Colby was just known far and wide for his excellent dogs, and his dog Primo was used for the foundation standard for the AmStaff. Colby dogs are known to be one of the purest lines of the APBT, and have always been known for their gameness, agility, soundness, and overall body.

@xWolfHauntx how do you know there are millions of APBT dying every day? I dont see to many real APBT nowadays except from a few hunters and proper breeders and people who managed to get a real one. I see alot of Am Staff and Am bullies dying through shelters etc. because they are being bred more and over crowd the shelters. The APBT will never die out but they may be harder to obtain. There are to many enthusiasts that love this breed who will make sure the original sticks around.
@xWolfHauntx I own a APBT and a APBT Am Bully mix and both are great dogs. I agree on stopping the mass production and sloppy breeding of various bully breeds but I dont think they should be hated because its not the animals fault but the people who breed them for profit only. I mean if you look at it this way the APBT you love is a mixture of the Staffie and Irish staff and various other bulldog terrier types from back in the day so the APBT and other breeds as well are hybrids in a way.
@chibi171 You're right, I don't hate the individual dogs, like if I saw a AB walking down the street, which I have once, I won't be like "oh sir you're dog is gross, what's wrong with you!" And when a AB puppy came into the shelter I was working out of for a APBT rescue, we still worked with the AB puppy, he was the sweetest thing, we couldn't even train him(we trained dogs for the CGC)because all he wanted to do was be in your lap, I actually almost adopted him.

How AB are often called APBT and as you can see with that Misscedarbridge chick I was arguing with, when people see a REAL, TRUE APBT, they think THAT is a mutt and think that AB are really what a APBT is supposed to look like, which is revolting. its kind sad, i have a german shepherd. got her when she was about 6 month old. no one want to socialize with her, except a couple kids who live in the neighborhood and my next door neighbor. When people walking their dogs see me with me gsd, they go to the other side of the street (she was really just a puppy)... I feel some people are just too ignorant about dog breeds...
seems like the husky was trying to be dominant to the bulldog terrier also the golden retriever when they try to mount her that's what they wanted to demonstrate dominance careful with that sometimes it can lead to lil fights not just with "APBTs" but with any other breeds anyway all beautiful dogs i loved the lil bulldog terrier she's in top shape

People at dog parks form little clicks and start drama for bully breed owners. Most of the regulars were unemployed losers with nothing better to do but go everyday instead of looking for a JOB!!. It's a shame people ruin the park because I liked going there to see all the other types of dogs.

@xxoncenothingxx dog parks arent for pit bulls. I stopped taking my pit mix to the dog park for the same reason. A bunch of people freaked out after a man's dog started a fight with my girl and they tried getting me banned. if you want a dog park dog, get a lab or a poodle. Keep your pits out of dog parks. Pit bulls dont need dog friends to be happy.

Not taking her and putting her in a situation where she could potentially injure someone IS handling her. She's well-socialized with people and that's all I need from her.

I have a boxer and he plays the same way, playing rough tries them out. Only thing is that 2 playing dogs is fine but as soon as there is 3 dogs in the mix it can get out of hand, more so in a new environment where the new dog (my boxer) feel like he is walking into a pack (dog park) In my experience
Guys, wagging tails don't always equal happy. In dogs, a wagging tail is like holding a knife and smiling - at a kids' birthday party in front of a cake, it's okay. Standing over your bed at midnight? Not so much.
In case you guys dont get sarcasm, the person who posted this knew it wasn't a wolf, they were only joking. Also, the dogs aren't fighting, they are playing rough. You notice the wagging tails? I used to have a couple dogs that used to play so rough it looked like they were fighting, there is a difference.

I agree on stopping the mass production and sloppy breeding of various bully breeds but I dont think they should be hated because its not the animals fault but the people who breed them for profit only. I mean if you look at it this way the APBT you love is a mixture of the Staffie and Irish staff and various other bulldog terrier types from back in the day so the APBT and other breeds as well are hybrids in a way.

@chibi171 You're right, I don't hate the individual dogs, like if I saw a AB walking down the street, which I have once, I won't be like "oh sir you're dog is gross, what's wrong with you!" And when a AB puppy came into the shelter I was working out of for a APBT rescue, we still worked with the AB puppy, he was the sweetest thing, we couldn't even train him(we trained dogs for the CGC)because all he wanted to do was be in your lap, I actually almost adopted him.

How AB are often called APBT and as you can see with that Misscedarbridge chick I was arguing with, when people see a REAL, TRUE APBT, they think THAT is a mutt and think that AB are really what a APBT is supposed to look like, which is revolting. And B.) I hate designer dog breeders as a whole, I can't stand them or any designer breed dog. And yes, I own a "designer breed." But, I rescued her and today, I call her a mix breed.

its kind sad, i have a german shepherd. got her when she was about 6 month old. no one want to socialize with her, except a couple kids who live in the neighborhood and my next door neighbor. When people walking their dogs see me with me gsd, they go to the other side of the street (she was really just a puppy)... I feel some people are just too ignorant about dog breeds...

People at dog parks form little clicks and start drama for bully breed owners. Most of the regulars were unemployed losers with nothing better to do but go everyday instead of looking for a JOB!!. It's a shame people ruin the park because I liked going there to see all the other types of dogs.

@xxoncenothingxx dog parks arent for pit bulls. I stopped taking my pit mix to the dog park for the same reason. A bunch of people freaked out after a man's dog started a fight with my girl and they tried getting me banned. if you want a dog park dog, get a lab or a poodle. Keep your pits out of dog parks. Pit bulls dont need dog friends to be happy.

Thats like asking a collie not to herd sheep or a lab not to retrieve. Just because your dog is not specifically gamebred does not mean its not from game lines, especially if you have a rescue or stray. It's not about taming, it's about genetics. Dogfighting is what they were bred to do and what they will do.

Not taking her and putting her in a situation where she could potentially injure someone IS handling her. She's well-socialized with people and that's all I need from her.

I have a boxer and he plays the same way, playing rough tries them out. Only thing is that 2 playing dogs is fine but as soon as there is 3 dogs in the mix it can get out of hand, more so in a new environment where the new dog (my boxer) feel like he is walking into a pack (dog park) In my experience

I used to have a couple dogs that used to play so rough it looked like they were fighting, there is a difference.

My point is, power is not everything, especially in a pitbull. Their obediance to a good owner is the reason many GOOD dog owners seek them out. Not because of power. @plusCHEESE power and ability often contradict one another, you haven't the slightest clue about game bred animals and all that implies. a powerlifter can't run a marathon,why? because it takes a lot of oxygen to service all that added muscle mass and therefore lack stamina,...stamina is the first trait one should look for in game dogs.you need to research what "gameness" means before you comment any further. gameness is the only reason that makes an apbt superior to all other dogs/breed types.

She works in politics, travels often for hiking, speaks several languages, studies science... So, though you may have interest in zoology and botany, it is still only one interest: Biology. Not at all well rounded, with animals and plants being your only evidence thus far stated. And you still aren't answering me.
