I think this is patch but there is the exactly same glitch but different process. take out your care package hold it in your hand, go to somewhere it saids climb, climb it, then you hold your special grenades and care package, then press right on d-pad once then let go of special grenades then care package.

well for ps3 anyway, there was an update a while ago...but apparently there is a new glitch for this that i dont know how to do :(
