  • LOVE IT~ONE OF MY FAVS!!

  • THE WHOLE ALBUM IS GOOD!!!!!!!!

  • But when you're feeling my touch....U don't be complaining as Much! That's self assurance.....(sexy)

  • I just found this tune. You hear just about all of the Isley's slow jams, because I think they are known for their love songs more than their faster songs, but this is banging lol!

  • They make the best sex music.

  • 8 ppl dont know when to say they need it-again

  • @wibo08 shut up bitch

  • Its a fly love song .

  • What makes the song for me..... "What's comin over your mind... you wanted my sugar... this time... we're good together.. I know.. Why would you go lookin for new love tomorrow... Why don't you tell me when you need it again..."

  • @mikemillion2000 I agree! Only ONE of my favorites....what's good IS good and one can say it with confidence

  • @ladycat629 No question, my only problem is that when most people hear this album, they only think about 'Footsteps in the Dark', but some of them forgot about this one track here, also 'Voyage to Atlantis'.. Now that's love music...

  • I cant post

  • Where good together I know....so why would you go looking for new love tomorrow......tell me when you need it again........man ...one can't go wrong saying that to a tender....that's music yalll.......real instruments ........brothers by blood....working together.........what...been a Isley fan........grew up and still listen to the brothers...and know all their songs.....some surprised me ....but I fell right on in ......like I was on stage with them blowing.......help me somebody......

  • Confidence! Bro said in this song, "We're good together....I KNOW"! "Tell me when you need it again". " So I can keep you satisfied" "Said we needed a change, we should be doin other thangs....but when your feelin my touch, you don't be complaining as much".........I Love The Isley Brothers! Wonder who wrote that song?

  • @ladycat629 IF YOU CAN GET A OLD ALBUM THE BROTHERS WROTE MOST OF THESE (CLASSICS) THEMSELVES RUDOLPH & O'KELLY WERE THE MAIN WRITERS, ALONG WITH CHRIS JASPER THEIR BRO-LAW CHECK THE CREDITS ON THE ALBUM COVERS. RON WROTE 2 ,AS DID MARVIN 7 ERNIE TOO.

  • Man this smooth, pure artistry!!! I thank God for growing up on this kind of music!!!

  • isley brothers form like voltron on this track

  • Today's R&B=Rubbish & Bullshit / OL SKOOL R&B=Rhythm & Blues

  • I'm 21 Isley Brothers is the shit fuck today's shit

  • @SOULJATWIN who gives a fuck how old you are

  • I am so versatile when it comes to music I like all kinds but this is my kind of music above all, growing up on ewf and the commodores bar-kays parliament funkadelic and the list goes on. There was no naked booty shakin going on just to make a good record

  • gracias por compartir esta gran musica excelent ritmo and real god very god

    tanks

  • What other song has the same back beat of this song, and not anything by the Avalanches?

  • @artista- and us jews...some of us aren't rich doctirs/lawyers..ect. we are all people..just people. as for this music-its great. i was playing what i could of climbinup the ladder for some black kids who never heard it...they loved it...they could tell its the funk, and wanted to learn more guitar riffs

  • @artista- and us jews...some of us aren't rich doctirs/lawyers..ect. we are all people..just people

  • The Isleys are a great band, another good song from a great album. Everyone in cincinnati knows of them since they were from here. I'm glad they still produce some new songs, even though this is the era i like the best from them. Marvin (the bassist) just passed on, RIP Marvin Isley!

  • Now I hear draws fallin to da flo!

  • @PEORIA1959 In unison...EVERYWHERE!!!

  • I second that Arista83, I try not to knock other music styles but the music today if you want to call it music is just not my thing. I see it a lot on here people under 40 or so really liking and appreciating the old school stuff. I get tired of hearing about hoochies and jewelry. If that's all they got to say, that's pretty SAD !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @gbrown4x4 It makes u think are u a talented artist just to buy jewerly and cars and have sex whenever u want...ewwww so not cute. You should have soul and the drive in ur heart to make good descent music like the isley brothers singing about love and how to make life better I dont think him and his brothers were worry about what size chain they were going to wear around their necks when they sing and perform.

  • OH yeah the pfunk !!!!! Pure sex.

  • if you listen to this song real good you can hear , that same sound in the sly and family stone(family afair)song, i love this stuff yall

  • this song is so sexy

  • Isleys at their best!

  • Rudolph begins leading...O'kelly leads "You said we needed a change,,," Ronald comes in after the hook and continues thru the song.

  • I love the rawness and boldness of this song......

  • sly and damn near everyone in the mid to late 70's had this sound... It's just the wa wa pedal being used at its best!

  • That wa wa pedal sound in the 1970's was wicked!!! I even heard that sound in John Wayne movie, "MCQ", in the opening credits.

  • There is no wah wah pedal on guitar, the wah sound is the synthesizer.

  • I was born in 1983 and I love the Isley Brothers I am a down south GA girl and we all are bought up on this type of music Otis Reddig Sam Cook Luther MAze EarthWindFire just to name a few so yall need to get with peace and hair grease

  • @deluxdiva haha, Michael Jackson would not agree! His caught on fire!

  • I'm surprised nobody recognizes the Sly Stone influence.. Listen to Family Affair

  • I used to think this was one of his songs when I was a kid until I heard the vocals. I could so see this being on a Sly & The Family Stone album.

  • @byrd1nypa that was just the sound back then The Isleys where super old even back then lol

  • Comment removed

  • Sly's " When you want me to stay I'll be around today.....Hey! I hear it.. so funky just so funky!!!!

  • Stop coming to these songs and typing, wit and baselinez..its bass.. you make yourself look stupid and young.

  • I WISH pac coulda sampled more isley traccz.......baselinez....are heavy wit the isleyz.....

  • Lucky, Lucky, Lucky...Kyla. My how I loved you.

  • Lucky, Lucky, Lucky Kyla...

  • I was born in 1972 and this is the first time that I've heard this song. I love the Isley Brothers for their snesuality and sexuality. No woman could ever say they did not know what was on their minds.

  • shutup

  • Legendary !!!

  • I was born in '86, lol, I love the Isley Brothers!

  • 1975, georgetown texas only real old school know about this

  • Funkus Extremis. I agree with the folks who say - Why nobody doin' it now?

There'd be less fightin' n more lovin'!

God Bless The Isleys for what they brung.

  • Cool is cool with the Isley's. Funk is Funk iwith the Isley's. Bring it back.

  • best...... boyfriend number 2 song......of all time

  • 55 year old white guy from south carolina love the isley brothers since probably 1977 . have 21 year old son that also loves their music

  • Great music is color blind. I'm a 40 something(LOL) black woman that loves Elton John,James Taylor,Todd Rundgren,The Eagles,Doobies. Music is universal........

  • You are ever so right!! Without Todd Rundgren, there would be no "Hello (It's Me)" by the Isley Brothers.

  • Omg I'm 19 years old and this is my song...da background is so cool...I miss music like dis

  • man i would love to re do this joint because it has all the elements funk rock soul good hook id ad more of a funkrock sound to it but the vocals would be straight R&B cant forget the clav work on it got a hump in my back right now listening LOL

  • A little fyi.Jimi Hendrix played with Isley Brothers in the late 50's & early 60's before venturing solo. Hendrix taught Ernie some tricks. That's why Ernie has that slight Hendrix sound.

  • WOW!! NEVER KNEW THAT!!! prety cool~~~~

  • I feel you norfleetw. I like the way you say that "blue-eyed soul". That was the stuff back in the day. That whole album reminds me of Spring semester '77 at Grambling.

  • My God this is real soul music the way it rocks and groove's are so smooth!!!

  • Barack needs to play this album at his inauguration! Love this track.

  • umm.... i don't think so!! idiot!

  • why not? its a great song! Barack will be a great President! Whats the problem?

  • this song is not right for the white house... and plus this song is about sex, not a good song to play if his kids are nearby...

  • well i agree that it shouldnt be played in front of his kids, i dont think they go to the balls late at night. time to loosen up the white house..:)

  • i agree...time to loosen up the white house...avastacia must be from the bush administrative side...that is probably why he doesnt want it to be played at the white house lol

  • you can kiss my ass!! just because this song is inapropriate to play at the white house, doesn't mean that i support bush, you idiot! don't assume to know people! and ps: i'm a girl jackass!!

  • If the prez wants to jam the Isleys why shouldn't he? I'm sure the previous president listened to whatever it is they like in Texas.

  • okay.....

  • yes , this is grown folks music. i,m sure his kids won't hear is. it's not as bad as that white girl that sings that song i touch myself. that bush was playing in the white house.

  • lol! i totally agree!

  • My sister "CYNTHIA WILLIAMS" introduced this to me,4:00am waking up to go the feilds in Ocala,Fl.Actually the whole album, but this song reminds me of her.THANKS SIS...MISS YOU R.I.P

  • i grew up with the Isley's, Cameo, ew&f, Sun, Donny Hathaway, Bootsy, Slave, Kleeer and LBNL Maze....Jeee man were we spoiled in the '70's. Damn what happened since the 80's?

  • I feel ya Bro nothing like the 70's , that groove , don't forget the Floaters, blue magic,Barry White, Nick and Val , Fazo , Dazz Band, Brick, and don't forget that blue-eyed soul Framptom , now get on down !

  • THAT'S WHEN MUSIC WAS MUSIC

  • that bass is hot! bwao bwao bwao

    and the harmonized guitars, yes!

  • This album was the best back in the day! I love the Isley Brothers - I WANT THIS TYPE OF MUSIC TO RETURN NOW! Who plays new songs like this? NOBODY!!! New artists, take notes.

  • Great Song-Great Album!! I was Like 10 Years When This Song/Album Came Out!!

  • This song reminds me of many bar-b-que picnics in Chicago in the summer.....chillin

  • Man that song reminds me of my 2nd semester at Grambling.Spring of '77. I remember since '74 around April the Isleys' would release they're new albums eacj year amd up KNEW it was going to be BAD!!!!!!! Ernie on guitar totally awesome. One side was the slow jammz and other was the funk !!!!

  • I had this album when I was station abroad back in the late 80's and my older Brotha had it when it 1st came out in '77!!' Its an "Classic" then and its "Still" A Classic Now!! I was an Isley Brothers,EW&F and The O'jays "Fanatic" back when I was Station Abroad!! I don't miss the military but I did have an "Wonderful" time abroad and this song brings back fond memories!!! Thinks Crustbrown 4 posting this Song!! Peace.

  • I love the Isleys, and especially this album..

  • pipples etc.,

as ronald so aptly states on this song, "what's comin over your mind?"

Ronald should be freed on time served. tHEy impact lives for the better, larger than large, his crime isn't violent, he's an international, multigenerational, obviously loved mega superstar. And he is not in good health plus he has a new baby and a new wife.

they gave a guy guilty of killin my brother LESS than 2 years.... Common sense needs to be applied.

  • DAMN. When did Ronald Isley go to JAIL? What the hell is with the IRS lately? The first winner of survivor got about five years in prison for 'tax evasion' as well...

  • Oh is this song hot or is it me?!!! lol! love it!!! sang it ronald, play it brothers!

  • another one of the best! i love this song! another example of how these isleys brothers were able to funkasize so much funk into music like only the isley brothers can: There is the song, followed by this eternal long extreme funky instrumental jam playing till the end... and its never not enough. lets play it again! This is the Isley Brothers! They are the best!

  • I LOVE YOU ISLEYSSS!!!!

  • Ernie Isley was really at his musical writting peak on this album, until Isley-Jasper-Isley, and his own solo albums...this entire album was excellant!

  • the harmony is sick on this song! i love it!!

  • My boys and I would sit in his bedroom for an hour or so and listen to the Isleys just to get in the right mackin mood. Then go to the club and have a ball. Of course the one with the most phone numbers won.. lol

    That was the days.....

  • FREEEESH"!! CLASSIC"

  • he's going to jail because he broke the law. Music "legends" shouldn't be exempt from the law.

  • By the way, check out Defjam website and their plea for Isley brother fans to send letters n make calls regarding the Presidential pardon for avoid Ron Isley from doing 3 yrs in a medical prison for a tax invasion. Please Call: 1-202-456-1111,Fax:1-202-456-2461, again visit the defjam website and take action for him. He's 65, frail health due to a stroke and so forth. We dont want a legend like this to possibly die in prison.

  • Man look, as many people as Ronnie messed over he's reaping what he sowed. He will be alright, let him handle his own biz, hell he's been doing it for over 40 years + and he did'nt manage his business afairs properly, even after they gave him chance after chance, and if James Brown can go to jail so can Ronnie.

  • They dont make music like this because they lack true creatively. They rather borrow beats from the legends. Many studio musicians do not want to go deep into their souls to find the originality and creativity that's given to them by God. So, they create surfice stuff no depths.

  • exactly hr714! black music used to be sooo brilliant compared to this bloody, stupid, material asses showing nothing but money and naked ugly girls on their videos.

    up the soul and funk!!

  • I hate it when people put down ALL black people, as if we're all exactly the same. There are hundreds of thousands of black artists and musicians who create music that isn't focused on money and naked girls. Stop being so ignorant and go find it! Stop being lazy and accepting what the media feels it should be feeding to you. Does it make sense to put all white folks, Latinos, or whatever, in the same category? No! What's makes you think we're so unique in that blacks all create the same way?

  • @Arista83 Have faith, not all of us are that shallow. If it's what you're looking for you will find it, that I cannot deny. Just remember both good and bad can infect and spread to others who will follow your path in life.

  • Wow why don`t black bands make this type of great music like this anymore?

  • Uggh. You're so ignorant it's sad. Just because you need to be baby-fed your music doesn't mean that great modern black bands don't exist.

  • Great song, music should be about dancing and moving

  • every song on this LP was great!

  • right!!!! EVERY song....one of my FAVORITE albums of ALL time...funk rock and beautiful soul music...so the shit!!! and that's Ernie playing guitar AND drums!

  • I knew Chris Jasper and Ernie along with Marvin also helped out with drums.... BUT I thought the main drummer for the Isleys during this era was George Morland

  • still is great today....have lp & cd.

  • i just remember being so happy when i bought this LP. Rock radio was playing "Climbin' Up The Ladder" with my rock friends loving it. While I was diggin' everything else on the LP. Brings back such sweet memories.

  • the dayz when they played there music....1977 i was in the school band at the time & man that livin in the life was funkly as hell,go for your guns with Ernie playin that lead "MAN" the good dayz r no more.
