should consider hearing protection. Also, that seems to be a 1:14 twist because the heavier loads tend to veer off at a random angle after they reach a good distance out, which does not occur in a 1:7 twist.

  • @jakethewhale dude arer you retarded it was hitiing treees ...read a few more books there arm chair

  • @blackriflex39 Simmer down there, tater tot. Bullets embed into trees, rarely ricochet. PS I own an ar 15 that i gladly shoot from my "arm chair"

  • @jakethewhale i was only stateing that they were bounceing of trees was the couse of them flying of at weird angles.. and your mistaken my old friend bullets do commonly richochet off trees and rarely imbed unless the trees 5 foot wide i challenge you to get tracers and shot out of your arm chair be suprised at where they go...

  • @blackriflex39 Hey there old sport, im not so sure the shot he took at 0:17 looked much like a ricochet ought to, but a mere trifle of disagreement in this forum is no cause for alarm.

  • @jakethewhale ok let me get this right you belive tht the tracers are destablizing is the reason for them acting like that @ 17 im dont know how much more clear i can say this but its not the twist rate which i would bet a silver nickel is 1 in 9 its hitting trees and bounceing around

  • @blackriflex39 So I am probably wrong about the 1:14 twist rate, as his description says he is using 1:9. But you can read for yourself in his description, he says that that tracer rounds become destabilized due to the 1:9 twist rate. Tracer rounds are known to do this in a lower twist barrel, i do not believe that it is because of the trees.

  • 0:05 you know i started coffin

  • Very nice AR-15 you got there

  • at 0:17, the round made a spiral move in the air! Never seen that before... pretty cool!

  • Its Right hand twist 1/7 Read it FM 3-22.9 AIRBORNE(SSG.)

  • What if you hit a squirrel?

  • @shadoza it would probably die

  • Damn that round is flying

  • You are wrong in your comments about 1 in 14 twist for .mil rifles. M16 and M4 varient rifles are 1 in 7 twist. I'm a unit armorer in the Army.

  • @scuds03 Interesting, everything I have been told or read is that the M16/M4 is a 1:14 twist. I was also in the ARMY and have spoke with numerous armorers.

  • @beencaughstealin Almost all M16, M4, M727's have 1:7 or 1:9 twist rates. The majority are 1:7 now to allow the use of the heavier 62gr bullets. If they had 1:14 twist rates the rounds would come out tumbling. Some private gun makers like POF are using 1:8 barrels which can shoot a variety of ammo.

  • @beencaughstealin I double checked when I was in the arms room today. They are all stamped 1/7 on the barrel. Did some reading and its actually an update for shooting M855. Older M series rifles were 1/12 and 1/14

  • @beencaughstealin I believe the original AR-15 had a 1:14 twist, while the M16 and its A1 and A2 variants had a 1:12 twist. The A3 and A4 variants have a 1:7 twist rate.

  • @beencaughstealin 1 in 14 was the early spec, anything 90s onwards should be 1 in 7. This guy certainly didn't put his info across in the most polite way but I think he's right.

  • Depending on the variant you are both right, they used 1:7 and 1:14 and even 1:12 twists on their barrels. Wikipedia that shit I just did :)

  • @beencaughstealin Military only uses 1:7 twist rate in order to stabilize heavier bullets such as the 64gr tracers. You have it backwards,1:7 actually stabilizes the bullets better than the old1:12 twist rate they used from 55gr ammo which the military no longer uses.

  • @beencaughstealin Its Right hand twist 1/7 Read it FM 3-22.9 AIRBORNE(SSG.)

  • @beencaughstealin Maybe the very first variants. Then they were 1:12 to shoot the 55 grain M193, and in the 80s with the M16A2 they specified 1:7 to shoot M856 (tracer variant of the M855).

  • @beencaughstealin Technically you are both right. The M16 original twist ratio was 1 :14 (mdl 601). With the introduction of the Colt 602 it was tightened to a 1:12 ratio. Which did not change until the A2 platform (1:7) due to the new SS109 62gr bullets needing more stability.

  • @beencaughstealin 1:14 twist is ridiculous. 1:7 is good for the heavier bullets, 1:8 is good for the usual 55gr

  • @beencaughstealin It's definately 1:7 there guy, if it were 1:14, you wouldn't be able to hit shit past like 200m

  • @beencaughstealin military rifles are 1:7 twist.

  • @beencaughstealin it says right on the barrel before the flash suppressor. Nato 1:7

  • @beencaughstealin AR-15's/M16's/M4's are 1:7 twists. That fact is beyond simple to check yourself. It seems your ARMY armorers are idiots who lie to cover up their own lack of knowledge. If you like throwing out creds then I was a Marine infantryman who did a spell in the armory(against my will) and have been shooting AR's for most of my life which includes BUILDING several from scratch. Tho you CAN get them in others. Most common are 1:7,1:8,1:9

  • @eliminshrintar So we wanna pull rank here and start dick measuring? Bottom line is just ask the manufacturer, I think they know a little more than any "rank"

  • @beencaughstealin It was 1:14, 1:12 before they went with a faster twist rate to stabilize the heavier tracer round.

  • @beencaughstealin i believe the 1:14 twist was on the first m16's, they've been decreasing the twist ever since the first variant

  • @scuds03 Its Right hand twist 1/7 Read it FM 3-22.9 AIRBORNE(SSG.)

  • @scuds03 this is probably really random but do you reckon a 30-06 kicks much more than a 308 if anything at all?

  • @BAZYLBRUSH I've shot both. I own a Savage Model 10 in 308 and my buddy has a few rifles in 30-06, I can't tell any difference in the recoil. I'm sure they are a little different but its negligable.

  • @scuds03 do u know much about the recoil in the 270?

  • @BAZYLBRUSH I shot a guys 270 at the range and seriously the recoil is NOT worth it..the recoil was very sharp and hard. After 5 rounds my shoulder was sore. I'm just saying there are too many other cheaper calibers out there that do just as well both ballistically and terminally to justify going with the 270.

  • @scuds03 ok awesome so what would you recommend? i want something powerful but not massive recoil u know?

  • @BAZYLBRUSH i have a 270 mossberg and the recoil is not bad if your use to shooting lower calibers than it will take time for you to be very accurate but after you shoot it a few times its awesome.

  • @scuds03 and Been-

You're both right, as far as I've read. Earlier A1 M16s had a less extreme twist rate (1-14" I think?) than A2 and M4's. Heavier tracers aren't stabilized in A1's and are only used so in a pinch, from what I read. Hell, I could be wrong but I don't think either of you are wrong either.

  • @scuds03 older m16/m4 had 1:14 twist. Read it in several published books i bought while building my first AR.

  • @scuds03 my vote gets the 1:7

  • WOAHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • Shit, man, that's the last time I'm going tent camping in THOSE woods.

  • very nice AR you got.

  • wow whats that...... are they bouncing of the hill or something....... damn

  • Another lefty comrade. Thanks for the post.

  • did that last round riccochet off a tree? looked weird :)

  • Okay this sounds dumb but did I see the third bullet fly up and to the right?

  • cool so your neighbor's dog is dead now..

  • im left handed, but whats wierd is, i shoot rifles with my right, but shoot handguns with my left, is anyone like that?

  • @immapopcha i write left, shoot rifles left or right (slightly better lefty) and connot for the life of me hold a pistol 2handed in my right hand.... one handed is fine but i just can't place the second hand right lol

  • Man, what a beautiful gun.

  • ya take that trees

i bet those trees wont be bothering you anymore

  • looks like a good enough backstop to me.

  • did you see that spin-off!! holy smokes

  • what kind of gun is that?

  • @volsman80 DPMS AR-15 .223

  • @beencaughstealin if its a 223 how yu shooting 556

  • @jay4201203461003 same size rounds .223(civilian) 5.56x45(military)

  • i like that the dislike bar is like a REDNECK on a green body

  • Why do the bullets shirk in weird directions in the woods? Does that mean that they hit the ground? Also, I've been seeing alot of these tracer bullet videos and it seems they have increased bullet drop. Does the tracer have anything to do with this, or does bullet drop affect bullets THAT much.

  • @xXJEashXx That is the actuall drop of the bullet, bullets arch like that.

  • shooting left handed is so wierd

  • @rkb12222 I do most things right handed, but I am left eye dominant.

  • @rkb12222 lefty is awesome! Well, maybe for me, since i am blind in my right eye! Awesome tracers!

  • @rkb12222 it sucks being a lefty, sometimes. Everything is made for right-handed people.

  • that was cool lol bullets bounce like crazy.

  • Why the government has the right to tell us what firearms to own I will never understand.

  • @je25ff ....Politicans tell lies and create fear, that in turn generates job security because they 'find soultions' to the hysteria they create. Guns, crime, taxes, the newest Bad Guy ETC ETC.

  • @vorevox You are absolutely correct. It's not limited to one side of the aisle or the other; all politicians need some sort of emergency in order to get reelected, whether it's gun control, marajuana, abortion, war, etc.

  • jeez, firing into the woods... find a proper backstop

  • @clutchcrazy888 There is a hill in those woods, thanks for your astute internet advice.

  • @beencaughstealin True, but you have a HOUSE downrange. THAT is unsafe... BTW, you can set the trees on fire. I've done it before WITH and WITHOUT tracers on night fire excercises ARMY side.

  • @beencaughstealin Not to mention that a small patch of forest is easily enough to stop any bullet as long as you don't shoot over it.

  • @clutchcrazy888 Theres plenty of trees there to stop a bullet.

  • What camera are you using? The quality is excellent!

  • @etucker5007 HD FLIP

  • The bullet is so wayward

  • At the end of twelve seconds, the tracer round drops dramatically and glows for a moment followed by a loud yelp. WTF did you hit? Lmao

  • can you please explain to me why the bullet goes straight then all of a sudden it becomes extremely unpredictable? thanks

  • thank god for rednecks....nice gun btw how bad did those tracers dirty up your gun? just wondering.

  • @chineseacidtrip They don't make it to dirty but I've never shot more than 5 with out a full tear down/cleaning.

  • @beencaughstealin thats whats up how has that XD from your other videos treated you

  • @chineseacidtrip I love my XD, most accurate pistol I've ever shot. I have a Viridian laser/light combo on it too.

  • @beencaughstealin I've fired numerous tracer rounds out of an M16A2 and never found them to gunk up the weapon any more so than regular rounds.

  • @beencaughstealin

    What zombie pale,so what?

  • F*ck this races peace of shit any one can own guns idiot .

  • @CALIPAINTBALLER *racist

    Thanks for your comment!

  • @CALIPAINTBALLER Except Nazis no one likes Nazis. (Nazis are not classified as Germans)

  • firing tracers at a forest, very intelligent.

  • @PatTheRiot Almost as intelligent as flaming on youtube

  • @beencaughstealin was that a heartagram tattoo

  • @beencaughstealin Black?

  • he probably stole this gun too

  • @lHustonProductionsl Haha i want too, fire season aint over yet though... XD

  • @lHustonProductionsl Well then you sir had one shitty gun, no offense, but I have 2 .223's (well one with a .223 chamber and one with a 5.56) both with 1:9" twists and they will shoot 75 grain bullets, none to accurate but enough accuracy to hit milk jugs at 250 yards (never shot farther than that so far) If i remember correctly the 865's are 64 grain? so they should be well inside of the 1:9" twists weight range.

  • @lHustonProductionsl No they wont fly that random

  • press 5, whats that scream man?! looks like the tracer round hits something on the ground

  • what brand?

  • it looked like they all started to fly around right when they got the same distance away. was that them hitting stuff in the distance or do they lose reliability at that distance?

  • @Ibly31 they lost reliability, some of them shoot consistently while others shoot wildly

  • It was him.

  • Who was that that yelled OHHH
